Vår lakefront Mountain Home är den perfekta familjen destination eller för en weekend getaway med vänner. Idealiskt beläget på nästan två tunnland svagt sluttande mark på Azure Lake Glenville (Thrope) nära skidorten byarna Kassapersonal och Highlands. Omgiven av Smoky Mountains, slingrar Lake Glenville är 26 mil strandlinjen förbi julgran gårdar, betesmarker, skogar, vattenfall och en golfbana i världsklass. Varma dagar och svala nätter nästan säker på denna höga höjd fjällsjön.

Den Lakehouse är 200 + fot strandlinje, ger gott om utrymme för att njuta av bad, användning av vår egen båt brygga (utrustad med kanot, segelbåt och kajaker) eller koppla av på solterrassen med utsikt över sjön.

Användningen av inhemska material och lokalt hantverk hela 4700 kvm. Ft. Lakehouse gör att det känns som en lyxig mountain lodge. Funktioner inkluderar en spektakulär utsikt över sjön, wrap-around verandor med gungstolar och utegrill, generösa sittande och matplats, tyst läsning skrymslen, massiv sten eldstäder, antika hjärt furu golv och en stigande, strålade tak i stora salongen. Inredning är en bekväm blandning av antikviteter, rustika och överfylld bitar. We’ve stayed before and had a wonderful time then. Even better the second time with the updates made to the home. We had a Wi-Fi outage from Wednesday until we left Saturday, but that turned out to be a blessing in disguise. Coffee on the porch, swimming and other fun stuff on the lake, fire down by the water in the evening, star gazing, everything we wanted and more. Well equipped with everything we needed. Great vacation. I wish we could just live here!

Excellent comms by host. Lovely home! Great location. Very well kept. Very clean. Access to canoes and kayaks was nice. Access to towns and college nearby. The lake is beautiful. A bear ran through the yard while we were out on the dock—cool experience! The cleaning people did show up a little before our checkout and we felt a little pressured. Still, a full 5 stars. We would stay there again!

Wonderful Experience

We stayed at this property with 4 small kids and 4 adults for nearly a week and had a wonderful trip. The home is charming, the lake is beautiful, and the experience was all-around a great one. I would rent this house again in a heartbeat!

Wonderful Vacation at KatieCamp

Wonderful Family Lakehouse

Home was clean, comfortable and exactly as shown in photos. Our family thoroughly enjoyed the home and area for our Thanksgiving gathering. Views of the lake are spectacular even in late Fall. Would highly recommend and visit again!! Thank you for opening your home away from home!!

Family getaway

Despite the unseasonably cold weather we had a great time. Plenty of firewood to make campfires and stay warm. Fishing poles were great as well as the kayaks and canoes. We played games and watch soccer so everyone was happy!

Great time at Katie Camp!

Was fabulous! Lake house is awesome, great kitchen space, also very well stocked- beautiful water views, fun yard for kids to run around. Rented a boat from signal ridge which was also very easy. Already planning our next trip! Owner so helpful and communicative. Comfortably slept 3 adults couples, one grandpa and 3 kids under 3!

Comfortable and relaxing; fully equiped kitchen; plenty of lake recreation activities!

A wonderful retreat for our family! Campfires under the stars; meals around the table and comfortable sleeping. Would have liked stronger internet; enjoyed the peacefulness and quiet. 20 minutes into Cashiers. Fabulous time by all!

A Wonderful Spot for a Family Getaway

Katie Camp is a very comfortable and family friendly home away from home. We had great meals around the large dining table. We enjoyed the easy access to the lake and using the canoe and kayaks to explore the lakeshore. The view each morning of the mist rising off the water and revealing the mountains in the distance made a beautiful start to each day. The proximity to numerous hiking trails in the Lake Glenville area can't be beat. In short, a perfect spot for our family to spend a wonderful week.

Perfect Lake Getaway

From the moment we stepped into this absolutely beautiful lake house we felt at home. Enough room to fit our family more than comfortably. Fun nights spent around the large family dining room table playing games and laughing. Relaxing on the porch with a hot cup of coffee watching the sun rise in the morning. Our week spent here could not have been more perfect.

Family gathering for our 50th Anniversary

The home was perfect for our group. Our 2 sons, their wives and 2 children each. Five bedrooms, 5 king sized beds. Everyone had their space and privacy and comfort. The kitchen was better equipped than our kitchen at home. The lake frontage was perfect. Our rented pontoon boat fit perfectly. The fire pit lake side was great. The home is only a few windy miles from Cashiers and Highlands. This vacation will create lifelong memories for us and our family. Thank you for sharing this special place.

I am a former educator and presently a practicing massage therapist.Originally from Philadelphia, Ihave resided in Amelia Island, FL for over 34 years. We have a foundation that is in honor of our daughter Kate who was an organ donor. Our foundation, the Katie Caples Foundation promotes and supports an educational program that goes into the high schools in Northeast Florida from the Atlantic to the Gulf of Mexico bringing the message of signing up to be a donor.
Our family likes to travel and explore, snow ski and enjoy eachothers company. Our favorite pastime together is playing cards. I am an avid reader and enjoy mystery books, books on spirituality, biographies and history. Since we have been in the hospitality industry for 35 years and property management we work to maintain our home to be comfortable and inviting for our guests. We want your experience to be fun, memorable and relaxing.
