A wonderful asset to the Hauserman Rental program, Lark Landing fills a niche like no other: a classic knotty Cedar Tahoe cabin, nestled in the Chamberlands, in a very cozy neighborhood setting. Excellent location for hiking, biking, and a very short walk along a path to all of the private amenities of Chambers Landing, especially the sandy beach and beautiful pool.
This home is unique in that it was the 3rd house built in the Chamberlands, and retains the old Tahoe charm while boasting modern conveniences. Lark Landing is a 2 story home, sunny all day with nice land around the house. Propane grill on the front deck in good weather. Entry level circles you through the updated kitchen with newer appliances, dining nook with door leading to back yard, and cozy living room with flat screen HDTV/DVR and wood-burning fireplace. Upstairs, 3 bedrooms and 3/4 bath (shower only, no tub). 2 bedrooms each with Queen bed, and 3rd bedroom with bunk beds (futon on bottom, twin mattress on top) and a roll-top desk.
In the summer time, full access to Chambers Landing private beach, pool, and tennis (sorry, no buoy!), and only 2 or so blocks walk along the trail. Yard has a dog kennel for when you want to leave the dog "unattended" at home- please don't leave alone in the house!
Available year-round, close also to Sugar Pine Point State Park. Easy sloping hillside behind the house great for sledding, snowshoeing, XC skiing and many other fall and winter activities. Save yourself the hassle of battling ski traffic by shuttling from Sunnyside to the Sherwood Chair on the back of Alpine Meadows, and then enjoy Sunnyside's famous fried zucchini après ski, or stop in for 1/2 price fish tacos on Wednesdays throughout the winter! Also, only a few minutes the best West Shore skiing at Homewood Mountain Resort with amazing views of Lake Tahoe and great family amenities. The local's choice on a powder day!
*Please note, "boat facility" means you have access to the Chambers Pier, but no buoys are available.

My family and I had a great weekend break to Tahoe, staying at Lark Landing. The cabin was cosy and as described in the adverts. We loved the location, close to Tahoe City, Homewood and Tahoma, although stumbled over the Beach/ Private Pool (Directions in the guest book would be great) which we knew was close by, but no idea where - made it a truly wonderful place to relax and enjoy the scenery.
This cabin has its perks. The chambers HOA access first and foremost is great. The cabin itself was not as nice as the pictures. The windows at the back of the house were so old, dirty and full of cobwebs that they were unusable. There were wadded up, ugly, old mattress toppers shoved in one of the corners of the bedroom. Other minor inconveniences include having to rewash any dishes or cups we used before serving, no toilet paper (!) or sugar. There were 6 of us, and my daughters bed had no sheets. Kinda gross.
The beds were comfy, location was great and there are some charming aspects about the cabin.
Really needs a back deck (and a back door that actually opens and closes properly)
Includes HOA beach, pool, and tennis pass! Less than 5 minutes from Homewood, and 20 minutes away from Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows ski areas!
