Grand Rapids has much to offer and so does Lake Michigan but you have it all on this water front home on 2 lakes with 40 inch fish and watersports on your dock!
The Roberts Resort is a beautifully waterfall landscaped lakeside resort/cottage that is more than a great place to relax and has excellent lake access for all sports fishing and family or friend gathering of larger groups or smaller groups. This not a cottage but a Resort, with brilliant blue metal roof this massive but elegant structure is jaw dropping. You will be able to look out over all the cottages from the fourth floor deck, as you sun bath as you wish! This lake front suite is excellent for fishing, canoeing, tubing, and swimming.
Your youngest of only 2 years old will be able to catch fish with a net if you drop bread into the water and take time to teach them.
The resort cottage also features a lakeside patio with a hammock to relax or play volleyball or horse shoes or polish horse shoes and later sing by the fire. Your choices are many available for evening or daytime relaxation or excitement.
We have Grills for BBQ on both ground and upper level, an excellent place to unwind or play all the games as a mini tournament for all guests to participate as teams. There are also many golf courses in the general vicinity, horse ranches, and a kids bounce party location.
The interior of the resort features 2 master bedrooms (upstairs levels four and three) they has a king-size beds, TV and master bath that is equipped with a jacuzzi that fills as the water drops from the ceiling, and steamer shower, to top it off this bathroom has a fireplace. There are three other bedrooms and one other full bath / the lower level has 2 bedrooms and full bath and one couch bed. The third level also has the hot tub on deck lakeside.
The main floor living room has a wrap around couch that seats a dozen or so and the kitchen food bar is set up to seat 6 - 8 people alone. This open floor plan allows a small group of 18 - 28 to all eat in comfort for the main meal, as you watch a slide show of the last years trip or past days events on a 42 inch plasma located just above a gas fireplace or even higher above the plasma a projection screen 96 inches approximately. This main floor has any light scheme you can imagine, with fully loaded surround sound set up for 7.2 system in ceilings and walls.
The resort has 2 heat/ac systems that keep you comfortable on any one of the four levels. You are set up with cable TV, VCR, DVD player, and stereo and are fully furnished and some levels have all the movie channels.
There are only two more levels to explain. The lower level is fully functional as a separate unit. Lakeside you have a kitchen and deck under the other deck and sandbox under the step landing. The Plasma television with wrap around couch/bed, full bath and 2 bedrooms in front of the game room with a pool table and sound proof room.
The last level is the 4th floor located above the house has a deck to view for miles. The forts lead through tunnels back to the bedrooms below. This the 2nd master bedroom with private deck and king size bed setting in front of the fireplace located next to and a 3/4 kitchen that sets aside a 1/2 bath. Step throughout the resort are all carpeted and are all only half-length of a full run for safety of children.
Laundry this unit has a center located on the 3rd and 1st floor, and one in the lower lake level. Many other things to mention like an intercom throughout the house and iron wall mount, the waterfall and landscaping, massive amounts of glass on decks and view of the 4th floor from the main floor.
Game room tiki bar game room with the mirror ball light show and pool table room on Lake level to include stereo, television, fooze ball, darts, pool table, ping pong, and bar area...for the gamers.
The Heavens of Campau is located on Campau Lakes West side just across from the public access. The resort has an added spot across the street for off street parking and is located on a dead end for lack of not wanted traffic, although you get a few drive by just to see this structure. Built in 2004 in less than one year, designed by Mr and Mrs Roberts as their Michigan resort.

It was an awesome house for a big group! There was a lot of communal space for dining and lounging, plenty of beds for many guests, and a game room for all ages. On top of that, there was a lot of kitchen space, and a great yard for outdoor activities.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway.

This property was above and beyond what I expected. The inside was very spacious and accommodated my large group very easily. The main floor common area was very nice, with 2 tvs, a projector, a dining table that could sit at least 25, and a very nice kitchen. The downstairs was equally nice, with adequate seating and a separate "bar room" complete with fooseball, pool table, and tv. The house was extremely clean and everything was very well maintained. Everything was in very good condition, and I experienced no problems with anything working. The owner and his representative were more than willing to address any questions I had before, during, and after my stay and always responded in a timely manner. I would certainly recommend this property to anyone looking for somewhere to take a medium to large size group, and will keep it in mind for myself in the future.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

We had the best family reunion ever! I would highly recommend it to anyone who would like a nice get away with all the comforts of home plus. It was very spacious, comfortable and clean. The kids loved the forts and the game room. The parents loved it that the kids had so much to do there. The lake was very nice, we had a great time water skiing and tubing behind our boat. My favorite attraction was the steam shower, it was a great way to wind down after a busy day. We will defintely plan on going back for next years get together :)Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway.

