About the property

House, 4 Bedrooms, 2.5 Baths, (Sleeps 6-8)

Escape the hustle and bustle, and come enjoy some R&R on Lake Glenville in the breath-taking mountains of North Carolina. This wonderful four bedroom, three bath lake front vacation home can easily accommodate your family and is a great place to enjoy your next visit to the Cashiers/Lake Glenville area. Conveniently located on the East side of the lake, you are just steps from your own private dock. You are also just off Hwy 107 making it easy for day trips to Cashiers, Highlands and local area attractions.

On the main level of this well furnished and lovingly maintained home there are two separate living areas one of which has a fireplace, dining area, kitchen, laundry room and guest bathroom. Upstairs is the master bedroom with a king bed with seating area and master bath along with three additional bedrooms, two with queen beds and the other with twin bunk beds. All of these bedrooms share a bathroom. Downstairs there is an enclosed garage. Other amenities in the main house include central air and heat, dock, fire pit with outdoor seating, wifi and a great deck that runs the length of the house to enjoy an early morning cup of coffee or the evening sunsets. This home is pet friendly, kid friendly, and fun friendly. This home is sure to please, so book early!

We are a short drive to both Cashiers and Highlands where you will find great antiquing, restaurants and shops. The area is often referred to as "the land of waterfalls", five of which feed Lake Glenville situated at 3542 feet above sea level with 26 miles of shoreline and pristine mountain lake waters. There is never a dull moment at the lake-- whether waterskiing, viewing waterfalls, fishing, hiking, camping, shopping or just relaxing. Just being at the lake together makes for special memories! There is truly 'something for everyone' to do. Turn the kids loose to jump in the lake or take a canoe ride while you sit on the porch rocker and just read a good book. Go for a hike and view a waterfall of magnificent beauty; visit a local town and go antiquing; view mountain art at one of the many craft shows. Golf at one of the local top class courses. If you want moment to moment activity for all age groups, it is readily available. If you want relaxation, it is built-in with this “getaway from it all'-paradise. Think of summer 2011 now! This is the most popular time for cooling off at the lake.

Guests can enjoy the lake from our comfortable covered deck or by canoe and kayak. The lake and dock are right there accessed by a gentle sloping path that meanders past the bar b que pit. This pristine mountain lake is a favorite for boaters, fishermen and nature explorers alike. Each twist and turn of Lake Glenville offers unexpected views of the lake, waterfalls, fauna, and wildlife.

As evening falls on the mountain-tops a warm fire may be enjoyed at the outdoor fire pit, sit around the stone circle and swap stories from the adventures of the day, or just curl up with a good book on the dock or covered deck.
