About Marie and Jay Holland

Jay and I have been visiting the area for years, thanks to an Aunt who discovered the beautiful southwest coast of Florida many years ago. We love the privacy and flexibility the house affords us that we can extend to our guests.

Marie and Jay Holland purchased this house in 2012

Why Marie and Jay Holland chose Englewood

The house offers direct beach access with a private deeded beach right on the Gulf. It is newer construction and high enough to see far and wide. We hope you love it as much as we do!

What makes this house unique

Private deeded beach for the exclusive use of our guests. A perfect place for small or large families and reunions. Check out Side B, VRBO 427446

Amazing beach front home!

  • 5 of 5

We pick a new spot each year on the gulf and rent a home. We have stayed in locations from Indian Rocks to the Keys and everywhere in between. This is by far the best home we have stayed in. The spacious layout and proximity to the beach is amazing in this home. We couldn't believe how roomy it was. Having the beach right there off your back porch made for the most wonderful mornings with coffee in hand and a glass of wine in the evening to watch the amazing sunsets. The pictures are very accurate for this property. I wish I could post some of the sunsets we experienced. The dolphins were there almost every morning. Never had an issue with hot water or lack of linens that can sometimes be an issue with rentals. We cooked on the grill several nights so that was a major bonus to have available. There is a cute gift shop down the road that we had fun in and had an excellent dinner at Farlows. Also rented kayaks and went down to the tip of Stump pass (which is easily walkable from this property). It is away from all the hustle and bustle of the more popular islands like Siesta Key and Anna Maria; this made for a much more relaxing experience. We didn't have to wait for tables or fight traffic. If you want a place to stay that is family oriented and quiet, this is for you. No high rises or party kids here! All needs are conveniently a few miles away on the main land. Do yourself a favor and book this amazing house.

Great place for a relaxing and beautiful vacation

  • 5 of 5

This was the best vacation we have enjoyed in years! And we have had a lot of excellent vacations. The weather was perfect, the sunsets were spectacular, and we reall enjoyed the relaxed pace on beaches that were never crowded. We love the house and the different views at the different levels. We both agreed that your place is the best place on the beach! We hope to continue to rent it for years to come, if you will have us!

Thanks so much for creating such a beautiful place to relax.

Even better than we expected!

  • 5 of 5

The house was very clean, comfortable and spacious with an amazing view. It is so close to the water and is convenient with kids going in and out of the house. If you collect shells or sharks teeth this is the house for you. You can scoop up shells by the bucketful. We appreciated the paper towels, toilet paper, toiletries, linens, bowl of goodies on the table and so many other extras that are not provided in other houses we've rented. The beds were very comfortable and the view from the master bedroom was breathtaking! I have dozens of photos to prove it! Parking is easy and the neighborhood is quiet. It's close to Don Pedro Island which is a must see. The 3 full baths were so nice to have with 4 adults and 3 children.

A little piece of paradise

  • 5 of 5

We have been to this property numerous times, and it never disappoints! The view is spectacular, especially when taking advantage of the hurricane doors that open up the entire back of the house. Our favorite time of the day is in the morning just after we woke up. We'd sit on one of the two decks to take in the morning sun, the salty air, the crash of the waves, and most days the frolicking of dolphins not too far from shore. The ocean is truly your backyard here. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook for the week, and we loved grilling out a few days as well. The space is large and comfortable, and it's decorated to feel like a home away from home. The management team was more than accommodating with the couple requests we had, such as refilling the propane gas tank for the grill. We hope to come back year after year, carrying on the tradition with our children in the future. We believe this this property is truly a treasure and would highly recommend it to anyone!

Beautiful experience!

  • 5 of 5

I rented this house with 3 grandchildren and their parents. Plenty of room, very updated and the view is beautiful. Sunsets were different every night! The kids loved it and the adults could watch the kids from the big porch. Plenty of shade provided by the porch which was needed. I would go back in a heartbeat!
