The Lake Tahoe area bustles with fun activities in every season, and this 2BR, 2BA West Shore cabin (sleeps 6) keeps you close to it all. Nearby Meeks Bay Beach, Homewood Mountain Resort, and Ed Z'berg Sugar Pine Point.
INSIDE THE CABIN
Surrounded by tall pines, this Lake Tahoe cabin immerses you in peace and quiet. The rustic property welcomes you with a quaint wood front deck as you pull up the drive. The paved driveway has room for 2 cars, with a spot for 1 more in the garage.
Enter through the glass front door into the cozy main living area, boasting wood floors and an open floor plan.
Spend cold nights cuddled up with a cup of hot chocolate in front of the wood burning stone fireplace. Pop in a movie to watch on the 55” flatscreen TV over the fireplace, and claim your spot on the leather couch or cushy armchair.
To the right of the front door, the practical and open kitchen allows the cook to be part of the action. It offers a gas oven, fridge, microwave and dishwasher, and a butcher block island for extra prep space. Brew a cup of coffee on the Keurig coffeemaker.
The 6-person dining table offers a lovely place for home-cooked meals next to a large picture window with views of the front yard.
The large 2nd bedroom comes with a queen-size bed, writing desk, closet, and back door out to the deck and hot tub. Tuck the kids into the 3rd bedroom, found in the loft area above the 2nd bedroom. They’ll love climbing the ladder to reach their own secret hideout, equipped with 2 full-size beds.
Behind the kitchen sits a full bath with a shower and tub combination. Climb the stairs to the other loft—there the master bedroom invites you to sleep like a baby in a California king bed. It also has a gas fireplace, bunk bed set for small children, and door down to the backyard. Getting ready is easy in the en suite bathroom with single vanity and stand-up walk-in shower.
A 2nd living area in the loft is the perfect spot for kids to play with a couch, 42” flatscreen TV and Wii, kids’ table, and lots of board games.
The backyard has plenty of room to romp and play or relax and unwind. Pull up a Adirondack chair around the fire pit and roast marshmallows. Keep dinner simple with both a charcoal and gas grill and dine al fresco at the picnic table, or order in and soak those sore ski muscles in the bubbling hot tub.
All leases require a minimum 31 day term.
Pristine and family-friendly, Meeks Bay Beach (7 minutes) offers swimming and boating as well as camping and hiking in the lush green forest surrounding it. In the day, ride the bike path into Tahoe City.
When the snow starts falling, strap on your skis or snowboard and head to Homewood Mountain Resort (6 minutes) with runs for all skill levels. Even better, most of the runs provide sweeping lake views to enjoy as you’re tearing up the powder.
If flat is more your style, Ed Z'berg Sugar Pine Point State Park (5 minutes) has excellent cross-country skiing trails. In the summer, the park also has a nature center, fishing and hiking.
You’ll also find entertainment and several local restaurants nearby. Walk 4 minutes to West Shore Pizza, head 9 minutes and grab fresh deli sandwiches at The PDQ market or enjoy an extra special dining experience at West Shore Cafe.
