This was the perfect place as we were looking to enjoy both Napa Valley and Sonoma. The property was clean, beautiful and very well located. We took advantage of the owners offer to utilize the herb & vegetable garden on a couple of our evenings in and the kitchen was well equipped. There were 4 of us(2 couples), and the house was set up well and spacious enough for all.

Perfect getaway
We stayed at the Carneros Barn House for our annual trip to wine country. It was a perfect location between Napa and Sonoma. The house was beautiful and had everything we could need, from the gorgeous kitchen to the fire pit on the patio. The keyless entry is also genius. Everything was easy. What a wonderful place to stay!

Beautiful property inside and out - surrounded by vineyards and with Alpacas and Goats just next door to visit! Quick drive to either Napa Valley or Sonoma, beautiful kitchen and a great room with fireplace to hang out with your friends/family. Would highly recommend to others. Thanks Tom and Krissy.

Amazing, Relaxing, Perfect home
We were two couples celebrating birthdays in Napa and recently stayed at the Carneros Barn House. It was the perfect getaway from it all. We enjoyed walking around the neighborhood and sitting by the fire pit at night with a glass of wine. The Barn House was in between Napa and Sonoma on a quiet road away from the crowds. It had everything we needed for a great stay! Thank you so much, we enjoyed it immensely.

Great value, exceptional amenities, ideal location
We were thrilled with the Carneros Farm House for our long weekend visit to Napa and Sonoma. If you're a fan of pinot noir and chardonnay, this is the place to stay, with wonderful wineries close by including Bouchaine and Saintsbury. The house has very modern amenities, such as an exceptional kitchen if you're into preparing your own gourmet meals (we prefer to visit Napa restaurants). If I were a writer or artist, this is where I'd want to stay for a month for focus and inspiration. Everything worked, booking was easy...highly recommend.

Darling home in the heart of wine country.
The Carneros Barn House was a absolutely charming and comfortable. We didn't spend a lot of time at the house itself but the time we did spend was relaxing on the porch or by the fire pit watching the stars. The house was in very well maintained with a gourmet kitchen. It's very close to both the southern ends of Napa and Sonoma. We would definitely consider staying here again upon our next visit. Both the property manager and owner were very responsive and helpful.

Beautiful home, well appointed and fantastic location!
We stayed at the Carneros Farm House at the end of February and had an incredible time. We've previously stayed at the Carneros Inn, but having traveled with another couple, this spot was incredibly similar to the look/feel of the Carneros Inn but at half the price. The kitchen was beautiful with an incredible sun room with magnificent views. The bikes were a great extra as we were able to ride into Sonoma to shop and eat. The owners clearly take great pride in this home as it is spotless and has incredibly detailed instructions about everything within the home. There's no doubt we'd come back and book this place on our next trip.

Lovely home
House is lovely and only a few minutes from downtown Sonoma and easy to get to Napa with either a car or a driver (we used both). It is in a rural area, though this makes for a nice bike ride past several nearby vineyards and at the area is very scenic. We stayed here for a long weekend Ladies trip, and had enough space for 5. Beds and furniture were comfortable, and kitchen was fully stocked with utensils and dishes. Only issue was the upstairs shower water pressure is low, though the property uses a well. Downstairs shower was fine. We would definitely stay here again!

Response from VrboOwner on 29 Mar, 2020
Thanks for your wonderful review and feedback! The upstairs shower water pressure was simply due to the design of the shower head (nothing to do with being on a well), which we've changed. We're glad you enjoyed your stay and look forward to your return!

Cozy Place to Stay
We spent the weekend at this home with our grown children who have never been to Napa, Sonoma, or San Fran. We enjoyed our time cooking, sightseeing, and drinking wine. Easy to get to every place we needed to go. Tom sent us a 26 page guide for the house and place to go and visit. We enjoyed a brief time in front of the fire pit watching a football game on Sunday while our kids went shopping in Sonoma. The weather was ideal for our stay. Nice place to stay and Tom was very accommodating, and answered any questions we had before and during our stay. Read the guide sent to you so you will be well informed and ready for a fun trip.

Cute place in great location
Our family very much enjoyed our stay at the Carneros Barn House (even though it rained most of our stay, part of an historic weather system that happened to coincide with our visit). It's an incredibly cute place, meticulously clean, and in a wonderful location in between Sonoma and Napa (making access to either easy), and also with good access to the rest of the Bay Area. Fremont Diner -- a great place for a meal -- is also walkable (or would have been with better weather). We also really enjoyed the sounds of the countryside in the evening and throughout the day (although do be aware that the master bed/bath is directly above the second bedroom).
The owners were very responsive and easy to work with. All of which made for a great stay in a really nice place. We hope to be back sometime!

