Här kan du hitta den riktiga NEAHKAHNIE TREASURE! Neahkahnies sanna skatt är energin från berget - den kraftfulla "livskraft" som den innehar och gör tillgänglig för var och en av oss. Neah-kah-nie betyder "andens plats".

Tre hundra meter ovanför vågorna vid havkanten av Neahkahnie-berget, trettio meter över marken, omgiven av gigantiska Sitka-gran och Douglasgran. Väl ut ur tsunamizonen. Se ut genom träden, både söder och väster till havet. Se upp från sovloftet genom ett stort takfönster förbi grenarna till nattstjärnorna.

Detta är en plats att lämna staden och stadskulturen bakom sig - en TV-fri zon (video / DVD / wi-fi finns). En reträtt till världen där resten av naturen talar högt. Där örnar cirklar och sjunger. Du kan röra sann fred och magi här.

Byggt för hand, med kärlek, för trettio år sedan. Vagga av berget, cederträ från floden. Loftet och taket är rödved. Det är ett bo där böcker, artiklar och visioner om världen vi flyttar in i har kläckts och tagit ving.

Stranden är en femton minuters promenad längs vägen och en trevlig aerob promenad tillbaka upp. En kort bilresa till Oswald West State Park, leden upp Neahkahnie Mountain, staden Manzanita eller Nehalem Bay State Park.

Boet är en plats att börja en ny resa, att uppdatera din själ, att hitta nytt djup, ny tillväxt; att välja nya framtider inom dig själv.

One of the best views of the coast! The house was perfect and we really enjoyed reading about its history. Very comfortable and we had everything we needed. I’m so glad our daughter talked us into going!

Check in was a breeze. The kitchen was fine, but the refrigerator was too small, but that is in the information provided. We managed pretty well as much of the time we were eating out, trying some of the great restaurants in the area.

A Special New Year's Celebration

This was our fourth stay at the Eagle's Nest and it never fails to be a wonderful experience. Celebrating New Year's Eve/Day in such a unique environment was special. Seeing the lights of 20 fishing boats out in the ocean at night was spectacular. Walking down to Manzanita and seeing the beach crowded with people taking part in the annual "Polar Plunge" was a fun surprise. We always have new experiences while staying here and will definitely return.

Discover serendipity

I can't say enough about our experience at the Eagle's Nest. If you're looking for complete simplicity, unobstructed views of the most beautiful scenery in the country and a feeling of pure peace within and out, this place is a perfect fit. You are engulfed in nature. Host was very responsive and enjoyable to work with. Manzanita is such a quaint little town with friendly and accommodating people. We were planning our next trip before leaving this one. HIGHLY recommend.

Wonderful third stay at Eagle's Nest

We always love our time in Neahkahnie at the Eagle's Nest. It's a favorite coastal get-away in a unique and inspiring place. This time we shared it with friends who were also impressed with the architecture, ambience, solitude, and changing sea/sky vistas. It's a treasure!

Nature space!

50th Anniversary

We were there 6 nights. It was a different coastal experience. Our two most favorite vacations are beach and forest camping. We had the best of both. Such beautiful views and peaceful. At first we weren’t sure if we were going to hear the ocean, but yes. And the home was very nice and cozy cabin feeling. Thank you

Amazing views and attention to detail.

It was a rainy weekend but I could have stayed sitting looking at the everchanging ocean forever. Eagles' Nest is a special place, built with mindful attention from the house siting to the colors on the walls to the beautiful wood materials. Perfect for a retreat or an exploration of the area. I look forward to returning.

This place is what you've been looking for!

Eagle's Nest is by far our favorite place we've ever stayed, and we've stayed in some gems. The view from the living room is sky and sea. We loved sleeping in the loft—there's a huge skylight where you can see a magnificent tree towering above you. We got lucky & there were clear skies and a full moon too. Magic! The wood stove is easy to use (they provided perfectly cut wood) & makes the house so cozy. All the kitchen equipment was complete for making multiple meals. They provided so many thoughtful conveniences—reading lights, kleenex, courtesy fan in the bathroom, books, games, pour over coffee. We appreciated the closeness to the beach and Manzanita. Communicating with Fae was a joy—she was helpful and quick to respond. We can't wait to go back. 20/10 recommend.

Anniversary getaway

Best views of the ocean!! Great house for the two of us to celebrate our 20th anniversary. Super cozy and prefect. It did rain for the entire stay, but it just made the house even more cozy. Lots of books to choose from and read while overlooking the beach/ocean.

Unique and relaxing home

This was a wonderful place to stay as it was so different from home. Beautiful views of the ocean from so many of the rooms made it feel like we were on vacation. The presentation in VRBO certainly was not photoshopped. Home is clean and comfortable and has everything you need.

Escape from the midwest

This Vrbo provided us exactly what our souls needed and that went well beyond different landscape. It was a better way of living in a more co-existential life with the world around us and all the powers known and unknown. Every need was accounted for and we left this amazing place better, more inspired people. The space was perfect for our family of 4 with our 2 kids (9 and 10). They found all sorts of interesting things in the place. I wish I was a faster reader, though, as there was a huge volume of inspiring literature.

loved the Eagle's Nest

Wonderful home high above the surf. Central location to Astoria in the north and Tillamook in the south. Manzanita is the cutest town. Went to Wild Apple every day for supplies. Loved sleeping in the loft with the skylight and huge window, like a tree house. Thank you Faye for an unforgettable experience!

The view of the GOD’S!!!!

Absolutely stunning. Every minute spent felt special, from the morning to the night, you can see the beauty of this place, it feels magical. My second favorite part of this place was sleeping with window open and having the ocean put you to sleep, there’s no way that you can have a bad day.

Exactly what we were Hoping for!!

The skylight over the loft bed is what drew our attention to the property. And the rest of Eagle's Nest proved to be the perfect cake for the skylight icing. To be able to watch the tree dance to a star filled backdrop was captivating. On the one rainy night. The sound of the rain falling on the skylight lulled us to sleep for our last night. The location, tucked in amongst the trees. High above the coast line. Made for some spectacular vistas. We were close enough to every location we wanted see. And yet far enough away that we felt we were in our own little paradise. Thank you, to the host and property owner for sharing the story of Eagle's Nest. The energy of the nest brought us the serenity we hope to enjoy on our adventure. I am sure we will make an attempt to return.

An eventful week

The Eagle's Nest is indeed a " treasure" and a "retreat to refresh your soul". We were mesmerized watching the ever-changing Pacific Ocean and awed by the craftsmanship of the home. We were lucky to encounter a rare coastal snow event while there and enjoyed the cozy, peaceful environment. The host is very caring and helpful. We will be back often.

Eagles, elk, deer, hummingbirds and other life are more present than people. Ocean, sun, trees, two miles of quiet beach, numerous nearby coastal state parks give opportunity to open our hearts to deeper and broader vision.
