Great cabin on Franklin
We loved our stay. Cabin was clean. Views were amazing. Amenities were good. Will definitely look at staying there again if we are in the area.
Sunset Mountain Retreat.
The property had everything we could possibly need. On arriving the first day we caught the most phenomenal sunset. The location is out in the beautiful mountain countryside which allows for peace and relaxation. The location is still a short drive to tons of activities such as gen mining, historic franklin, Cherokee, horseback riding, and numerous waterfalls. The property itself was well stocked to meet all of our needs. To top it off the owner has great taste with the beautiful wood furniture and comfortable leather couches. Perfect vacation spot for those trying to escape the hustle and bustle of the city.
We absolutely loved it! It was clean and had everything we needed! All we had to do was bring clothes and toiletries! We spent Thanksgiving there and it was perfect! The view is amazing! And relaxing by the fire place at night was awesome! Very secluded! The owner was easy to contact and very helpful! We spent a week here after my Husband had been deployed to Iraq for 10 months, so we decided to come and relax with our 2 kids. Perfect place!! Definitely recommend this home!
I had a great time here. The house is very secluded which is great and the view is breathtaking even from inside. The only small thing I noticed was there were a massive amount of lady bugs around but none inside and all in all its a great place to get away.
What a view!
The property was beautiful, tastefully decorated and very clean. It might be helpful to advise potential renters of the particulars of the drive up the mountain and the nature of it ( very winding with multiple hairpin curves) and the length it takes to get there. If anyone is prone to carsickness, you may want to suggest another of your properties that does t involve such a drive. Also, perhaps you could have your cleaners take the trash with them after they’ve cleaned Instead of requiring the customers to do that. Just a thought. Our stay was delightful and we appreciate your hospitality.
Hi Lisa, thank you for your review. I just wanted to clarify that the winding road you mentioned was actually a shortcut through the mountains that I had explained to your husband would save you some driving time, and is NOT the typical road to the property. I apologize for any confusion and hope that you will stay at Cozy Rocking Chair in the future as the drive to get there is quite easy and painless. Happy Holidays to you and your family.
The Great Smoky Mountains.. Home to breathtaking national parks and thriving artistic communities, it is no surprise that this area is one of the most visited vacation destinations in the country.
And nestled right in the middle, between the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, the Nantahala National Forest, and the quaint mountain town of Franklin…To the west, the contiguous half-million acres of the Nantahala National Forest are home to hiking trails, mountain streams and waterfalls, the whitewater adventures of the Nantahala, Pigeon, and Ocoee Rivers, and literally hundreds of species of wildlife and flowers. To the north, the mile-high peaks of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park roll into the distance. And just five minutes away is the town of Franklin.
Enjoy the leisurely pace with a stroll down Main Street to shop for pottery and antiques. Or you can catch a performance from the Western North Carolina Jazz Society, and tour the galleries and artistic communities of nearby Sylva, and Dillsboro. These towns boast charm and character that draws locals and tourists alike. Here you’ll discover a unique mix of folk art and sophisticated galleries nestled in between fine dining restaurants and comforting mom and pop diners. Asheville, Bryson City, Cherokee, and Waynesville are also only a half an hour away.
