Casa California a été conçue pour être vivante, colorée et attrayante, avec sa propre saveur californienne. Beaucoup de couleurs primaires et de motifs amusants dans les chambres et le salon, ainsi que de riches planchers en bois franc et un design inspiré du milieu du siècle - comme la table à manger pour 6 personnes avec fauteuil tulipe et beaucoup d'espace pour accueillir jusqu'à 8 personnes.

Casa California est à distance de marche de nombreux restaurants, brasseries et lieux de petit-déjeuner ainsi que du marché des agriculteurs et à seulement 3 miles du centre-ville. Pour y arriver, vous pouvez facilement prendre les transports en commun ou simplement Uber! Il est très rapide pour tous les sites incontournables de San Diego, comme le zoo de San Diego et le parc Balboa, ainsi que pour les plages ensoleillées qui nous rendent célèbres.

Restez à l'intérieur ou sortez; manger, boire et jouer à North Park ou au centre-ville de Gaslamp; Détendez-vous sur le balcon, devant la cheminée ou profitez de la vue imprenable. Et surtout amusez-vous! (Et laissez-moi savoir comment je peux aider.)

Nice place In a Nice Location

We rented this house for a long weekend while in town for a friend's wedding, and it was great. The house was nice and everything was very smooth, plus it was walking distance to a few fun neighborhoods (if you don't mind a 20-30 minute walk, which we like to do so we can get to know the areas) and an easy car ride anywhere you could want to go. Would stay again!

The host was very communicative and met all our needs. As previous reviews have stated, the location can’t be beat. We had a comfortable stay and our dogs also enjoyed the backyard. Parking is challenging in the evening, but not horrible. Friends were able to find parking a couple blocks away. Lots of shops and restaurants are within walking distance. Everything is as pictured. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Great place close to lots of activities!

Stayed for a long weekend with our two year old and both his Grandma's. What a great spot! The size was just right and everything was neat and clean. The location is perfect - walking distance to the zoo and museums. North Park is a great area just a little further in the other direction. Thanks!

Loved the location!

This was our first VRBO rental.....so much better than a hotel. More space, more beds for our big family and the kitchen was great too. My only complaint that renters need to be aware of is the parking.....we never really found anything in front of the rental...a couple days I had to make a few laps around to find a space. Other than the parking....great location, close to the zoo and great views from the patio!

Great location & price, with subtle drawbacks

Overall, we enjoyed our stay at this property, especially for the price. This would be a great location for a small family or even a group of a few couples. The property is as described, but every photo is made to look perfect. Things aren't bad, they're just closer to good than great. The most notable disappointment was that the backyard space, especially the grill, is not really great for guests to use. Yes, I'd stay here again for the location and price, but it was not as perfect as it seems at first blush.

Needs Major Work

Sad to see such a filthy home listed on this website. The house has more dust and cobwebs than should be allowed. Countertops and most surfaces were sticky, particularly the kitchen. The towels provided felt more like sandpaper than an actual towel. We tried to coordinate with the property owner but they weren't responsive. We could not find the laundry unit until we left and that's because it's on another floor that we did not have easy access to. The walls are covered in dirt and what appears to be shoe marks. Needs a severe paint job and quite a bit of TLC. Also wanted to mention that parking is a real nightmare. Not a family friendly property because it's incredibly uncomfortable and a bit dangerous with the back patio. Location was great because we were close to major points, but we would not stay here again if we returned to San Diego.

Great location

This apartment has incredibly easy access to everything in Balboa Park and is simple to get to from major highways. There are excellent restaurants within walking distance. It is well decorated although showing the wear of constant use. Whether it's because of more people working from home due to COVID or just because the listing verbage is older, parking is NOT ample, any time of day. Be prepared to either lurk for someone leaving or park two or three blocks away, and to stand outside to wait if you order food for delivery.

Perfect vacation home

This apartment is well situated for San Diego's tourist attractions as it has good bus links, which meant we didn't have to hire a car. The apartment design made it feel like a bungalow with its veranda. We had a great family holiday.

The property was very nice, clean, and Central.

The only small thing that hampered my experience was the strictness of the rules. I did feel that the host was a little overbearing with regard to reminding me about the rules and even changing them to be more strict than the listing. With that said, i would recommend staying here, especially if the host would soften a bit on the regulations.

The rules at my property are very easy and I think not overly strict - all I expect is that there is no big parties and no loud noise/yelling/screaming between 9pm and 7am so all our neighbors are able to get a good nights rest as well and my guests to truly enjoy their vacation. That being said, a fun laughter filled dinner party with friends and family kind of volume is totally fine and this is just the place for it! Where I do draw the line and this group certainly did is partying HEAVILY until 4am in the night, breaking a chair, yelling and screaming on the street and balcony to the level that the police was called to keep them quiet. Not the kind of guests I want to host in my apartment and interestingly enough EXACTLY the kind of guests my house rules (that they obviously did read and agreed too) are trying to deter. If you read this and you belong to the 1% of guests that can not enjoy their vacation at a normal noise level, please book another place. If you are a group of friends of families that want to spend a fun relaxing time in a clean, spacious and well located place - WELCOME, I cant wait to host you!

A beautiful vrbo stay in a great San Diego location. Located in a picturesque, quiet nieighbourhood. Parking was convenient within walking distance to San Diego Zoo, museums and Balboa Park. Great restaurants, cafes and markets within walking distance. Clean and well equipped, slept 2 families comfortably. Great hosts who responded immediately to questions and requests. Will definitely be staying here again.

Wonderful place to stay.

My husband, five kids ages 3-10 and I just finished up our vacation at this amazing property. Having never rented a home and this being our first vacation, I was a bit nervous. I was so pleased with our stay. It was perfectly decorated and spacious for our family of 7. We were able to utilize the backyard to bbq, the laundry room for our wet beach clothes and the kitchen was great for homemade meals. We made so many great memories here and the location is absolutely perfect to get to all the fun activities SD is known for. Not to mention the view of SD at night from our balcony was extremely beautiful. Communication with Doreen was also a breeze. Should anything arise or you need to contact her she was very prompt in her reply. If our family ever vacationed in San Diego again we will be certain to stay here.

Amazing!

It was my first time getting a VRBO, and I was a bit nervous about it, but they made it such a natural process. I felt welcomed at all times and communication was outstanding. I had flight issues, and they were extremely helpful, and I forgot to pack a couple of important things in the house, I was able to contact them, and they mailed them out that same night. I am very impressed with their customer service. I am planning to go back!

Lovely back veranda with nice view. Each bedroom has its own wall A/C. Adequately appointed kitchen. Parking can be an issue in the evening as there is no off-street parking available.

Cute and Quiet Spot in the City

Checkin was easy, and we had a relaxing time at the property. Only issue was parking! Parking was a nightmare..oh and the city gave me a citation for parking when there was street sweeping. Besides the parking issues, everything was perfect. Neighbors were polite, and nothing wierd going on at night. We felt safe. Home was small and cute with everything we needed. No regrets!

Enjoyed 3 nights at this cute little place with our 5 grown kids. Plenty of room for us. One bathroom was a little bit challenging, but we made it work. Nice big table for eating and games. Kitchen was adequately stocked. Location was close to many unique restaurants (try Micho's Lebanese food!). Communication was great with Doreen.

Enjoy a good nights rest in comfortable beds and I'm sure the kids will enjoy the bunk bed too!

San Diego downtown is just a 5 minute drive away and balboa park and the Zoo is 2-3 minutes away.

Headed to the beach? Its only 8 minutes away and I can supply you with beach chairs umbrella as well! And for my adventurous guests, I also keep a couple surfboards on hand!
