One of us transplanted from the Bay Area, and the other from Austin, Texas after life in a Navy family. We are now long time San Diego residents with over 25 years of local knowledge. With children of our own, we take pride in assisting families with information on economical and kid-friendly local attractions, advice on restaurants and grocery shopping, etc. We can tell you about many of the typical tourist attractions, as well as those less known 'off the beaten path' adventures loved by locals!
Rebecca purchased this Condo in 2000
Why Rebecca chose Mission Beach
My husband and I manage this condo ourselves. This is a very nice unit that we used to live in. Beach residents for over 15 years, we moved inland to raise a family in a house with a garage and yard. As an avid water and outdoor sports family, we still claim South Mission as our home break. We stay in this condo when we can, keep in touch with the neighbors, and maintain the condo as a 'home away from home' where we would be proud to have our own family and friends stay. We have a great track record of renting to families and responsible adults. We have several return families year after year -- you can see some of the great reviews they've left on the other site
What makes this Condo unique
Excellent location with a short walk to the beach or bay, Belmont Park, and 2 close by playgrounds. Views from the 4th floor above surrounding buildings because this building was constructed before the 3-floor height limitation. Covered parking, elevator, security building, garbage chute, on-site laundry room.

Overall I give five stars
Condo was clean and is in a great location. Coming from the East Coast I was a little disappointed that there is no air conditioning. I then remembered you don't need it in San Diego. The kitchen was well equipped and everything was very clean. Rebecca replied to all my questions in a nice timely manner. I would recommend this location to anyone and would stay here again
Thanks Ken, and glad you enjoyed it! Hope to see you again next summer! Yes, I should include that in the description as a reminder that you don't need air conditioning here! I've lived on the Gulf Coast and in Texas so I know what heat and humidity are like and the constant need for A/C!
This condo is old but well maintained.
The location for us was perfect. Close to Belmont park, restaurants and bars (all walking). The bed was comfortable. Would suggest a king in master. Would suggest another set of keys be left on counter. All in all, enjoyed our stay and would return.
We had a great time! Perfect location, nice place, clean and they were quick to respond to anything we needed!
Clean well taken care of Mission Beach apartment
Perfect apartment for our family of five. It was clean well taken care of and perfectly situated for our needs. My extended family has been taking the same vacation to Mission Beach every year for the last 39 years. We have grown enough that my wife and I now get our own place rather than sharing the other beach houses with the extended family. This place met all of our needs. Nearly equidistant from the beach and the bay it allowed our family a short walk to each of these prime locations. I would definitely love to rent again next year...and the year after that...and the year after that.. The owners made themselves available to us if we needed anything (we didn't) and the whole process was very simple. Thank you for helping my family have another memorable year at Mission Beach.
Thank you! So glad you enjoyed your time here and please do come back again next year - we always offer a 'return guests' discount too! Happy Summer!
4th of July Week Fun in the Sun!
We had a wonderful time at this condo centrally located just south of Belmont Park on the bay side. Rebecca was extremely helpful and accommodating to our family during the entire trip. We loved being in clean, family friendly South Mission, but still close to all the attractions near Belmont Park & Mission Bay Park. The bay in front of their street is clean & calm - lots of seashells to find in the clear water! We pulled our beach chairs right up to the water & let our feet soak while we were reading our books & relaxing in the sun. It was heaven! The two bedrooms were very spacious & having two bathrooms with teenaged girls was a huge plus! Their unit was extremely clean & had everything we wanted/needed. The beds were super comfy & I fell in the love with the most relaxing & comfortable L shaped sofa. The internet was super fast! The elevator was also really appreciated in bringing all of our gear up to the 4th floor, which had views of the ocean, bay & nightly fireworks. It is a great, secure building, and you can let visitors in with a press of a button on the phone line. There was a nearby garbage chute (super helpful) & the neighbors were all super friendly. Lots of games, beach towels, a nice beach umbrella and other beach gear we used each day. We would stay here again in a second - super nice family to deal with!
So glad to meet you and your family -- I'm sure we will cross paths again! Happy to hear you enjoyed our place. We love it too! Please do come back and stay again next summer!
Second Year and Twice as awesome
My family loves this condo. It is convenient for our family of four with all the comforts of home. Only steps from the beach and a quick car ride to most San Diego attractions, I can't wait to go back again next year. I cannot recommend this location highly enough.
Thanks Olga! You and your family are the best! We're so happy your stay was so much fun! We love having great return families like you and welcome you and anyone you refer/recommend as I know they'll love it like you do! Enjoy the rest of your summer, and hope to see you back next year! - Rebccca
Just a few steps away on the bayside you’ll find calm water