We found the house large enough to accomodate our family but to describe the property as luxury is not what I consider luxury maybe average. 2nd floor deck and kitchen area was great. The listing description and photos did not reflect the rental's appearance and amenities. Property is not being well maintained. I would not recommend this property if you plan on swimming at the property. I specifically asked the owner if we would be able to swim at the house and was assured we would be able to swim there. The water is full of lilly pads and the lake bottom was black muck (slimy mud). The neighbors I talked to said "you can't swim on this side of the lake". The paddle boat broke shortly after our arrival and my son-in-laws (both mechanics) assured me the paddle boat was WORN OUT long before we got there and the 15 minutes we used it did not cause the damage. When the owner was questioned about getting another paddleboat he told us we rented the house and the boats were just extra's. The rowboat was not useable and the registration on it was from 1971 and we could not find the orrs. St Louis review was correct. The linens are old and the red sheet set has holes in the fitted sheet. Some of the mattress covers are ripped. Bath towels, hand towels and wash clothes were not supplied in adequate amounts for our family. Cooking vessels needs to be inventoried and some of them thrown away and replaced. I paid extra for the "garage toys" which included bicyles but we did not get the bicycles until Monday evening when the owner came over to check on the hot water heater because it had broken. It was repaired in adequate time. The volleyball set we used was my 7 year old grandson's birthday present that he had brought with him. The family spent about $1,000 more than budgeted because we could not swim at the house and we had to find other things to do. I understand rental property does get abused but not all renters abuse the property and the owners have to plan and maintain the property. If photo's and descriptions show blue water, paddleboat and rowboat then you assume those are the things included in the rental package. Don't you think some sort of refund should be done since swimming was not available as promised? We had a good time in spite of not being able to swim at the property as promised.Owner response: We have a very nice place, and staff cleaner"Kathy" and maintenance person "Dan" and not just them but the owners that care.....and take time to make sure your stay is what you expect.... if not we will attend to your needs asap..... Remember everyone is not always happy rule ..The water was low this year Mother Nature can be blamed for that and yes there are some lilly pads are on both sides of the area but a clear path exits to go in and out with plenty of lake to swim however if you go out to deep you will find muck in every lake....Upon report of a issue with the broken paddle Dan reported within the hour to give a synopsis and said he seen them using it and dreding through lilly pads as opposed to normal use.....I then however I took time to drive over a hour one way....myself to pick up parts to fix the paddle boat. However when I confonted them myself with why the bolt broke they denied the abuse of the boat...therefore I decided to fix it after they have left and have added another paddle boat to upgrade. The paddles for row boat were lost and I bought 2 more for to have a back up pair...The Hot water heater was fixed the same day it was reported by nearby maintenance man "Dan the Man" I was not willing to give that amount of money back as the items are free for use we charge for a place to stay we do not rent row boats and missing paddles are hard to track and the water heater was fixed ..under the agreement for malfunctions. They did forget to say that I had a on call person just 5 doors away "Dan" that was there on the door step to rectify any issues they had immediately and I will stand by that. If you show up to any of my properties I have a cleaner and maintenance person that will be there within reasonable time to fix any issues. So if your looking for a nice place that has a caring owner that will drop his plans (my golf league) to get things fixed sooner than normal this is your place. Remember its a rental and things will get lost or stolen-- like paddles to the row boat however we replace them asap and things will break (however we will have someone there that day to fix repair.. Now with the waterfront being we had a major drought this year the water is low but still usable as when I arrived there were several on floating rafts...... Thank you the Caring owners..

