Mid 2010, our Luxury Night Heron Park Cottage on Summer Duck Way was upgraded to a PREMIER home after renovation, which includes all new furnishings with 4 HD televisions of which 3 are hanging flat screens.
The Cottage is conveniently located for families looking to be close to the Kiawah Island activities and the beach. These individual home cottages are located in a quiet, beautiful area surrounded by moss covered live oaks and palmetto trees. You will find an easy walk to the nature center, beach areas, and many of the other island amenities or enjoy the many bike trails....too many to cover them all in a week's time! Try riding on the beach at low tide! The island has many deer and birds to observe. Take a morning walk to the beach and view the sunrise or experience the sunset in the evening. You have exclusive Resort Privileges enjoying golf, pools, tennis and much much more.
Our beautiful 3 bedroom/2 bath cottage is warm and inviting. This modern home, yours during your visit, will provide you with comfort finding everything you will need for a wonderful vacation. With new appliances and a fully stocked kitchen, you have the choice of dining in or out on the screened porch viewing the outdoors. The cottage floor plan is open and bright. Wireless Internet is provided.
Our home's ideal East Beach location is adjacent to the the Night Heron Park complex, complete with pool, soccer field, basketball court and nature center. In addition, the park is the hub for all the activities on the island -- all just a few steps away. Just a few minute walk away (400 yards) is the ten-mile BEACH along the Atlantic Ocean.

Kiawah is a secure family friendly island with activities for all ages. We spend lots of time on the beach, love to ride bikes, fish and crab.... Usually get in to Charleston for one night without the kids.

We particularly like the closeness to both the beach and Night Heron Park. Its also in a great central location for bike riding and its easy to make that quick trip for groceries at Newton Farms.

My wife and I have twins girls age 13 and a boy age 9. Have been going to Kiawah for over 20 years and absolutely love the place. Our family enjoys the many bike trails on the Island as well as going to the Resort Pool at Night Heron Park. The beach is a short walk from the Cottage. We know you will enjoy it and welcome you to stay at our Cottage, which we have made comfortable for our visitors.

Outstanding in all respects - Great location, great space, great cottage and great rate!

We've been visiting Kiawah for over 5 years - historically renting villas and ventured out to a cottage last year. It was the best thing we could have done! Bar None! Normally renting a 2 - 3 bedroom villa with two children was (as we found out renting a cottage) was very restricting in terms of elbow room. This cottage is a great size and enabled us to invite friends down from Charleston for a visit with plenty of room to spare. The location is off the beaten path, but close enough (as is everythign) for the children to walk or ride over to the park / pool - and with resort amenities - you can't go wrong. And let me tell you - amenities are key - considering you can't swim in any pool or the ocean this time of year (unless you belong to some polar bear club) - so a heated pool is a necessity! Bottom line - you can't go wrong here - recently remodeled and the owners are great!
Recommended for:Girls getaway, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, tourists without a car, sightseeing, families with young children.
