Cute, good area

  • 4 of 5

It's tough to maintain a place when there has been this much snow. Access was a bit tough due to the snow. The hot tub is especially tough to get to. Breaker circuit was tripped when we got here. But, Aaron was very responsive to our challenges.

Presidents week stay

  • 1 of 5

I brought my son and his friend for two days to snowboard Homewood. Although it was a heavy snow year I would have expected better access. The front door was completely snowed in and the side access was extremely difficult to access. The hot tub was not accessible from the back door, or the back yard, completely snowed in. We could not get the Wifi to work, we unplugged and rebooted the unit as was suggested in the welcome package......no cell service at all. We are expected to put garbage in the bear proof container, once we took an hour of our morning digging it out, it was so full there was no room for our garbage. I was able to chase the garbage truck down and have him come to the house so I could dump the garbage.

I am not the complaining type "USUALLY". I think more involvement by the owner to at least insure adequate access to the property is not unreasonable. Digging the vehicle out in the morning and some slight clearing to the house approach is expected, what we had to do was WORK on our vacation. These days working Wifi is a must, especially when there is no cell service at all, I would suggest upgrading your equipment.

I sure wanted to give a good report but the access was borderline dangerous and Wifi is a must in this area.

Owner's Response: Yes, we are truly sorry about the timing of your stay. As I mentioned before you arrived the Cable/Internet was down, nothing to do with equipment, the physical lines were knocked down in the neighborhood for the second time this year, in the Feb storms. Yes there certainly was a plethora of snow making it difficult to get around. We do have snow removal system and people in place, but with Sooooo much snow and back to back storms pounding us the week you were there, and solid bookings of the cabin it did make it very hard to keep up. Especially as I see your stay was only 2 days, and it snowed the entire time! Both the snow removal, and the Cable issues were solved shortly after you left. Again, we are sorry about the timing, mother nature has been overly plentiful to us this year making thing a bit of a challenge. Hope you try us again, as you can see by all the 5 star reviews even on both sides of your stay, guests Love our Cozy Cabin. Thx for the input Darrin.
