We had a great time at the house. Loved walking to The Red Bar. The beach was seconds away! The house is unique and fun! More spacious than I realized. We loved the outdoor living room. The pool area and bar was a gas. We had nine people and had plenty of room. As a vacation rental owner myself, I can not say enough about our stay at Edyland! Thank you, we want to rent it again next year!!

We stayed at Eddyland in April of 2010. 10 other families had rented condos in Fort Okaloosa Island, about 45 minutes to the west, but we had no interest in high rises or strip malls, not to mention the traffic! Eddyland is a large very spacious house right on the main drag, great for people watching. We brought bikes and kayaks with us, so biked to the park, all around town, and over to Seaside, and kayaked in the lake and the ocean. Nice bike shop up in Blue Mountain Beach. The salt water pool, outside shower, and proximity to the beach is what sold me on this rental. The house itself is authentic beachy, so if you are looking for luxurious, this may not be your spot. It's a "put your feet up" kind of house, and if you drag in some sand, well, it will get swept up later. We however loved the uneven wood floors and fundy decor. The extra fridge was great to have, and the screen porch, yard and pool - wonderful. We loved the Red Bar, and caught a performance featuring drummer Jabo Starks, one of the two funkiest people on the planet! Marcia was available for anything we needed, and even Eddy himself made an appearance for the annual town meeting and picnic, which we were invited to attend! The town itself is charming and quirky, and we felt very safe letting our kids (11-16) bike around the town. The beach is the real attraction - beautiful sand - and if it's too windy, the kids can play in the warmer shallow waters of the lake, which empties into the ocean. Very cool. There is not a highrise to be seen along this stretch of beach, which is what brought us here. Sorry this took me so long to post, but we are now booking for spring break 2011.

I spent an amazing long weekend with my nearest and dearest friends at Eddieland and I am completely smitten with Grayton Beach and this property. The screened porch is divine and the backyard is secluded and beautiful. You never have to leave if that is your preference -- plenty of room, comfy sleeping areas for all tastes and a great bar area to concoct memorable libations. However, if you are so inclined walk out the front door and turn right and the beach, shopping and dining options are just a short walk away. I definitely plan to visit again -- I'm smiling just thinking about it.

I visited Eddyland with several girl friends. The home is so comfortable and several people can stay there without feeling crowded. You feel so at ease there and enjoy the screened in back poarch, the pool in the back yard and of course the beach. I cannot count the number of hours all of us spent on the back poarch. I enjoyed the whole trip visiting with the girls, but the back poarch was some of my favorite time there. Can't wait to go back again.

This place is the best kept secret in Fl. It reminds me of the beach when I was a child- no traffic, crowds and beautiful beach front. The house is like a big country house at the beach. You can walk everywhere you need to go. What more could you ask for!

We just love Eddyland! The rooms are all decorated so differently--each has its own theme. The first time we went there we had a contest to see how many flamingoes we counted in the house. We all came up with a different number. The home is spacious and relaxing. You can walk to the beach--which is very uncrowded. We also enjoyed walking to the little town and especially had fun at night going to The Red Bar--which is in walking distance too! What a great place in a great little secluded area of the gulf. I highly recommend it.

We had the most relaxing vacation ever at Eddyland. This house has everything and is so quiet and peaceful. Beautiful backyard, great pool, shady and cool screened porch. Plenty of room for group of friends to spread out. This is our most-favorite beach house ever!

Kick back and relax!! I stayed at this house with a group of friends and felt totally at home. Very short walk to the beach and the Red Bar! It is a fun, colorful, laid back atmosphere that makes you feel so "on vacation". The screened in porch and pool are the best! You can spend hours on the deck in very comfortable furniture with ceiling fans and TV. I could have slept out there. You should hope for rain at least one day. TIN ROOF!!!! I would rate this house an 5 star....five artsy, funky, fun stars!! Great place. Family friendly. Great get away for a bunch of crazy women!

This is the perfect place to rejuvenate and recharge. Totally family friendly with everything you could possibly need, we all 3 felt at home from the minute we walked in the front door! Personally, I could have spent the entire time just relaxing on the back porch. The back yard is fenced so my son could run around and play while my husband and I relaxed by the pool. Eddyland just might be our favorite place to unwind.

Wow ! What a wonderful vacation home you have. My friend and I enjoyed our stay so much. I must say that everything is exactly as you described and more! My friend and I visited in October and enjoyed sitting on the screened in porch so much.Your pool is so pretty. I would also like to mention the bedrooms!! They are decorated so nicely. Before my trip I loved the pictures but the pictures are not as pretty as seeing them in person. We also enjoyed the spacious kitchen and living room. I just wanted to write to tell you how very much we enjoyed our trip to the beach. It was important to be able to be within walking distance of the beach. Also we were able to walk to some wonderful restaurants located nearby which was a wonderful surprise for us. Thank you so much. We will be visiting again this year,(08),and I will also let my friends know what a great place Eddyland is in Grayton Beach!Sandra Owens
