We are originally from Ft Myers, Florida. Peggy is retired, and I am semi-retired. ( I spend the summer as whitewater river guide) We have 2 children and 4 grand children. We built our modest home here in 1985. Naturally family and friends love to visit so we found the need to add the Guest House in 2010.
Owner purchased this Guest House in 2010
Why Owner chose Hayesville
We feel very fortunate to have found this little piece of paradise. Just the view of the river itself is so peaceful. The small town atmosphere is another reason we love it here.
What makes this Guest House unique
The relaxing views and sound of the river , plus being able to just walk down and enjoying fishing, kayaking, and swimming are a nice bonus.

Clean, comfortable, convenient.
Spent two weeks here, using it as a base to look at property in Clay, Cherokee, Towns and Union counties. Love the area and enjoyed the cottage. Watching the river flow by is always relaxing.
Peggy and Lyndell are gracious hosts and have a beautiful guest house inside and out. The accommodations were great and we would definitely stay here again.
This is our second year here and have already booked a week for next year. The accommodations are very nice, modern, clean and have just about anything you would need for your stay. Lyndell and Peg are great hosts!
Excellent as always
Property is wonderful--and this year some new furnishings in the living room--looks fabulous. As always Peggy and Lyndall are absolutely the best! Intend to return again next year!
A bit of Paradise
This property was everything we had hoped for. The property is beautiful and the river.. ahhh the river. The cabin was immaculate and anything you would ever need was right at your fingertips. The beds slept wonderful. And of course the homeowners, Lyndell and Peggy..If we needed anything they were so gracious and kind. Thank you so much for making our vacation very memorable.
Relaxing River Retreat
This property was exactly what we hoped for and so much more. The sights and sounds of the Hiawassee River are the best way to spend a week in NC. Located between Murphy and Hayesville, this a great location. The beautiful Fires Creek area is just down the road a bit and should not be missed. The bed was so comfortable it gave us the best nights sleep in a long time! For the cook in your group, you will find the kitchen very well laid out, complete with a good quality gas stove and enough counter space to prepare a delicious meal.
Rates are for 2 guests. Add $5.00 per night for each additional guest. There is a $50.00 pet cleaning fee! The cleaning fee and pet fee will be $100.00 each for guests staying more the 14 days. Thank You.
