Why the Owner Chose The Palms at Wailea
On a lark, we decided to look at some open houses on our last couple of days in Maui. We we're looking at a few condos in Kihei, but weren't too impressed. During one open house, the realtor told us of another condo they had listed for the same price as the one we were viewing in Kihei. We had driven by the Palms a few times, but didn't know much about them.
When we drove in, we were blown away by the beautifully landscaped grounds. Our future condo is up on the second floor. As soon as we entered and saw the view of the Ocean from our living room, we knew we were on to something good! We loved the sunken living room and dining room, the two large lanais, and the master bedroom suite. It was so spacious and cool.
The Unique Benefits at this Condominium
We love being a short walk from the beach, without actually being on the beach. We can walk down to the beach for the sunset, or drink a toast on our entry porch as we watch the sunset.
Our condo is open and airy, not crowded in to a huge complex. The pool and clubhouse are close. Most of all, we love the feeling of truly "getting away from it all". Maui isn't as built up as Oahu, but there's more to do than on Lana'i or Moloka'i. Our location is close to shops, restaurants, golfing, and all the ocean activities you could want. And the beaches are free! No vendors trying to sell you something every two minutes. Our only problem is we can't get to Maui as much as we'd like.
Just a sort walk down the hill, Keawakapu Beach (pronounced "Ki-a-va-ka-pu") is great for swimming a family fun!. The are parking lots at the bottom Kilohana Drive and at the end of S.Kihei Road. Pack
Owner's Map of The Palms at Wailea
LInda and I took our first trip to Hawaii in April 2006. I was hesitant to go because of the long flight - 9 hours direct from Chicago to Maui. How much better could Hawaii be than Acapulco, Cozumel or the Bahamas? A LOT!
The moment we got off the plane in Maui, we knew this was going to be different. We stayed at the Marriott Renaissance in Wailea, then took the ferry to Moloka'i and stayed at the Moloka'i Ranch. After Moloka'i, we flew to Honolulu and stayed in Waikiki Beach. Since we had to return to Maui for the return flight, we checked out out early and spent a few more days in Maui before we had to return home.
