Cozy Cabin With Riverfront Location - Close To Downtown Asheville
About Lyn McFarland
I own Asheville Bulldog Realty and have many years of experience in renovating homes. When this cabin, next door to my home, became available I jumped on the opportunity. Neglected for 10 years and un-lived in for the last 2, I knew the challenges. Every pipe had frozen and the only heat source was baseboard. I spent the summer ripping out bathrooms, refinishing floors, and adding personal touches to this spectacular property. Removing over grown invasive, non-native weeds, trees and vines the first step was to clean the land. The hardly visible river emerged and revealed the beautiful rapids and views you now see. I feel I am a temporary caretakers of this magical piece of land. It brings me great joy to be able to share it with you.

Why Lyn McFarland chose Asheville
Stay here for a true mountain cabin experience with luxury amenities and a gentle mountain river just outside the door just minutes to downtown Asheville and the Blue Ridge Parkway. I took the Covid shutdown as an opportunity to renovate the decks. New stain and all new steel wire handrails on the river side. The change is transformative. Unimpeded views of the river are a delight you won't want to leave.
What makes this Cabin unique
Just three minutes to the Blue Ridge Parkway or ten minutes to downtown, the cabin is an easy Uber ride to the attractions and restaurants in our beautiful city. River Rock Cabin is on a cul-de-sac paved road with easy flat access to the cabin. Designed with attention to every detail to make your holiday experience a feast for all your senses. The cabin has beautiful river views from the great room and lower bedroom. Allow the gentle sound of cascading water to lull you to sleep or into a lazy day dream. This piece of mountain paradise will relax, rejuvenate and inspire you.

Unique Cabin by a River
This property is accurately depicted in the VRBO listing. It is close to The Biltmore, yet private and rustic. Unfortunately, the COVID 19 virus forced closure of The Biltmore on March 17th so our visit there was limited, but the cabin was a wonderful refuge nonetheless.

Great cabin. Easy checkin. Close to downtown
Awesome cabin. Worth it.
Absolutely stunned by location and how awesome the cabin was. It was a private area, clean, quiet, and Lynn was super nice when he stopped by to say hi. My wife and I will be back to this cabin for sure.
The perfect place in Asheville. We have come many times and this is our choice place to stay.
A Blissful Cabin Stay
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at River Rock Cabin in Asheville! We really didn’t want to leave. The cabin had everything you could possible need ( including duraflame logs for the fireplace) and was well appointed; the bathrooms were really 5 star! The sound of the river in the back yard was so soothing and we spent as much time as we could on the back porch ( we hit a cold spell ) . Even though the cabin is located in a small neighborhood, you would never know it. It felt very secluded and quiet ; the neighboring houses were not close. We cancelled our last day of plans downtown just to hang out and chill in this idyllic retreat. We plan to come back for a week! The host Lyn was very nice, met him when we arrived and we were greeted by a bottle of wine in the counter.
Easy Uber ride to all the amenities Asheville has to offer. Typical Uber fee is around $10-12. Approx. ten minutes to downtown. Paved easy access roads. River Rock Cabin is located in a quite neighborhood near the end of a small cul-de-sac street. 3 minutes to Blue Ridge Parkway and the Folk Art Center.
