Cabin, 2 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 2 Baths, (Sleeps 4)
A rushing stream wraps around the back of our mountain cabin in the woods. Located on five acres, the cabin features a cozy dining/living area where you can dine to the sound of the creek or relax in front of the wood stove with a picture perfect view of the stream. The recently renovated cabin features Corian kitchen counters, beautiful wood floors throughout and lofted ceilings for a spacious feel. We purchased top of the line mattresses for the two bedrooms and for the futons in the living room and in the den. Walk into any room in the cabin and you can hear the soothing sound of the creek. Plan a picnic in our outdoor area with its vintage wood stove and grill or relax on the deck--we have two--one in front of the cabin and one behind it right over the creek. Excellent hiking is available right outside our door.
Highlands with its gourmet restaurants and inviting shops is a 40 minute drive from our door. Franklin is twenty minutes away with its museums, gem mines, fun restaurants and shops. If you're looking for peace and quiet and the refreshing solace of nature, this is the cabin for you. Lots of room for the kids to run around and they will love playing in the creek. The cabin is best for 4 adults, but we also have two comfortable futons for kids. Teenagers will love hiking up the stream and sliding down the rock into the refreshing stream. This is also the perfect romantic getaway for the two of you. It's nice and cool up here--we have often made fires in the wood stove in the middle of the summer.

Why Marina Fisher chose Ellijay
We wanted a place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city, a place where our kids could explore, play baseball and run around.
What makes this Cabin unique
Refreshing escape from city life. Time for reflection, rest, quiet conversation and tons of fun. There is nothing like the sound of a rushing stream to ease your stress.

Very pleasant to be surrounded by the sound cascading water and sipping coffee by cozy wood stove
I believe this is our 3rd or 4th and we still like it a good as it was our first.
Not enough room up top. This is a men's yearly cabin camping trip as we are getting old and grouchy (just like the movie). We have been doing this since about 1990 and until about 10 years ago we went backpacking and the older one can not go anymore so the family goes on. We like three things-water--fire-exercise being waterfalls-day hiking-throwing ball around etc. The creek by the house is great and the fire 'pit' works perfect for us. The property has houses around it but still it feels secluded as they are on a hill is pretty much out of sight-we have been there in March only. The house is functional and serves our purpose. We also like watching March madness and sports in general. Marina has worked great with us. I appreciate the things she has done for me which means us as a family. I want to take my wife up some time for a night/weekend (we are retired now so maybe a mid week trip) and maybe bring a grand kid or 2-there are 4 (2 are ages 2 and 4). We brought our 6 year old this time and played wiffle ball in the space a little ways form the house-he put a hurt on us old men. Anyway I thank Marina and we plan to do it again. We always try to clean up well for her.
Amazing cabin ! Was breathtaking view !!!!
Cabin was very comfortable . Had an amazing view , and was very private .
We really enjoyed our stay and can't wait to visit there again . We were blessed
with a beautiful snowfall on our stay . It made for great memories that will never
be forgotten .
Neat as a pin and well stocked.
Great cottage in a very private location. Stayed there Christmas week. Not crazy about the narrow, windy drive to get there though.
code issues resulted in major injury
beautiful property with recent upgrades. However step into master bath was not up to code. I fell trying to step down, landed full force on my elbow and ended up with a spiral fracture in my humorous bone that is requiring surgery and metal plate to repair. I will have a scar from my shoulder to my elbow. Fractured in 3 places. I am not trying to downplay this property but I do not want anyone else to suffer a similar injury. I will be out of work 7-8 weeks, there is significant pain and I will have permanent damage and scarring.
This cabin is as lovely as we hoped it would be!
Tucked away in a narrow glen, the cabin was built right next to an exquisite rocky creek. Thoughtfully designed to afford views of the lovely water falls from within, the cabin itself is cosy and pristine and has every modern amenity we would hope for. I can’t imagine a better place to escape the hustle and bustle of city living and enjoy a few days of rest and relaxation.
