We are originally from Ft Myers, Florida. Peggy is retired, and I am semi-retired. ( I spend the summer as whitewater river guide) We have 2 children and 4 grand children. We built our modest home here in 1985. Naturally family and friends love to visit so we found the need to add the Guest House in 2010.
Owner purchased this Guest House in 2010
Why Owner chose Hayesville
We feel very fortunate to have found this little piece of paradise. Just the view of the river itself is so peaceful. The small town atmosphere is another reason we love it here.
What makes this Guest House unique
The relaxing views and sound of the river , plus being able to just walk down and enjoying fishing, kayaking, and swimming are a nice bonus.

Loved the heated bathroom floors, the comfy beds and elegantly modern kitchen, and the riverfront
Everything was above our expectations. The balcony to enjoy the river had a grill and table and chairs to enjoy the river and the sound of.it rushing by. We enjoyed walking by the river and getting special photos together...The interior was crafted with fine materials and is elegantly modern with a heater bathroom floor and a beautiful kitchen with everything required plus a waffle maker. The beds were very comfortable. Very accommodating amd heplful host with any questions or special requests...Will definitely be returning
Wonderful convenient 4 thumbs and 4 paws up!!
Great stay. Lyndell and Peggy were very nice very accommodating and responsive. The guest house offers privacy in a beautiful location overlooking the river. Interior is very nicely done and was super clean. Book a stay, just not on our weeks 😀
The guest house was very clean and beautifully decorated located in a beautiful area. The house sits up on a hill overlooking the river. You walk down 2 sets of stairs to the water that has a fire pit with 4 chairs surrounding it. There was fire wood stacked up but we bought some at Ingles which is located right down the road. The owners live on the property but we never saw them. The guest house is detached from the actual house. The loft will actually sleep 4 people and the bedroom sleeps 2. The bed downstairs slept wonderfully. There is a deck off of the living room with patio furniture and a gas grill where you can see and hear the river. The kitchen has everything you need to cook a meal. The bathroom has heated tile floor and a ceiling heater/fan. The owners supplied toilet paper and paper towels. If you will be staying for more than a couple of days there is not a washer/dryer in the guest house and you may want to inquire about that. There is a garage below that could have a set available to you, I’m not sure. My kids played outside on the gravel driveway with a tennis ball and their friendly black cat. This guest house was quality built and you will not find another place as nice and clean for a great price. We will most definitely return! Thank you Lyndell and Peggy for allowing us to stay at your home.
Everything was very clean and prepared for our stay. There were very nice features to the cabin that we weren’t expecting, it was an amazing overall experience.
Clean, comfortable, convenient.
Spent two weeks here, using it as a base to look at property in Clay, Cherokee, Towns and Union counties. Love the area and enjoyed the cottage. Watching the river flow by is always relaxing.
Peggy and Lyndell are gracious hosts and have a beautiful guest house inside and out. The accommodations were great and we would definitely stay here again.
