Excellent vacation rental

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I recently stayed in this condo the month of August.

It is centrally located so that you can walk to the Gaslamp area or a short drive to Balboa

Or any of the nearby sights or great resturants.

It has a kitchen that you will using and then sitting on the deck with a view of the Harbor.

Other reviews mentioned noise. It is city noise that after a couple of days it is a non issue.

Michael is very responsive to any of your needs.

Best condo in little Italy

  • 5 of 5

This condo was the find of the century! The location is great the views are spectacular. We have been using VRBO for years now and in some cases the pictures online make the places look nicer than they actually are however in this condo's case it was actually the opposite the luxury and amenities exceeded our expectations. We were here the busy month of July in San Diego and owners attentiveness to our needs over a busy holiday weekend was impressive and appreciated. I have recommended this condo to friends and family and with any luck we will stay here again next year!!

Fantastic location; spacious and comfortable

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I spent the month of January, 2015 here. The apartment is an amazing combination of convenience, comfort, and fun. Others have noted the proximity to the wonderful restaurants, markets, etc. of Little Italy. It is also just a short walk to the lovely new park that now surrounds the county civic center. From there you can move on to stroll along the freshly-renovated waterfront. Altogether it's about one mile to the well-known Fish Market waterfront restaurant, with plenty of inviting benches along the way. It's just a little farther to Seaport Village. The apartment itself is spacious, comfortable, and stylishly-furhished. During part of our stay we were joined by our son and his wife. We found the apartment well-designed to accomodate two adult couples. The wall bed was comfortable and not difficult to raise and lower. The juke box plays CD's with a wide selection of songs. There is enough space around the pool table to actually play pool. The apartment faces north, so the balconies get no winter sun. But the roof-top common area, with sweeping views of the harbor and the airport, is available for sunning. We usually had it all to ourselves.

I left a review after my stay in 2013 and just wanted to add that we were so pleased that we came back in 2014 for another week. No greater compliment than to be a repeat customer!!

Great place in a great location

  • 4 of 5

We were very pleased with the condo and the location. The property was clean and well-maintained. Mike was very responsive to our questions. It is a great location and within walking distances of wonderful restaurants and the harbor area. Everything was as advertised and we had a good time in San Diego. We will be back.

Wonderful Condo

  • 5 of 5

We loved our 9 night stay at this spacious and inviting apartment. The location is amazing. It’s one block from the main street of Little Italy so you are within walking distance of dozens of fine restaurants, small cafes, and neighborhood hangouts. The trolley stop is nearby. And there’s easy access to highways if you want to travel further afield. On Saturdays the farmer's market is just outside the door. There is a view of the bay from both balconies. It was a perfect spot to watch the sailboats and sunset at the end of the day.

The apartment is just the right mix of comfort and whimsy. It has all the amenities you could want including a very comfy bed, two full baths, walk-in closet, a pool table, and a fabulous jukebox with a great selection of music. Free wifi is another bonus. There are 2 parking spots in a garage below the building - a big plus at the end of a day of sightseeing.

The reviews that mentioned noise issues caused me some concern so I checked with Mike, the owner, before renting. He was really helpful, reachable, responsive and just very pleasant to deal with. He answered my questions in detail and assured me that noise was not an issue. He was right. You can see planes approaching the airport over buildings about half a mile to the north, but there was no noise problem and the planes were fun to spot. We did hear the occasional train rumbling through. No horns though, so it didn’t disturb us. Overall, the unit was quiet with just the usual city noise one would expect. And the proximity to the airport (about 2 miles away) was really convenient when it was time to fly home.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning.
