About The Owner

WE, Rick and Penny Sellers, live on this same road. We love the outdoors and all nature has to offer. Rick is a builder and commercial property owner, Penny a hairdresser and outdoor enthusiast.

The Owner purchased this cottage in 2010

Why The Owner chose Otto

This location is a walk through the woods to our home. It was built in the 1970's and was a part time summer home for the previous owners. When they became too elderly to attend to it we were able to purchase it so that it would adjoin our property, the cottage sits just feet away from the creek, you can no longer build a structure this close to the water anymore.

What makes this cottage unique

The privacy makes this location perfect for a romantic getaway or honeymoon. A great way for a small family to reconnect to each other and nature. The quiet and serenity that it offers naturally is unsurpassed.

Cottage sits right on Coweeta Creek. Fishing, swimming, watch the deer and other wildlife that are only 10 yards away in meadow across the creek. Secluded setting, no traffic as it is located on a one lane dead end road. No internet but town is only 6 miles south or 12 miles north. Lots to see and do if you enjoy nature. Many restaurants and entertainments venues in town. Quite possibly the prettiest setting in Macon County, NC.

Perfect "unplugged" Getaway

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I, along with another couple stayed in this perfect little cabin for a mini vacay! It was the perfect place to relax in our hammocks or on either of the porches while listening to the creek. We used the charcoal grill and the fire pit multiple times. Everything was as pictures and worked well.

The kitchen is small, but has everything you could possibly need. Everything was clean and simple. We enjoyed the outdoor shower and the swinging palet bed!

We will definitely be coming back!

Thanks Penny!

Beautiful and private piece of paradise!

  • 5 of 5

My family and I enjoyed our stay immensely. We were all sad to leave and will be booking again in the future.

The cottage itself was beautiful and incredibly clean and cozy. It had a lot of personal touches we really appreciated. And the outside was more than amazing. We loved laying in the hammock or in the hanging bed to read and listen to the creek flowing nearby. We explored the creek, had a fire in the fire pit, and just enjoyed our time out in nature. The cottage is pretty close to nearby attractions and incredibly close to some amazing hikes.

Whether we stayed in, or went out exploring, we had a fantastic time. We cannot wait to come back!
