2br Mountain Home With Private Deck Overlooking Woods
We tapped into our German heritage a bit as the inspiration for this vacation haus. Prost means the same thing as “cheers” or “salut!” You will be surrounded by some of the best breweries in the world. This is the perfect place to make a toast with craft beer, mead, cider or wine.
We hope that you also enjoy some calorie burning hikes and bike rides, and find plenty of reasons to raise a glass and say “Prost!” with your friends.
Our house is located off of a secluded drive in Pisgah Forest. The deck overlooks beautiful trees, including some gorgeous hemlocks which are becoming few and far between in the Carolinas. You will spend most of the time on the back deck looking at some incredible trees and a distant mountain skyline.
The main bathroom is located off the master bedroom, and the half bathroom is located off the second bedroom. There is a detached third room located off the garage with a futon for extra sleeping room but does not have it's own bathroom. This room also has strong wifi and could be used as an office space.
We have a great coffee maker (Bonavita) and a coffee grinder. There is a coffee roasting company in Brevard and Oskar Blues also has some great coffee beans for sale in their brewery store.
10 minutes outside downtown Brevard, Pisgah National Forest and DuPont.

About Andy Sauder
I'm a graphic designer by trade but have many led me to Pisgah for enjoying my vacation time. I enjoy craft beer, mountain biking, road biking, coffee roasting, art, this area is a great place to enjoy it all.
Andy Sauder purchased this House in 2016
Why Andy Sauder chose Pisgah Forest
We loved that this house was close to amazing trails & breweries, but is also in a secluded neighborhood that allows for some privacy. It's not in a typical, crowded suburban neighborhood, but is also not so secluded that it takes a long time to get to town. It's only 10 minutes from Brevard, Pisgah, DuPont and Hendersonville, and only 40 minutes from Asheville. We love visiting Asheville for a day, but like getting away from the busy traffic and into the woods and waterfalls for most of a trip.
What makes this House unique
The 2BR home has wifi throughout, a great deck in the backyard overlooking tall trees with no neighbors in sight. There are two garage stalls for housing your car and/or biking and camping gear. A bonus room sits off the back of the garage (a few steps off the deck) with an additional futon bed for additional sleeping.

Cute house in great location but needs to be cleaned
This is a cute little house that looks like it has had some updates in recent years. The fireplace was lovely and much appreciated on the cold winter nights. Perfect location for visiting both Dupont and Pisgah National Forests and many other nearby destinations. Just a short drive to Asheville as well. The negative about this property is the state of cleanliness. It could use a DEEP cleaning and looks as though it hasn't been properly cleaned since the updates were made. It reminded me of a frat house in college, great bones but not cared for. I suppose this is fine if you are a college student or young adult wanting to get away to a party house for a few days but as a family with 2 children, it left something to be desired. I've never seen my kids' socks so dirty!! The silverware in the drawer looked as if someone unloaded the dishwasher by just throwing a handful of silverware into the drawer, not caring about placing them in the appropriate places in the holder in the drawer. The table tops needed to be wiped down as I could see water marks and spills from the previous guests and there were dishes left in the dishwasher. The dishwasher did look like it had been run but, unfortunately, someone ran it with pasta on the dishes so there were bits of food stuck to all the coffee cups and dried noodles in the bottom of the dishwasher. Due to the state of the kitchen, I decided to wash all the towels that were haphazardly placed in the closet to be sure they were clean prior to our use. There were also cobwebs throughout in all the upper corners of the walls and bags of stinky trash in the garage that I had to contact the owner to have removed because we planned on using the garage and didn't want to smell someone else's trash for 5 nights. It was very disappointing because the pictures online look so great! I'd really give this place a 1 based on cleanliness and a 5 on location so I''m averaging it out to a 3. This property has great potential and I hope the owners take heed and hire someone to do a thorough cleaning; it could be such a gem!!
Cute, clean and convienetly located!
The place was exactly as advertised, just wished the table was a little larger and had a few more chairs as we had 7 adults and had to sit on stools and utilize the kitchen table. We knew this going in, so we were fine with it, but it is an area that could be improved that would accommodate this type of gathering for holiday vacationers, otherwise for a group of 5 or less on a weekend, the place would be great, would definitely stay again.
Quiet, private, updated, practical! Had everything we needed!
Tucked away in the forest, this easy access off the main highway home had everything we needed. The use of the garage was perfect for storing our bikes. Such a perfect location to get to dupont state forest and pisgah national forest. so many places to eat close by with brevard and etowah. Very clean and updated throughout. Not a single complaint from myself or my wife.
Lots of waterfalls, including Looking Glass and Sliding Rock!
