Leland Michigan Harborfront. This new home/condo is prime, with decks overlooking historic Fishtown, Lake Michigan and incredible sunsets. Two sandy Lake Michigan public access beaches and Leland Harbor are located just steps away. Enjoy the quaint village of Leland picturesquely nestled on the Leelanau peninsula and all it has to offer: Shopping, antiquing, casual and fine dining, wineries and countless activities! This is one of Michigan's postcard locations.
This property faces west and is family friendly. It consists of two units (upper and lower levels), which can be rented together or separately. There are a total of 4 bedrooms (3 queen beds 2 twin beds), 2 sofa beds and 2.5 baths. The house has a contemporary beach house feel to it. Each level has its own gourmet stainless kitchen and laundry area. The upper level features a master suite with slate shower and double sinks recessed in granite and a sleeping loft with two twin beds in the finished attic. A full volume cedar ceiling, hardwood floors and a gas fireplace in the living/dining area, opening to a large covered deck overlooking Fishtown, Leland Harbor, Lake Michigan and the Manitou Islands complete this level. The lower level features 2 bedrooms, each with a queen bed, a slate tiled bathroom, hardwood floors, a very roomy living/dining area, full kitchen and a private covered porch with a direct view of Leland Harbor and Lake Michigan. Cable TV, stereo with iPod dock and high-speed wireless Internet in each unit.
We are fortunate to be located near State and National parks with all their many amenities, including a national treasure - the Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore with its sandy dunes flowing into Lake Michigan. Historic Traverse City with regional Cherry Capitol Airport is about 25 miles away, while the wonderful villages of Glen Arbor, Northport, Empire, Suttons Bay, Lake Leelanau and Frankfort are only a short distance through national parks, allowing for a beautiful and memorable drive or bike.

We had a wonderful stay! Unit is centrally located in town, a short walk to shops, dining and all the water fun that you could want. Our kids especially liked the Ice cream shop and the "dam" candy store! Look forward to returning next summer!!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with young children.

About the owner: We have been coming up to Leland for over 30 years. Nothing compares to driving up north, taking the final curves on M-22 along Lake Leelanau, and feeling suddenly at peace as you enter the village of Leland.
