This house is located just blocks from everything that you need. We are 2 blocks from the park, 1 block from the historic district, and 5 blocks from downtown and all of the history that it has to offer! There are several restaurants and bars in walking distance, but far enough away for a peaceful rest. The house is a 3 bedroom, 2 bath home and can sleep 6-8 people in total. Two of the bedrooms are furnished with queen beds and the third bedroom has 2 twin beds. One of the queen rooms is located in the lower level and is nice and cool in the summertime.
We recently refinished all of the original wood floors from 1946 and they are just beautiful! This house has a lot of charm. Updates have been made when necessary, but we have done our best to maintain some of the original features.
We are pro-family and do not charge for children 15 years of age and under. This house is a duplex and the other side is rented out. There are five steps into the front door. There is a large lot where 2 vehicles have off street parking and there is plenty of room for a pet to be outside, however it is unfenced. Pets are considered on a case by case basis.
The house is completely furnished and has a table and grill for outdoor cooking. It also comes with wifi and Dish TV. We have just completed an update on the house and this is only the third summer it is available as a vacation rental.

We kindly ask that you do not move any furniture (beds, dressers, tables, couch, chairs, etc.). Each piece of furniture out of it's original position will be assessed $25 for replacement.
If you need to cancel your reservation, we will honor a full refund of the amount you have paid if you cancel before 30 days prior to check-in. We try to be reasonable with this because "thing do happen beyond our control". This will be at our discretion. You will be responsible for contacting the Damage Protection company according to the policy that they email to you when you pay it with your first payment to us.

Livingston is the place to be in the summer. We are located at the original gateway to Yellowstone National Park. There are many activities available to the traveler including hiking, white water rafting, rock climbing, fishing, city tours, monthly art walks, and much more! We are located about 50 miles from the Yellowstone National Park Entrance and about 30 miles from Bozeman, MT where the airport is.
Events to look forward to in Livingston during the summer include the Art Walk (4th Friday of every month), July 2-4 Parade, Rodeos, Art in the Park by the Depot on Park, Professional Bull Riding (PBR), Summer fest (July 17-19, 2015), the Livingston Hoot (August 13-15, 2015) and our weekly Farmers Market (Wednesday evenings 4:30-7) in Sacajawea Park only a short walk from our rental.
There is almost always something going on in our sleepy little town during the summer! It is truly an undiscovered hideaway!

About the owner: Our names are Elton and Elaine. Elton was born and raised in Livingston, MT. We purchased this duplex about 8 years ago and it has been a standard rental until 2013. We have just decided to explore the world of vacation rentals. Several of our friends have been doing this for a couple of years and really have enjoyed their experiences. We would love to have you stay at our vacation rental in Livingston and would also be happy to be your resource and knowledge to our area and things that there are to do here!
Why the Owner Chose Livingston: The Livingston area has been home to our family for close to 150 years and there are six generations of us that currently call it home. This house was originally purchased as an investment property and some of our family have stayed here when they have moved back home (and they always do!)
We currently live on a 20 acre ranch just west of Livingston. This part of the world really is the 'last best place' and a piece of God's country.
The Unique Benefits at this House: This house was build in 1946 and has a lot of the original character but also has enough of the upgrades to today's standards. We pulled out all of the carpet and refinished the original floors and I am sure there are many stories within those walls! The location of this house is the best that there is in town. Parking can be difficult during a Livingston summer so staying at a location that is easy walking distance to the action is a plus.
