Gorgeous 5-star cabin in the mountains!!

  • 5 of 5

We so enjoyed our time in this area and the house was the cherry on top! It was perfect for our 50th bday girls trip. I can honestly say the pictures and even video didn't do this place justice. Soaring ceilings, beautiful views and furniture. Every kitchen dish or appliance - we joked we had everything to do a thanksgiving dinner for all our families. Pam the owner was very helpful and Tony was great to show us around the home and answer questions. If you are considering this area, book this home. You won't be disappointed.

Excellent home!

  • 5 of 5

You cannot go wrong with this home. We have rented several houses in the NC mountains over the years. This home is simply our favorite. Few others are even in the same class. All the representations in the home's description are completely accurate. If you want a lovely, quiet, completely comfortable, clean, big home with a great view and plenty of hiking right out the front door, Pam's house is going to be very hard to beat.

Beautiful Peaceful Retreat!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I absolutely loved The Pond House! It is a beautiful, immaculate retreat with a lovely view of the mountains. Everything is perfectly maintained and designed for comfort. The home’s layout is perfect, and the screened porch is a great place to begin & end your day. While it is tempting to just stay at this awesome home, don’t miss all the fun in the area. Sightseeing, golf, beautiful lakes, shopping and great restaurants are in close proximity. Finally, it is an easy drive from Atlanta so don’t miss this rental opportunity. We can’t wait to return next year!

Perfect Mountain Get Away

  • 5 of 5

The home exceeded all of our expectations. Not a detail was missed....The sunrise and sunset views from the deck provide the perfect beginning and end to each day. If you are lucky, a little hummingbird will drop by to feed on the deck flowers. The screened in porch was our favorite place for dinner with the music of a crackling fire providing the back-drop.

Each room was cozy and comfortable and meticulously clean. The activities books were very helpful in planning our days and getting around the area. The Fall themed decorations throughout the home were lovely. I highly recommend a visit to this home away from home.

Owner's Response: Patricia - Thank you so much for taking the time to review our home. And, happy to hear you enjoyed everything. We've just put in new screened porch furniture so I'm also happy to hear you spent a good bit of time out there. And, I love changing things up a bit for the seasons. We have so many guests who come back several times a year so a few updates here and there makes it special. Come back again!

Great vacation!

  • 5 of 5

The say at The Pond was wonderful! Pam had so many maps and books directing us on what was best to do in the area. Tony was great showing us around the house. The house is wonderful with the kitchen stocked for any cooking you would want to do. We cooked in every night. The linens and beds were super comfortable and the view cannot be beaten. Hope to get to stay again in the future. We would love to go back when it's a little cooler and utilize both wonderful fireplaces. We had a fire in the outside fireplace and was perfect. Our teens loved the s'mores left for enjoyment. Thanks Pam for everything! We even had an email after we left saying housekeepers found a couple of ticks in the house. We had a long hike and found a few on our bodies, but Pam wanted to make sure we double checked our group. Very attentive owners wanting to make sure all have a great experience. Thanks so much!

Owner's Response: I'm so happy you had a good time. Not surprising after your 10 mile hike on the Bartram Trail that you came back with a few insects. It's always good to check yourself well. And, our housekeepers are the best! Our goal is to make sure everyone not only loves their stay and has a great vacation, terrific memories, etc. but also can't wait to come back. That's what makes what we do - sharing our home worthwhile. I look forward to your return. Thank you so much for choosing our home.

About Pam Pringle, Owner

We travel globally and prefer a vacation rentals to hotels. So we understand what separates the best from the rest when it comes to accommodations. Little things... and attention to details make a difference and we have reflected that philosophy in our home. We built this custom award winning (Best Vacation Home) timber framed home in 2006/2007.

Pam Pringle, Owner purchased this cabin in 2006

Why Pam Pringle, Owner chose Franklin

We fell in love with area and it's great central location. Franklin is a quaint small town with friendly people. We have terrific restaurants nearby. And, it's out of the way of noisy tourism but easy to get to all surrounding areas such as Asheville, Bryson City, Cherokee, The Smoky Mountain National Park, Sylva, Dillsboro. Hiking to waterfalls and taking scenic drives with a picnic is a couple of our favorite things to do.

What makes this cabin unique

The views are incredible and our area is such a quiet and serene spot to escape from the stresses and hectic schedule of city life. We've even thought of hiking sticks, coolers, picnic baskets and our activity books will keep you busy and coming back time and time again. So much to do, or do nothing!

Guestbook comments from the owner

If I were say what I felt about the Pond House I would just be repeating the previous comments.
