About Monica Grado

We love visiting Big Bear so much that we bought a cabin so we could visit often. Our cabin is one in which we stay and would love to share this beautiful area with you and your family. We have two young boys who absolutely cherish our visits to Big Bear and the cabin!

Monica Grado purchased this cabin in 2010

Why Monica Grado chose Big Bear

This cabin is fully stocked with everything you need. We use it often and have furnished it with EVERYTHING. You name it and it should be there. No need to pack up your whole kitchen, it is all there!

What makes this cabin unique

The location of the cabin is one of its most unique features. It is literally walking distance from the Snow Play sledding area as well as walking distance from the annual Oktoberfest at the Big Bear Convention Center. Cozy cute cabin

  • 4 of 5

The cabin is cozy and comfortable. Monica was very easy to get ahold of and answer all my questions. I loved the fence around the house great for a dog or kids. I personally wish the cabin wasn't so close to the neighbors. But it's location is easy to everything.

Cute, but needs some work

  • 2 of 5

We stayed after Christmas 2015. Lots of snow! The cabin was small but perfect for us and the yard was fenced so our dog could run around.

However, the cabin was not clean. Like, at all. I had to spend an hour and a half cleaning the kitchen, bathroom and living room when we first arrived in order to feel comfortable with my 2 year old running around and touching everything. There was actually clumps of hair and dirty soap scum in the bathtub. It was gross. But, we were already there so what could I do.

I wrote the owner afterward and told her she should probably fire her cleaning people and sent her pictures of what I was talking about and she never responded which leads me to believe this is the normal state of the cabin.

Just what we needed!

  • 5 of 5

This was the perfect place for a relaxing getaway. There were four of us, including two teenage boys and a small dog, and we felt very comfortable. The backyard area was especially nice with the fire bowl and outdoor lights and beautiful surrounding pine trees. The kitchen had everything we needed to feel right at home and prepare all of our meals. We also got a lot of use out of the entertainment system, whether it was Netflix or Pandora, etc. The beds were very comfortable and the neighborhood was very quiet, so we slept really well! The booking and access process were very quick and easy and the owner was very friendly. Finally, we were new to the area and surprised by how small the whole Big Bear area is, so it doesn't take long to get to any place you want to check out around the lake. When we go back, we'll definitely stay here!
