Mellow Yellow suited our needs perfectly. So nice to have a bedroom and kitchen/living area on bottom floor for easy access for my elderly relatives. Very clean and well cared for. The pool is awesome, and loved a full size washer and dryer. Joyce was very helpful and answered all of my emails quickly. The only recommendation we would suggest would be to upgrade the TV's in living area and master BR. Due to great rates and location, we would rent this home again.
Recommended for:Families with teenagers, tourists without a car, age 55+, girls getaway, families with young children.

We had a wonderful stay in this lovely beach house, there were 7 of us including our 3 yr old daughter. The location of the house was wonderful and having our own pool was great. The house and pool were in good condition and the pool was maintained wonderfully while we were there. We did have an issue with the upstairs air conditioner (it froze up), but called immediately to have it fixed and the maintenance was in right away for repairs. The other plus is it was only a mile from the town of Seaside and the beach access was 5 minutes walking distance. Things to improve on: Kitchen is small, but the main thing was there was not many frying pans, utensils, and kitchen appliances for the 7 of us... The blender was missing it's lid so we had to us a plate to close the blender when using it. Another thing was the raccons kept getting in the trash and dragging it all over the yard. Maybe it might benefit to have larger more storage friendly garbage cans, that the raccoons cannot get into. Again these are minor issues only, we had a great stay and would definitely come back!

This was a great place to stay, and very near all of the activities in Seaside. The pool was nice to have during the first few "hot" days, and then the sound system was nice to have inside during the "rainy" days. Overall, I would recommend staying at this location!
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, adventure seekers, families with young children.

The owners have great pride of ownership; the house is furnished well with everything you need for a beautiful stay very close to the beach. The pool was one of our most enjoyed evening / night activities. The pool is shared with another home but this seemed like an advantage to us because we could return with a larger group and rent both homes and have a blast! The observation deck is another great feature of the home - it has Gulf views during the daytime and during the nighttime it is a great place to have a martini.
Owner response:Thanks for your great review! However, our pool is a private pool for that property only. The house behind the pool is a guesthouse owned and used only by us (the owners). We do not rent it out. However, we would never come and stay there if the main house is being rented out. We understand people want their privacy.

We just spent a week at Mellow Yellow. The house is as described on VRBO. Situated close to beach access. House is very clean and well-maintained. We cooked in one night. Kitchen utensils could be updated a little (measuring cups/spoons, tableware) but not a significant problem. We did have a couple of our rental bikes stolen from inside the gate in the front yard. Joyce was very responsive to my queries before arriving.

Just returned from a relaxing 4 night getaway. The house was wonderful and located just steps from the beach. Ideally situated 1/2 way between Destin and Panama City so you're close to everything including lots of great dining and shopping choices. We would highly recommend it

We just spent "Spring Break" at Mellow Yellow and we had a fabulous time. The beach was beautiful but the water was a little cold but we all went swimming anyway! The house is comfortable, clean and in a private location. Publix grocery store is about 1 mile away which was very convenient.
