OUTDOOR ENJOYMENT
We have a large yard with gardens and shady areas and patio area for relaxing. We give you shared access to our shed that stores very nice outdoor furniture with thick cushions, table and chairs, gas BBQ grill, Mosquito Magnet machine in summer, fire pit, kids bikes, bocce ball, badminton, volleyball and other games to enjoy. There is a child's swingset and play area in the yard as well.
THE NEIGHBORHOOD
We are in a quiet residential neighborhood (75% of people live there year-round) with all size homes and megamansions/renovated/tear-down very large "cottages" that are beautiful to admire. Our home is a well maintained simple 1 level home (5 steps to front door) that has been lovingly renovated with all modern and high tech conveniences, but old fashioned appeal and comfort. The streets are mostly unpaved and the area is largely wooded.
PRIVATE BEACH -2 BLOCKS AWAY; PUBLIC TOWNSHIP BEACH -1/3 MILE AWAY:
Our short street is 2 blocks from corner of Notre Dame and Chicago --off Marquette Woods Road-- where the private beach access path begins. It's a short climb up the sandy hill and over the other side to the small private crescent of beach/lakefront. A family with toddlers or seniors can make the trip in less than 10 minutes. Low traffic area. If you are spending the day at the beach and want to carry gear, coolers (rolling shopping cart provided in basement for you to borrow our beach/cooler gear) and other accoutrements, we suggest you drive to the township beach where you can park right next to beach entry and use rest rooms and changing rooms throughout the day. Entry to park is 1/3 mile away, but driveway through park to beach parking lot is another 1/3 mile.
