- No Pets Allowed : We love animals, especially dogs! However, due to the differing ideas of what a well behaved dog truly is, we find it necessary to "not allow pets" anymore:( Sorry that this had to ruin it for everyone. Cats not allowed due to some returning guests and their allergic reaction to cat hair. Thanks for your understanding:)

- Minimum Age Limit for Renters : Must be 25 years and up...this is our family home and we do not rent to fraternities, sororities or any type of party groups. Guest screening is done with all inquiries.

Why the Owner Chose Idyllwild
We were spending each getaway in Idyllwild. After experiencing many rentals and local Inn's, we rented our vacation home and it was for sale. The rest is history and after the purchase, we named the house, The Corner Lodge because of it's location.
The Unique Benefits at this House
The smell of the pine trees is soothing. The sights of the squirrels scampering up the tree is comical, hiking, biking, walking, browsing in town, and socializing with locals at Cafe Aroma's. The pace is slower and it allows us to regroup.

Girls Weekend Was A Blast!

There were 6 of us getting together for a weekend of catching up on girls stuff. Among the fun was horseback riding and lots of laughs. Dinner at Cafe Aroma's was wonderful and hanging out in the yard watching the birds in the trees were only a few of the things that will bring us back to The Corner Lodge. It was a great weekend! Thanks to the owners for a special place.

I love it that this guest discovered this type of getaway. Aside from the wonderful memory setting times with family, there are many other creative opportunities for fun, and just 2 hours from San Diego! The Corner Lodge is waiting to welcome you!!!

Wow! What a beautiful home, with a beautiful setting! This weekend was especially for the kids. Thank you so much for being child friendly. My 1 1/2 year old granddaughter enjoyed the bucket of toys and my 9 year old daughter and older daughter enjoyed the spa and game room. You guys have done a perfect job in making sure your guests have everything they need. We went to earth, wind and fire and enjoyed making our own pottery. We have been coming to Idyllwild for 5 years now and you can never see or do enough. Thank you so much for opening up your home to us Mrs. Herr. We love your black lab, it reminds us of out two labs. Trevi, we love your spring break letter.

"Satanic forces are at work here..." I hope you guys watch Gilmore Girls... quite reference from the episode where Lorelei and Rory go to a B&B... Anyway, we just arrived and we love your Corner Lodge. It's beautiful. Kids are having a blast in the backyard. We love the town, everyone has been lovely. Dear Herr Family... Our family to yours extend much thanks for the homey accommodations of The Lodge. We, like the guests before us, found solitude in Idyllwild while forming memorable moments with our loved ones- this occasion being our Pop's 75th Birthday! They say, home is where the heart is and we were able to enjoy that part within the beauty and comfort of this place. Being ' city dwellers' we even marveled at the squirrels (larger than in the city) and wood peckers and amazing blue jays (or at least we think) were entertaining to watch! We thank you for offering us this special place.

We were a large group, 4 couples. This trip has been wonderful and much-needed. We thought we saw a bobcat which was exciting for the children, but it wasn't. It was a cute kitty! The place was very cozy, especially with the fire and hot tub! We hope to come back again to this special place!

What a wonderful discovery we've made! A beautiful lodge/family home so close to beautiful Idyllwild! Our group of 6 was in winter heaven... great home to visit and rest in! Well... it took us a little over a year to make it back (last stayed Aug. 2008) and it sure was worth the wait. Rich and I enjoyed celebrating our 10 year anniversary here. It was a romantic, fun, exciting stay. There was a sprinkle of snow, unexpected and a great surprise. We appreciate all the hard work and effort it takes to make sure your home is our "home away from home." I'm sure we will be back!

We are 4 couples from Orange County that decided to get away for the weekend. Your house is beautiful and the floor plan is perfect for us. We had a bit of snow to play in and enjoyed the quaint town and crisp clean air. Our experience with renting your cabin will be one we al remember for years and will hopefully be back again.
