  We rented this log home as a mini-family reunion. There was plenty of room for all of us. (13 of us kids and adults). Kids loved swimming in the lake. View is AMAZING from the deck. Owner was extremely helpful. Cabin is beautiful and very private. I would recommend this rental especially if you have a larger group.

  We had 11 guys up for a fishing/guys weekend and had a great time. Everything was as we expected from the listing and Larry was very cooperative with answering my questions as the dates approached for our visit. It was very clean when we arrived and we didn't have any issues. The location can't be beat. The ice fishing was productive right out in front of the cabin (about 300 yards out) with many jumbo parch being caught. We had a great breakfast at Twin Pines just up the road too. A larger table would be nice for groups our size but it wasn't that big of deal. The lower level was perfect for a bunch of guys hanging out in the evening during the winter. Had cards, pool and a movie going and nobody was getting in anybodys way. It isn't cheap, but it is a great value. Everyone is looking forward to getting the place again next year.

  We loved this cabin! There were 7 couples and 4 children under 2, and this cabin worked perfectly! It was big and spacious, with an excellent recreational/bar room in the basement. The cabin was beautiful, clean and well stocked with everything we needed (dishes, blankets, cards, wood...) And the price was very reasonable. The owner was quick to respond to any questions or concerns we had prior to our stay, and the reservation process went very smoothly. We would definitely recommend this cabin to anyone-we couldn't stop mentioning how we would all love to return ourselves again one day!

  We had our family Christmas a few weeks early and decided to rent out this cabin/mansion. This place is enormous and had everything we needed for the weekend. It is a very private setting with an amazing view from it's perch on the hill. You can see almost all of Lake Mille Lacs from the huge deck and the sunrises are amazing! We had a great time playing multiple games of pool and enjoying each others company in such a beautiful place. We will definitely be back!

  The cabin is gorgeous. We utilized it for a company retreat and found it to be very accomodating. There was plenty of room to sleep and also to eat and have a few drinks at the end of the day(s). The few issues that arose were dealt with promptly by Larry through phone contact. Larry was reasonable and easy to work with - his flexibility was appreciated. The place could use a little more money put into cookware and dishes if it is to be viewed as a true retreat. In fairness the property is primarily established as a home. The house offered a nice assortment of rooms and plenty of nooks to find solitude when sought. My team had a wonderful time, even in the winter, and we look forward to returning. I was told by an adjacent property owner that the cabin is the second biggest on Mille Lacs and at the highest point of elevation on the lake. That would account for the wonderful view of the lake. I also enjoyed enough parking for three vehicles in the garage and another three outside the garage. If you have special requests I suggest simply contacting the owner; he is a very reasonable man. We rotated personel staying at the cabin mid-week and he was able to have the cleaning crew change linen and spruce the place up that day.

  6 months ago we reserved this beautiful home for our girls weekend. You never know exactly what you're getting on line and we hoped for the best. Fortunately we were very happy and satisfied! The pictures are accurate! The place is so spacious that we couldn't get into each others way if we tried! Very private home up on a hill looking over the lake. There were 6 of us and we all had our own bedroom. Never a wait for a bathroom either! Everything was clean and comfortable. Even though it's a large space, it felt warm and cozy, probably because of all the lovely wood and beams. It was a quick 5 min. drive to The Blue Goose and 10 min. to Grand Casino, so that was an extra convenience. We all agreed that we would like to go back again in the future for a spring or fall visit. Thank you for all of your help, Larry. We had a great time!! I've already suggested this property to several other friends.

  Log home was truly spectacular. The home was clean, well stocked and simply fantastic views. Enjoyed the pool table and sitting on the deck overlooking the lake. The fish cooperated and we caught most of the fish within view of the log home. I would not hesitate to recommend this home to friends and family. Thanks for an enjoyable stay. Tom

  This home is a rustic paradise with amazing view and sunrises. When searching for a place to spend time as a family, we saw this spacious home and new it would be perfect. The beds were comfortable. The home was clean and well maintained. Our family enjoyed the downstairs retreat where we were able to hold multiple pool tournaments and games while enjoy the view of the lake. The owner was wonderful to work with and very accommodating. He helped make our stay very enjoyable.
