Blackhawk Lodge is the Tahoe we remember!
There's something really special about a classic mountain cabin. We found Blackhawk Lodge to be filled with the cozy charm and rustic warmth we were hoping for in our recent stay at Lake Tahoe. It's authentic and old school, from the solid wood floors, stone fireplace, quirky little bathrooms and wonderful old kitchen. The furnishings are comfortably lodge-style, with fun vintage stuff tucked here and there. Lots of lovely local artwork, too. Great log staircase and beams. Plenty of room for two couples with a darling spare bedroom that kids would love. The West Shore is our location of choice and all our favorite places to visit are nearby: Sugar Pine Point, Ehrmann Mansion, Bliss State Park, Emerald Bay, Sunnyside, etc. etc. We can't wait to return!
We loved our weekend we spent at Blackhawk lodge. The cabin was charming, in a nice neighborhood and great part of the Lake. The back deck was a great escape to relaxed and breathe in fresh air. The owners kept in contact and gave us great recommendations on where to eat and activities to do that were near by. We would definitely stay there again.
Exactly the mountain lake cabin we hoped for!
We recently stayed for 5 nights with my niece's family at The Blackhawk Lodge. The location; 10 minutes drive to Tahoe City, 7 minutes to The Homewood Marina and just a short walk to the lake's edge was perfect for our family. The lodge itself felt like staying at a good friend's personal home. The living room & dining area furniture & decor were comfortable and cozy, the kitchen had all the pans, dishes and gadgets we needed, the 3 bedrooms were just right for 4 adults and two kids. The bathroom downstairs had been recently remodeled and while the upstairs bathroom was older and small it was fine for us and having a second full bathroom was a real plus. There were soaps and paper products for us to use and wonderful stacks of fluffy white towels. The well stalked laundry room was an appreciatied convenience. We spent hours upon hours on the beautiful back deck nestled among the pines enjoying lazy mornings drinking coffee and laughter-filled evenings barbecuing, dining and playing games. Gazing up at the stars from the hot tub was amazing! The owners, Gavin & Robin were easy to communicate with and got back to us quickly when we had questions. We look forward to hopefully staying at Blackhawk Lodge in years to come!
Couldn't have been better!
We loved this adorable & cozy cabin. It suited our family just perfectly. I'd love to visit in the summer, as it's very close to the lake & to a really cool community center that has fun activities for the kids.
Cozy and convenient!
Loved Blackhawk lodge! Totally cozy, great deck, hot tub, fireplace and living/dining area. Good sunlight on the deck and umbrella to offer the perfect combo of sun and shade.
Very close to lake and amenities, including a great natural grocery store.
Owner and property manager were very responsive friendly and thoughtful!
Awesome all around!
We love Blackhawk
