Blessed with magnificent natural beauty and located in the one most popular and desirable locations in the Western United States, Lake Tahoe is considered the jewel of California. At 6,229 feet above sea level, Lake Tahoe is the highest lake of its size in the United States, measuring 22 miles long by 12 miles wide, with an average depth of 989 feet and 72 miles of shoreline. Its clear blue waters surrounded by the towering Sierras are a sight to behold! Lake Tahoe is truly a treasure, hopefully to be visited by all at some point!
Nestled in the heart of the Sierra Nevada Mountains, Lake Tahoe is home to some of America’s favorite vacation and recreation locations. Enjoy world-famous beaches, hiking, biking trails, watersports, skiing, dining, shopping, and more! With so many activities to choose from, there is something to keep everyone in your group entertained! At Tahoe Luxury Properties we have a full time concierge on staff to recommend fun things to do with your days and to arrange special ventures (from dinner reservations to personal helicopter rides). Whatever you desire, we are here to assist you!
We booked our family reunion with our dad, sisters, brother and our kids and had a total ball. The house had everything we could have wanted. The view is simply breathtaking! There were 12 of us and plenty of bathrooms, fully stocked with towels and beach towels. We ate every meal in, and cooked the whole week. We even baked cookies. The kitchen was stocked with all the utensils, glasses, bowls, pots, pans etc , with everything you'd find in your own home. The house sits on top of a hill directly above MEEKS Bay beach. At night, we all stood outside and were in awe looking up at the stars. Location was perfect. There were games to play, movies to watch, cards, ping pong and we did it all. I would recommend bringing speakers (we brought our Bose) to play music...which we did almost the whole week. We made wonderful memories! We have been home for two weeks already and today dad said "I keep picturing us all still in that house". I would highly recommend renting this home with family and friends. We didn't want to leave!
We thoroughly enjoyed braving the biggest winter storm in ten years in this home. All the creature comforts were there, including a well-supplied kitchen (for chefs out there), an instant generator for when the power went out, a relaxing hot tub under a covered deck for storm-watching, and a fun space to keep the kids occupied with ping pong and other games.
As with all homes, this one had its flaws, all of which are normal things needing repair: the master fireplace was not working and the canned ceiling lighting leaked all over the kids' bathroom and bunk-beds on our last night there--not the best way to wake up or have to sleep. The hot tub had some ball bearings in the bottom and missing jet caps which can also be easily repaired and fortunately didn't impact the tub's functionality. The wifi was incredibly slow, but I blame that more on the storm than anything; it would be interesting to hear how it works mid-summer.
That being said, make no mistakes: this is a fantastic home with many luxuries--jet tubs, multi-headed showers, a poker table, two full-sized refrigerators, and more--and the views were awe-inspiring and photo-worthy every day, whether it was storming fiercely, sunny with blue skies, or an alpine-glow sunset reflecting pink hues on the clouds and lake.
We had a great stay at this wonderful cabin; it has beautiful views with everything you need. The only issue we had was the heater and the fireplace wasn't working in the master bedroom which made it extremely cold and hence why I gave it a 4 stars; otherwise everything was excellent.
Wow, wow, wow!! Just came back from a wonderful stay at what I can best describe as a luxury cabin - feels like you're staying in the woods among nature, yet everything is top-notch luxury...amazing view of lake, it was so nice waking up each morning to that beautiful view through the extra large windows... well stocked home with very high quality everything, including: towels, hand soap, toilet tissue, mattresses, home finishes, furniture, kitchen, etc. all high-end brands... We were a group of 10, but never ran out of towels, toilet paper, paper towels, mugs, plates, utensils, etc.
We loved the layout, 2 stories was perfect, only 1 set of stairs, dressers in each room, location is private (no neighbors close by), and less than a minute drive down the hill to the lake, etc...Indoor ping pong table was great... Home was very clean, instructions provided for operating everything... and just felt like the owners took care of the home well.
The location on the west shore was great as well, we were able to explore both north and south parts of lake Tahoe easily...
Matt from prop. mngt company Tahoe Luxury Prop. was great to deal with, answered (many) questions quickly and willingly, and mngt company was overall great, early check in, late check out, and all other requests were handled swiftly and professionally.
Would definitely rent this place again. Thank you for sharing your home!!
