Blackhawk Lodge, is a charming, classic 'Old Tahoe' cabin built in 1934 and located just one block from Lake Tahoe. Blackhawk Lodge features 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and high speed internet , a 4K TV, and a Bull Frog hot tub on large private deck. We have an outdoor fireplace, for roasting S'mores, cafe/market outdoor string lights and sunny and shaded deck spaces for all members of your group. The Lodge is located in the desirable Timberland area on Lake Tahoe’s West Shore on a quiet forested street. You can walk or ride bikes to Sunnyside, Hurricane Bay and Eagle Rock in a jiffy.
In the main cabin, log and timber framing create a feeling of warmth and classic charm. Leather furniture, Kilim and Oxacan carpets, down bedding, Old Hickory furniture, and original artwork enhance the comfort and enjoyment of your stay.
Guest Cabin (included): There is an adjoining cottage (aka 'The Shack'), with a small living area, bathroom & shower, plus upstairs loft with beds for sleeping. It is better described as 'rustic funk', and is perfect for kids and teens (as the sleeping portion is served by a ship's ladder).
Situated on a woodsy half acre, one block from lake, year-round vacation retreat is a short walk to Hurricane Bay with it’s scenic long stretches of open beach, and minutes by shuttle to Alpine Meadow’s Sherwood chair, as well as Homewood Ski Resort. Adjacent to the bike trail and a short stroll to public open space, Kilner Park (free tennis courts), off road bike trails, and less than a mile to Sunnyside Resort, Blackhawk Lodge is ideally located for enjoying the diverse activities that Lake Tahoe has to offer, in each of it’s glorious seasons.