Awesome country barn with all the ammenities
We stayed with a family of 6 for my son's 21st Birthday and had such an amazing time. The home made it all that much more memorable as we were able to sit and relax in the peaceful setting and share our time together. The entire home is awesome and gave us great ideas for even our own home. The kitchen and breakfast area started our day off each day with the beautiful sunrise and cool breeze through the windows. The big dining table allowed us to gather and share dinner, drinks and conversation.
Location is in between Sonoma (10 min away) and Napa (20 min away). We visited both plus made our way to Castello di Amoroso (castle winery- 30 min away) and lunch in St. Helena. We will definitely visit again and stay at the Carneros Barn House again- hopefully it is available. Thanks again- we made great memories.

What an amazing experience!
Carneros Barn House is everything the owners describe and so much more! Tom and Krissy think of every detail in this newly-renovated barn - from the chef's dream kitchen to the outdoor firepit and bikes for the family. We enjoyed morning coffee in the great room, family dinners at the huge oak table and great moments around the firepit. We did a Platypus winery tour, recommended by Tom and Krissy, a visit to Castello di Amorosa and birthday celebration for both myself and my daughters at Bottega in Yountville. Also loved cocktails and lunch at The Girl and the Fig. Was blown away by the strength of the community after the devastation of the fires. We were worried about the house and owners before we arrived, but Tom and Krissy were so responsive in keeping us updated so we didn't have to change our plans. And we are so grateful we didn't! This house made us feel at home in the valley, so much so that we plan to make our stay a regular one! Thank you both again for your hospitality!

Gorgeous Home in the Sonoma Vineyards
We LOVED the house! It's just beautiful! Everything was so well laid-out and in such a beautiful setting. I really had no idea until we got there how gorgeous the views would be from each side of the house. Such an incredible setting!
The house was clean and spotless, the beds were so comfortable, and it seemed like you had thought to include every possible amenity. A tea kettle was there for our friend who only drinks tea, nice quality sharp knives for cooking, a hair dryer in the drawer in the master bedroom. We particularly loved the little USB adapters on either side of the bed, so convenient for charging our devices. The kitchen is gorgeous, with high-end appliances and the most lovely sunroom. It was a great place for coffee in the morning, as we watched the sun come up over the vineyards.
Thank you again for everything! In 25 years of renting vacation homes, this is one of the very best we've had. We really appreciate your thoughtfulness and hospitality.

Perfect place to access everything wine country offers & enjoy down time at “home"
We could not have been happier with the Carneros house! The house itself has spacious accommodations for two couples or an entire family. The master suite is huge with an attached bath. The guest room on the first floor has a large queen bed and attached private bathroom as well. The living room is bright and open. The kitchen is stocked with high-end everything and more than enough supplies to cook your own feast or enjoy a nice breakfast with coffee in the breakfast nook. You can unplug and enjoy the patios or watch a movie in the evening. Internet and cable both available so you can just sign into your Netflix account, etc. It’s also within walking distance to the AMAZING Fremont Diner. It’s a must for breakfast and the brioche french toast is probably the best I’ve ever had. When you visit wine country, there are a ton of options for wineries and breweries to visit — but the Carneros house was in a great location to visit most anything. You’re a 15-minute drive to Napa, 10-minute drive to downtown Sonoma (The Girl & The Fig is awesome) and could ride your bikes to the Carneros Brewery & Winery. They have a cool family story to hear about. My only complaint is that the knobs on the bathtub were too tight, so I wasn’t able to enjoy the bath I was hoping for but I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Enjoy wine country. There’s truly something for everything there.

Hi Shannon,
Thanks for the great review. We've addressed the issue outlined and apologize for the inconvenience. We look forward to your return stay!

This was an excellent stay. The property feels peaceful, private, and very well cared for, and the now-mature vineyard makes the setting feel even more distinctive for a unique experience. We especially enjoyed trying the estate Pinot Noir and Chardonnay (and bubbles!), which was delicious and made the experience feel even more connected to the property. The house itself was comfortable, very well equipped, and easy to settle into even though the pool and spa kept drawing us outside! The location is ideal for enjoying Sonoma Valley’s restaurants and wineries, but also to Napa or even Healdsburg or Calistoga for a quick day trip. The guidebook was a gem - it gave us up to date recommendations that seemed like they came from insiders. We’ll be back soon!
We only stayed one night, which felt like leaving a five-course meal after the appetizer. The house is even more beautiful than the photos—always a pleasant surprise. The backyard alone is worth it: a resort-worthy pool and spa set right in the middle of a vineyard. It’s the kind of place where you briefly consider canceling your plans and just… staying put with a glass of wine. The estate wine was genuinely great (not just “free wine” great), and the whole property has this quiet, tucked-away feel that makes it easy to forget the outside world exists.Location-wise, it’s a perfect home base for exploring Sonoma—close to excellent restaurants and a handful of wineries, without feeling crowded or overly touristy. Bonus points for the curated guidebook, which was actually thoughtful and useful (not just filler recommendations). No complaints. We’d absolutely come back—and next time, we’ll stay long enough to dessert.
