"Old school Hawaii in a fantastic location. Though not a swimming beach right out front we found a wonderful spot just around the point to the west. Great snorkeling and swimming. Very quiet area and the restaurant on site was very good. Even got a beach side massage at the Hanalei Day spa on the property. Condo was a little hot with no AC but the fans and cross breeze made it just fine. Slept great on the comfy bed. Would love to stay again in the future. Very relaxing stay"

"Hanalei Colony Resort is like a step back in time. Its not fancy but all you need. The location cant be beat and we love the lush scenery and old Hawaii vibe of Hanalei. Sounds of the ocean as you sleep and a touch of tropical rain almost every day. Restaurant on site is worn but food was good and service great! Get the poke nachos! Best Mai Tai on the island!"

"Cozy little place. It’s a bit dated but doesn’t matter as its well equipped and has amazing ocean front location. Everything you need but no TV which was actually cool as we preferred to watch the ocean anyway!"

"We enjoyed our stay very much. Condo is clean and well-equipped. Primary bed is comfortable. We loved that you can see both the ocean and the mountains from the unit. The grounds are very nice. One caution for those not familiar with the area - the location is outstandiing, but the listing seems to imply that the unit is on Tunnels Beach - it is not. Tunnels is about a mile away, which you can reach by walking on the road or on the beach."
