  • Can't Imagine a Better Place to Stay on Maui!

"My husband and I enjoyed every minute of our stay at Kihei Kai #12! What a treat to be steps from what became our favorite beach on Maui - Sugar Beach. We took longs walks every night and enjoyed the patio for meals. We canoed with the Maui Canoe Club just up the beach from us. We snorkeled, sunbathed, swam, relaxed, all of it! Right from our homebase. Chip and Charlotte couldn't have been more accommodating. When the island's first hurricane in 22 years threatened to hit, they were a phone call away to make sure we had what we needed and felt safe. They even offered to let us come stay with them if things got bad! Luckily, the weather held off and we got to finish our vacation in our cozy condo, taking advantage of the smart TV during the few rain showers we did have. A few other highlights before I sign off: - Dina's Sandwitch up the beach was so much fun for drinks and food. Met locals each night we went who offered great advice. - Loved the collection of books to borrow from right by the condo's laundry unit! - Go get a macadamia nut cinnamon roll from Kihei Caffe down the road a bit. I wish I had gone back for a second before leaving. Best thing I ate all week. - Canoeing with the Maui Canoe Club just steps away was a real treat (and great arm workout) for cheap. - Shopping for unique souvenirs is so much better upcountry (Pa'ia, Makawao) than Front Street in Lahaina. If we ever make it back to Maui, the only thing I know we'll do for sure is stay at the Kihei Kai #12. Thanks for everything, Chip and Charlotte!"

  • Great condo, great location, great value

"The title says it all. The kitchen and bathrooms were beautifully refurbished giving the condo a hotel like quality. It had all amenities you need to a comfortable stay. TV's worked well, bed and pull out bed were comfortable. A/C worked well. The lighting design was especially nice. Close to the waterfront with peekaboo views. I like the proximity to the nightlife in Kihei as well as the more deserted beaches and boutique shopping of Wailea. Served as a great home base for my family. It was nice that unit also came equipped with boogie boards and coolers making beach excursions a snap on the first day of arrival. Kevin was responsive and easy to deal with. This was by far the best value for the money anywhere near Wailea. I would visit again next time I'm in Maui. Dan F."

  • Overall Happy...

"Great location, very close to some of the better places to eat in kihei and centrally located between most of the rest of the island. Nice beaches right across the road, close to great snorkeling spots. The building was nice, clean kept up pool area. Nice garden areas. Overall a great value for what you pay. Our only complaints were that there were tiny, fruit fly sized, bugs on all of the counter tops and if you left any food unsealed, they got in it. Also the A/C stopped blowing cold air on the last few nights. I understand things happen and would still probably go back to this condo. Other than the bugs, it was a clean, comfortable place to rest at night."

  • Best Whale Viewing in Maui

"We stayed in the condo for 12 days and loved it. Location is great for visiting the rest of the island as well as all the amazing beaches of south Maui. Well maintained, clean and everything we needed including a dishwasher! There was also beach gear including 3 sizes of boogie boards, snorkeling goggles and a set of large flippers, umbrella, beach mats and big selection of buckets and spades. Views were amazing and the whale viewing incredible. We saw on average 3 whales each day and 6 one morning, all in the ocean right outside the condo. Pool was great for us and our 3 year old who could stand and swim in the shallow end. There is an Expedia booking agent in the complex office for booking activities and the the staff are very helpful. The condo manager is VERY available, helpful, friendly and ready to assist. The unit and complex were quite. We would stay here again."
