Why The Owner chose North Shore

It is a beautiful home in one of the most breathtaking and adventurous places. The North side of the Island has some of the most spectacular views of all of the Garden Island.

What makes this villa unique

Two beautiful decks with some of the best views on the island!

Guestbook comments from the owner

Even though it has rained several times since we have been here, it has been great!! We went to explore the northern part of the island today and almost did not get back over that one lane bridge before they closed it due to flash floods. That was definitely interesting!! It really is beautiful here, even with the rain!! The wedding is tomorrow night at the St. Regis. It has been so much fun being here and enjoying the island with good friends! Thanks again for everything you have done to make this trip so enjoyable!!

Great PRIVATE home in Princeville

  • 4 of 5

There are a string of these pole houses toward the end of the road before the St Regis. They are facing the beautiful green valley, mountains and golf course. The big plus is the adjoining walls. This is a spacious two story cottage. Upstairs in the living space with half bath. Downstairs, two bedrooms and 2 baths (one is en suite). There are decks off of both levels. A lot of care was taken to make sure you will be right at home. A lot of rental units will have spartan cooking gear but this home is made to live in with everything you need to cook PLUS a full compliment of spices, oils, foil, coffee filters... that you'd expect in a full kitchen. Nice.

The TV is massive! If you are into watching movies, you'll be in heaven. (though no DVD's but drawers full of old can watch Netflix though) A smaller set is in one of the bedrooms.

A nice assortment of beach gear is available...snorkels, beach mats, folding chairs etc.

The only thing I would add would be a blow dryer in one of the bathrooms and a golf umbrella for the inevitable rains. (both are heavy items to have to pack)

This home is a stones throw from the St Regis and Hideaways Beach. We also walked to Queens Bath from here. Beautiful location. Dedicated parking space for unit. Very reasonable price for all that space and privacy. A lot of love was put into making this home comfortable.

Great Cottage on North Shore

  • 4 of 5

My son and I stayed in this great villa for about a week and were so pleased. It is located in an exclusive development and is quite new and beautifully appointed. Of course, the real beauty of the place is the view from the back porch - mountains, waterfalls and tropical foliage. Colorful birds joined our porch parties. The cottage is about a 10 minute drive to Hanalei Bay, which is so very charming and filled with good restaurants. But you can also walk out the front door, make a left and in a few steps you are in the incredible St Regis. Important for us, the lovely St. Regis beach was also just a short walk, behind the hotel. That beach offered great snorkeling! We got lucky and watched a huge sea turtle dine among the rocks. In any case, we highly recommend this lovely cottage.

So sad to leave

  • 5 of 5

We escaped the winter weather of central Canada (Manitoba) and arrived around 4am, our time at the villa. After stumbling around in the dark we found the right place and settled in and the next morning we woke up in a lush paradise. An absolute pleasure to wake up each morning to watch the sun rise over the mountains and golf course. We hiked most of the trails and did lots of snorkelling, our favourite places were hideaway beach and the St. Regis beach, both of which are a short walk from the villa. We will miss this beautiful place as we return to ice and snow.

Fantastic Getaway!

  • 5 of 5

My family and I had a fantastic time in Kauai, which was largely due to the great villa in beautiful Princeville. The property is very spacious and was perfect for my family of four. We all agreed that we had the best night sleeps here. The villa has two levels with balconies on each level to enjoy breathtaking views of the mountainous island, lush greenery, flora and golf course. The kitchen was supplied with everything we needed for our stay. We loved buying groceries at the local grocery store and preparing some meals to enjoy while taking in the beautiful scenery on the balcony. A fantastic secluded beach is directly across the street. The villa is centrally located to some great beaches, great restaurants, sight seeing, and fun family activities. With a short drive, my family enjoyed getting dirty ATV riding, took a fishing trip, snorkeled, took a unforgettable helicopter tour, and saw spectacular views on our way to the top of the Waimea Canyons. We will never forget this trip and we hope we get a chance to go back one day! Thanks Lori and August!

Wonderful Stay!

  • 5 of 5

Highly recommended! The pictures do not do the villa justice! Villa was clean and very spacious for 4 adults, both bedrooms were a good size and it was nice to have the 2 floors to accommodate our different schedules. Great kitchen, lots of beach towels and chairs were provided. Having laundry available was a bonus. Lovely view of the mountains, we really enjoyed sitting out and relaxing on the lanai. A great beach just next door in front of the St. Regis (voted the best place on the island to have a drink and watch the sunset) and a beautiful small and secluded beach right across the road (but down a steep trail.) There is a parking spot right out front. You will definitely want to rent a car to explore the island, as there are not many amenities besides the hotel and golf courses in easy walking distance. Hanalei Bay and Kilauea are both less than a 10 min drive away. There are so many lush and breathtaking beaches in the north shore--there is something that feels almost magical about the area. We had been warned that the north shore could be rainy in January, but we had great weather. We much preferred the rugged beauty of the north shore to the more developed south and east coasts. Our time here flew by and we are already to trying to plan when we can come back next!! Another bonus was the amazing movie collection! Lots of VHS, but sooo much selection--we loved it! We watched Jurassic Park since it was filmed in Kauai.

Beautiful and well-maintained property, great value for money, great location for relaxing and exploring the north shore!

Incredible stay in Princeville Villa

  • 5 of 5

Our recent stay in Princeville at Hanalei Bay Villa was a week spent in paradise. The villa is beautifully located a short 5-minute walk to the magnificent Princeville St. Regis Hotel where we enjoyed snorkeling at one of the most beautiful and scenic beaches on the island. The villa is tastefully decorated and the kitchen well-stocked for cooking. The floor plan of the unit is very comfortable with the 2 bedrooms on the lower floor. The large washing and dryer machines came in handy during the week. We thoroughly enjoyed our adventurous 8-mile hike on the Napili Coast to Hanakapiai Beach and Hanakapiai Falls. (It was especially nice to have a comfortable villa in which to recuperate for the next few days.) The short walkway down the steep hill to Hideaway Beach was well worth the adventure to one of the most scenic and private beaches on the island. As the surf is high in the winter time, we enjoyed watching the surfers catch the waves. This peaceful location in Princeville overlooking the magnificent mountains can't be beat. I highly recommend this villa to anyone looking for a great stay in paradise. Balai Hai may call you. Any night, any day,... come away... come away.

Across the street from the spectacular Hideways beach and 5 minute walk to the beach adjacent to St. Regis Hotel. Both beaches offer snorkeling and beautiful sunset views.
