Guestbook comments from the manager

This cabin is amazing. The craftsmanship is unlike I have ever seen. We're the Detroit metro area and this is the farthest north we have ever been. The cabin and location is something from the movies. It is very comfortable and relaxing and today we wandered in the woods. During our stay, we drove through a blizzard to the Ojibwa Casino. It was a small casino, but we had a great time. Over the past few days, snowfall has accumulated over 15 inches. The owners kindly kept the drive plowed for us. In the past we have rented log cabins at Boyne, this log cabin has give us so much more peace, enjoyment and relaxation...and there is not a lack of snow here! We love this cabin and plan to visit again.

Great log cabin with all the amenities and a wonderful central location to visit all of Keweenaw

  • 5 of 5

Highly recommend this log cabin. All the amenities are here! Great central location to all the sight seeing locations and to either side of the peninsula. Warm and cozy atmosphere that was perfect for our family vacation. Sauna was a big hit along with wood burning fireplace. Loved it!

Great Family Getaway!

  • 5 of 5

Our family thoroughly enjoyed the Mohawk Lodge! One week wasn't nearly long enough. The interior is relaxing and felt like home. The beds were comfortable. There were plenty of dishes, pans, etc and more than enough linens. And we loved having the washer/dryer available. The cabin is centrally located at a 'perfect' location for all the many activities and sites in the Keweenaw Peninsula. We spent time in the yard a few days and it is very quiet, but yet it's not too far off the main road for when you're taking day trips to Calumet, Houghton/Hancock, Copper Harbor or any of the small communities in the area. We loved the Mohawk Lodge and look forward to visiting again. The owner was great to work with and answered all of our questions about the home promptly.

Family Fun!

  • 5 of 5

What a Beautiful Home! Stayed for a family gathering the week before we left our daughter at Michigan Tech. Great place to relax, connect and enjoy one another's company.

Right in the middle of Keweenaw. Yes, you had a bit of a drive to everything but this home is in the heart of it all.

Awesome house in a great location

  • 5 of 5

My family and I enjoyed this home immensely! What a fabulous location for many day trips - into Copper Harbor, Eagle River, Eagle Harbor, and even the Porcupine Mountains. The house was perfect for our family of 5 - the kids enjoyed the loft area and played endless games of pool! I loved the extremely well-stocked kitchen and great master bedroom. We enjoyed the campfire area as well as the woods that surrounded the house. Perfect for wildlife viewing! Would stay here again!

Just returned from an awesome week spent at this gorgeous vacation home in the woods. Everything we needed for the week was readily available, except the food/beverages. We did some snow shoeing in the woods, with the sun shining on the snow, it was definitely a winter wonderland. We then settled in to a warm, cozy fire in the most awesome fireplace. We will definitely be back again. This is our first experience renting with vrbo. and everything went very smoothly. Thank you for a well needed vacation in your home.
