About Vacasa, CA - Lake Tahoe Office

Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.

Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.

Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!

Perfect hide away

  • 5 of 5

My family stayed the weekend here and we will definitely come back. Traveling with kids is hard enough. So staying in a fully furnished house, allowed us the privacy to hang out and relax together.

Family ski weekend

  • 5 of 5

We had 8 adults and 2 children staying in the house. It worked very well for us with four bedrooms and 3 baths. The house is very clean and appliances, kitchen, bathroom all seemed newly remodeled. The carpets were new and clean as well. We had a great time playing in the snow around the house, even with a little sled slope on the side. We were all comfortable and enjoyed the time there.

Charming Cabin in convenient location

  • 4 of 5

We enjoyed spending the week between Christmas and New Year's Day here. The cabin is 5 minutes from Homewood, 15 minutes from Alpine/Squaw, and very close to the lake. The cabin itself is fine; the furnishings are dated, to be sure, and there's no DVD player, but it has everything you'll need and the hot tub is great. There's also a nice forested area out the back.

Charming cabin in convenient location

  • 4 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay at this cabin. It was as advertises. However, there was no DVD player and that was a bummer. Having gas and charcoal grills made up for it though. Very close to Homewood and close enough to Squaw and Alpine.

Nice Tahoe Getaway!!

  • 4 of 5

The Ward Creek house served us very well for our Thanksgiving family weekend. The house is very stocked with dishes, pots, pans, appliances, etc. The location is very convenient, but also out of the way enough to be quiet. The house backs into the Tahoe Conservation Area Lands, which is a nice piece of privacy. Also, the Tahoe Rim Trail is very close. The house states parking for 4 cars only. We had only 3, so believe the write up. Four is MAX, especially once there is snow on the ground. You will need AWD or 4WD during snow season (as the write-up states). The house is very comfortable, and newer than some of the surrounding cabins. The bathrooms are all very updated and nice. I'll state a few cons, so you won't think I work for Vacasa...Most of the bed coverings are cheaper than a Kmart special. No reason for this, when TJ Max exists. One bed should be replaced, thin and soft. Again, no this is in-congruent with the era of the house and quality of the construction. A recycling bin would be appreciated...OK now I'm whining. Have a great time!!

A Beautiful Home in Tahoe

  • 5 of 5

The home was delightful! At about 3/4 mile away from Lake Tahoe, the cabin had the delights of the woods but a short stroll down to the lake. The home was absolutely great for our group of friends for our weekend vacation. The hot tub, large deck, grill, and beautiful kitchen added to the great experience. Everything was comfortable and cozy! Only flaw was that there was not really any cleaning supplies available. While there was enough dish soap, dishwasher pods, and some laundry pods - I wish there was a general spray cleaner so that we could be extra clean throughout the weekend. Just a minor flaw, but nothing a quick trip to the store didn't fix. Overall, I would highly recommend this property for anyone wanting to get a true Tahoe experience.
