This truly lovely house sits on the edge of a bluff and has a wall of windows and awe inspiring views over Cape Cod Bay from Provincetown to the South Shore of Massachusetts. With our over 180 degree view, we boast one of the best spots for viewing fireworks up and down the coast, watching the waves roll in or experiencing a summertime lightening storm! The house is situated on semi-private beachfront with miles of untrammeled beach in either direction, with national park land nearby. This special house is in a quiet neighborhood, has huge deck, plenty of parking, and is casual and comfortable. The houses in the neighborhood share access to a tennis court. We have central air, wifi and two TVs (one big flat screen). The "compound" consists of two separate buildings. The main house has a central living area that has sofas, chairs, a TV and dining table. The master bedroom with a queen bed, a private bath/shower and a view of the Bay. Down the hall, another room has a bay window. There is also one largish room with two twin beds and a small single room - these three rooms share a bathroom with a shower. The kitchen has all the basic amenities. In the second building (the "Annex", which is only steps away from the main house), there is an office with a desk and printer, a washer/dryer, as well as a bedroom with a queen bed and bath. The lower Annex has a separate entrance, and includes a large suite with a queen sized bed, a sitting area with a flat screen TV. The other room in the lower Annex has a ping pong table. We can provide linens and towels, not to mention the ping pong table, a self playing piano, two kayaks ("yaks") and boogie boards. This is a family home, comfortable and homey. We hope you enjoy it!

We are a family who have summered on the Cape for decades. We love the Cape and adore our little slice of it. We are nature lovers, enjoy swimming, beaching, all the Cape joys!
D Brach purchased this House in 1998
Why D Brach chose Truro
We knew the moment we saw it. You will too. Amazing views of bay and surrounding dunes and hills. Plenty of space and privacy. We love the relaxed mid century, beach cottage feel.

Best beach on the cape with a lovely home to match
I reserved a week at the Brachs home for a cousins family reunion and it couldn't have been more perfect. First off, the sisters that handle the rental are wonderful to deal with. You feel a true sense of warmth and caring that extends to the home itself. It feels like a place that knows joy and treasured memories, the perfect place to reconnect with family and friends.
The beach is spectacular. My wife and I have rented many homes on the bay side from Eastham to Truro and this was hands down the best. It had a significant beach even at high tide which is not always the case and a reasonably easy path down to the beach where the Brachs leave two kayaks for their guests enjoyment. There are very few homes in the area so you have the beach virtually to yourselves. We saw seals swim by several times and on the last day 14 loons swam close to the beach. I discovered a pair of fine binoculars in the master bedroom closet ( the father was apparently an avid birder) and was able to get an even better look.
The sunsets from the deck are spectacular. The tennis court that is shared with a few homes is in pretty good shape and is situated in a little valley that protects it from the ocean breeze.
There's great cycling right outside your door. Wellfleet center is just 10 minutes away by car where you can pick up fresh fish, fresh vegetables and anything else you need. And there are restaurants galore within easy driving distance.
It should be mentioned that while the main house is air conditioned, the annex is not. We were there for a pretty warm week and the guests that stayed in the annex said it was fine.
All in all, the best home we've stayed at in our many vacations on the cape. Bravo!
Spectacular Truro Vacation
This is a truly terrific place to enjoy the Cape! The house is located on a dune with panorama views of the bay and Provincetown. Magnificent all day, and sunset and the night sky absolutely beautiful. The deck is large and there’s a table and chairs and umbrella to eat and read in the shade and sun. The house has two kayaks available and access to a tennis court – so great for active guests. The front of house has pretty gardens and there’s an easy path right to the private, quiet bay beach.
The owners are extremely nice, accessible and accommodating. Screen door fixed in a flash,. Arrival welcoming gift .
We've been all over Truro for over 30 years and never had such a glorious view and deck to enjoy and such fun with the easy access to the beach, the kayaks and tennis. There's an annex with a lovely suite of two rooms upstairs that provides privacy for multi-generational families also.
We are going back this summer!
FABULOUS Family Vacation Spot
What a perfect place for a family vacation - aperfect place for two of our sons, their wives and children to spend time together. The location is perfect. We had stayed in Wellfleet before but we so preferred this house in Truro. With a new infant in our group, I was looking for a spot close to the water where I could yell down to those on the beach and let them know when the baby was up from his nap. I also was looking for a location with a good beach easily accessible. We found all of this and more. The huge deck overlooking the water is a perfect spot. The views from the deck are breathtaking day and night. Counting shooting stars was a fun pastime for the 4 year old. The beach is right in front of the house and about a 2 minute walk from the house perched on the hill. We felt as if it was our own personal beach - so great.
The main house was the center of activity - meals, charades, board games and more. The annex was a great location for one of the families with children.
Located between Provincetown and Wellfleet there were opportunities to explore both. We brought bikes and there were excursions to Ptown, ocean beaches and ponds. Everyone in our group agreed that this was our favorite family vacation spot and we will definitely be back.
How much fun!
A multi generational home run. Something for everyone and space enough for all to enjoy family and privacy. We hosted a revolving door of our children and our siblings. The youngest was celebrating his first birthday and the oldest among us had celebrated more than 80. The secret to this home is there is room for everyone. In 30 years of renting in many town on the Cape this was our first venture out as far as Truro. We should have been here years ago. Mid way between Orleans and P Town it was the perfect place to satisfy everyone. The house is clearly a family home, not designed to impress but rather to allow you to relax. We all felt like we were guests at a friends summer home. There is plenty of beach at high tide and safe bay side water for kids. I found the sisters who own this property quick to respond to all our pre rental questions. What they said is what we got. Heads Up if you need mail or FedEx,UPS while here...that's not going to happen. Your only option is general delivery to the Truro post office. Don't ship to the house address as Truro PO doesn't know the house and will forward your essential papers to N Truro. Very pleased with our two weeks of Cape Cod sunsets.