Not sure how, in good conscience, this can be advertised as luxurious or "heaven"? All the beds were so uncomfortable and old it was hard to get a good night sleep, one was even broken upon arrival. The "sleeps 32" needs to be revised to a realistic number or adult/children sleep comparison, as there is no way adults would want to sleep in the coffin like homemade bunk beds in 1 of the rooms (with mural on the wall) and I'm pretty sure those were not code to have a set up like that. Most of the sheets were old and the mattress covers even older, one was actually taped together. The "convertible bed" on level 1 could not be slept on as there was really nothing secure holding the mattress on it, as I went to make it I fell through because there were only about 2 springs on that edge, a string holding together another edge and so on. Kitchen was a nice size with a decent amount of cooking utensils, but if you are going to advertise it sleeps 32 then maybe you should at least have 32 forks, knives & spoons. The coffee pot looked like it was from 1970 and the dishwasher handle was broken to get it open. The pool table was slanted so playing an actual fair game of pool was not possible but this is advertised as a feature along with fooze ball and ping pong, didn't see a ping pong table and the fooze ball was missing parts and also slanted. Then there was the lake, someone needs to dredge the muck so swimming is possible from the "beach". The kayak's were good along with the paddle boat and all were enjoyable but the row boat needs to be removed so no one tries to use it as it takes on water very quickly. There is a kiddie slide attached to the docks that either should be cleaned or removed as it's growing some sort of nasty science experiment. The tiki hut outside should be removed before someone actually tries to use it and gets hurt as it's in poor shape and not sturdy. It's really very sad, this would be a great property if someone invested a little money & time into fixing it and making a proper rental. It was very clean but the photos & videos on the site are misleading & old, the angle of the house from the "beach" makes it look like there is quite an large sandy area when there really isn't. All in all, my family had a good time because we were together but I can guarantee we won't be returning.Owner response: I am not sure how one can make so many complaints about a place and still want to stay past check out time.....The next group was very upset that this group did not leave on time and did not leave as expected. This was very upsetting to the next group that actually loves this place other than the issue about have to have the cleaner wait for them to leave. I am very concerned about any issues and will have the reasonable complaints taken care of as you can read into this complaint I am not sure that you can take ones judgment on the levelness of a pool table, or fooze ball game. Some times you just cannot please everyone and we have been renting this amazing place for 6 years and never had a complaint like this. I imagine that it was due to the fact they received a question regarding the extended stay as we do have billable privelages for such disregard for departure time rules I am very sure this was do to the potential request for money pending the outcome of the cleaning service billing for extra staff to cleanup with time left due to the late check out. This place has been advertised to sleep 32 and we have added more beds to accommodate now 38 with the addition of a kids fort and another bedroom. So rethink this review and take it for what its worth form the point of you cannot please everyone all the time but we will surely try however we will not allow people to check out late and will charge for late check out and cleaning as every rental manager should.. Thank you

Amazing family fun for every one Rate : We had an amazing time at this beautiful home!My Husband and I got married and then had our wedding celebration at the house. It was a celebration with close friends and family and I found the house suited everone from the kids to the older family members. The kids had a blast in the tunnel,the grandparents were watching the football games,and we were having a great time in the game/casino/bar area! I am so glad we chose this house for our special day! TERRIFIC A++++++ Rate : We stayed here for a week and LOVED it! With 6 adults and 15 kids ranging in age from 8 to 15, we were a little concerned about the accommodations being crowded. Not a bit! The entire house was like a small castle! We had plenty of room and had a wonderful time here. I would reccomend this to ANYONE! Nice layout on this place Rate :10 We loved this house/ mansion/ resort????? What was it.....Perfect We had room for us and the kids seemed to be lost but when we looked out the windows we could see them all the time they had fun...... The wii game is a rush my first time....bowling and baseball were the favorites the Karaoke ??? I suck... The Ping pong I welll need work and I love pool table fun! well we never had enough time to do it all so Iwill save the darts and fooze ball for later but the lake was perfect I brought a sea doo and my father in law a pontoon boat.. About the owner: Hi. Our names are Frank and Cheryl Roberts:) We have been married for 8 years and have a young family. I am a 'stay at home' mom and Frank operates a transportation company for the past 24 years and manages several rental properties. We enjoy family time together, boating, fishing, reading, golfing and teaching our boys as much as we can every day along the way. We both grew up in the area and decided to stay to be close to family and longtime friends.
Why the Owner Chose Grand Rapids:
We designed and built this home in 2005. Because of it's size, convenient location and beautiful lakefront, we had several requests from friends of friends asking if they could rent it for their family vacation. We decided to give it a try. We had a great experience and met many great people. We decided that we'd continue to rent it as a vacation rental and listed it. We've booked up every summer ever since. We enjoy reading the journal notes left from each group describing the things they did while they stayed.
The Unique Benefits at this Lodge:
I think one of my very favorite features of the property is, of course, the open floor plan allows for everyone to be in one room 25 plus is very comfortable and have the beautiful lake view. I also love the spacious layout of the house. The steamer shower is the best way I know to wind down before the days end. We enjoy riding bikes around the lake and dining in some of the nearby restaurants. The television and projection screen are set up with awesome surround sound, a great way to snuggle down with popcorn and the family to spend some special time 'doing nothing' with the kids. The sandy beach is one of the kids favorite places to hang out, and they really enjoy catching fish off the dock. Frank's favorite place is cooking in the kitchen while entertaining some friends. The kitchen is very large and it is connected to the dining and living room. It's a great way to cook and be able to socialize with all our guests. Oh yeah, I really love the laundry center too. I know that sounds crazy, but it's huge and very organized. With your family and friends you will find so many things to do, with the hot tub, game room, fish (huge muske in the lake) and the private setting no homes accross the road and fun on the lake you need to see the videos of this place its ausome.
