We found the condo location and photos displayed on VRBO were accurate. There were some minor issues with the property when we arrived, but were taken care of quickly. The owner was helpful in answering any questions we had. Shortly after our arrival we were given several bottles of water, macadamia chocolates, cleaning supplies and paper products. The bed was very comfortable. The cooler and beach chairs were very much appreciated. The kitchen was very well supplied with pots, pans, dishes, utensils etc. The condo association does not allow barbecques, so an indoor grill would be the next best thing. We would recommend this property to our friends or relatives. Thank you to the Leonardi Ohana. We will be back.

The rental was amazing. It really made my vacation so much better! This was my first time renting through vrbo and not staying at a hotel. The rental was exactly as described and very home like. The owner was extremely welcoming and provided home like touches to the rental property. If anything was needed he was very accommodating in a timely manner. I will be booking through him for the coming years!

Very well stocked apartment, has just about everything you need. Great TV, wifi, phone, kitchen, beach goods, washer/dryer, well-stocked with basic necessities. Convenient for the bus, short walk to the beach, one block from a grocery. lots of restaurant, even a couple of farmer's markets nearby. Comfortable bed, AC, good shower. Bathroom is a bit cramped. Waikiki is noisy, but this place is actually less so than expected.

This place is truly home away from home. We couldnt pick better one. It is very close to the beach, attractions and restaurants. It was great to have a full kitchen, where we found everything we needed, washer and dryer, free internet access and the most importatnt thing for us - The surf. If you have surf waiting for you on your lanai - there is no excuse. We had so much fun. Thank you very much for letting us use your apartment. We will be back next year. :)

This place was a great place to stay for the month. It was a short walk to the beach and many of the great hotels and restaurants in Waikiki. It was also less than a block to the canal which was a nice place to go for a walk or run and watch all of the people kayaking. When we arrived, there were a ton of paper goods already there for us to use. There were beach chairs, coolers, boogie boards, etc as well that were very convenient to have and bring to the beach. One night our power went out and the realtor promptly came down see what was going on and called an electrician to fix the issue. He, without asking, refunded our money for the night the power went out and went above and beyond to help us out. Overall, great place to stay and would recommend this place to anyone wanting to stay in the Waikiki area.

Owner response: I had to save the ice cream. = ) Thanks for a great review. I'm not only a Realtor but the owner and we like to treat all our guests like family. This place is where I stay with my family when I go surfing in Waikiki so it is like your staying in our home. We do like to make it special.

My husband is what is called "a local boy" and this past Feb. and Mar. we decided to come home for a long visit and not intrude on family. I looked at several locations and kept coming back to this hidden treasure on the island. When I talked with the owner he asked what it was about the site that attracted us and I replied, " the visual video and the rice cooker". He laughed but understood immediately! The apartment has a great island feel and you settle in within minutes. The advantage of having your own washer and dryer on the lanai was like being at home. Everything you needed from towels, bed linens to paper goods were stocked and ready for use. The best part of our stay was the "front door". On the inside you were in a calm peaceful surrounding where you could enjoy a great meal, a movie and a good nights rest. On the outside you were just a couple of blocks from one of the most beautiful beaches in the world, just steps away from walking along the canal early in the morning or at sunset and a block from a grocery store or able dine at some of the best restaurants in the city. Renting this treasure was like "Coming Home to Hawaii not Visiting Hawaii"!!!! Mahalo!!!

My husband and I truly enjoyed our stay at this cozy apartment during our month in Hawai'i. Upon arrival we were greeted by fresh plumeria blossoms, bottled water, chocolates, and coffee - such a nice touch. The kitchen is well equipped and we prepared many meals, making our stay much more economical. By far the best feature is the location. You really can walk to anything. We took advantage by frequently walking to Kuhio beach, the Food Pantry across the street, shops, restaurants, and bars. It was also so great that the apartment came with parking, this is key if you have rented a car and intend to explore the island because parking in Waikiki is challenging. The decor is very current and the apartment is quite clean. I loved having a full size washer/ dryer at my disposal! Additionally, the owners were very pleasant to deal with.

My family stayed here for a long weekend and had a wonderful experience. The unit was clean and well-stocked with linens and other necessities... my son especially loved the DVD collection! We appreciated having a full kitchen to store snacks and reheat leftovers, and it was helfpul to have a washer and dryer available after a long day at the beach. The condo is also conveniently located near the beach and a wide variety of resataurants. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.

My wife and I were looking for a place in Waikiki that provided a quality stay and easy access to all of the activities planned for our daughter's graduation from Hawaii Pacific University. This property is by far the best place we've stayed at in Waikiki. It is a home away from home, well maintained, comfortable and fully functional. We could have stayed permanently if the opportunity presented itself. We've stayed in local hotels in past visits, at prices far and above what is offered for this place, and found that this property is perfect for those who want to visit Honolulu, make their own meals (like home), walk or commute to key destinations and are looking for relaxation and comforts at an affordable price. There is a steady breeze that flows through the condo, with comfortable bed, couch, and seating in the lanai. A washer/dryer setup makes traveling light a blessing, and having the basics provided when you walk in (towels, napkins, TP, and even coffee, creamer and sugar) is a great way to start a trip to the Island. The morning brings a rush of sounds from local businesses ramping up activities for the day, and the night life in Waikiki is, well, the night life in Waikiki. Easy access in and out of the area makes this condo location ideal for long stays. Bottom line, we really enjoyed the stay at this condo, and highly recommend those interested in an excellent quality location to strongly consider renting this condo for your stay. Although our stay was only for 9 days due to a tight schedule, we do plan on trying to rent this place on our future return trips for our daughter's Master's Degree graduation in 2013, and of course, each time we visit in between. Words that describe this condo rental: Quality, Comfortable, Easy Access, and Affordable. Mahalo

            Kings Village View on map

Hawaii is geographically within an isolated group of islands in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. This is the home of the King's Guard Drill Team whose own unique drill style is partly attributed to that isolation. When Hawaii became a territory of the U.S., the islands were then considered a vital military port. With this large military presence, the rigors of daily discipline & drill continued. In the early 1920's, ROTC programs were opened to select high schools in Honolulu. The cadets were instructed in drill & ceremony by military personnel. Specialized regulation teams were organized within the units and were soon followed by exhibition drill which became very popular.
