Located in the city of Encinitas, you’ll be staying just 6.5 miles from LegoLand, 25 miles from Sea World, 30 Miles from downtown San Diego and the international airport, and just over 60 miles from the world famous Disneyland and Knott’s Berry Farm.
This large duplex is just a half a mile walk to the ocean and the owner’s have included everything you would need to enjoy your stay in a beach community from a surfboard to bicycles to beach chairs. Encinitas is quaint beach community known for its small town vibe while less than 30 minutes drive from downtown San Diego. My family enjoyed our stay at this property. It was a good place to relax after a hard day at the amusement parks. Centralized location made it ideal. Disneyland was only an hour away the Sunday we stayed. Lovely floor plan. Downstairs bedroom was more of an efficiency apartment. That was a bonus for combining two different groups that made up my family group. All of my concerns were met with respect and consideration before we were to arrive. I would highly reccommend this property and its managers for any future business. All of our expectations were exceeded!

We live in tbe Bay Area, and our son attends SDSU. He couldn't make it home for Thanksgiving, so we rented the Hillcrest home for the long weekend. It housed our 3 children and my husband and I perfectly. Even though we brought alot of our own staples, the home was totally equipped, down to coffee and teas. It was a perfect location for us and the bikes were a bonus for my husband and I while our 'young adults' were still sleeping! The location is ideal! Thank you!

My husband and I have been looking forward to our trip to San Diego for months. We love the city and get back there as often as we can. This time, however, we were lucky enough to stay at Ian & Christine’s place! We arrived late after a long flight from Boston, walked in through the front door and … Aaahhh. The spaciousness and home-like warmth made body and mind relax as if on cue. Every day of our stay revealed small and big evidence of love and thoughtfulness that Ian and Christine put into their place: from a wide selection of teas to the most comfortable bed outside of our house. It was a wonderful base from which to explore. We, as bird watchers, explored the nearby lagoons and beaches, the flower fields which were gorgeous in the spring, and the Torrey Pines park. The food in Encinitas is wonderful – we’ve tried a few places and they were all perfect! “La Especial Norte” is a restaurant that I went to 8 years ago when I was first in San Diego and make sure to visit on every trip back. It’s only a couple of minutes away! Yeah! As we inevitably forgot sunscreen, we also discovered a large selection of stores a short drive away – anything from Trader Joe’s to Starbucks. Next April, we have a conference in San Diego and are trying to figure out how to finagle a week of hanging out at Ian’s and Christine’s place again. What a gem! What a find!

This is a very luxurious vacation rental! I can't get over how tastefully it is decorated. even the fence and railings are chosen so that they show off the area very artistically. Someone sure has good taste in their selection of teas! this whole place is so spacious and relaxing. We'll be back for sure! - Nov 2009 PS. We stayed in this house last Aug. 15/09 for 4 nights. We had a wonderful time and your place is immaculate. My husband and I stayed on the downstairs bedroom and my cousins and his wife and their 2 year old in upstairs bedroom and my daughter on the other upstairs bedroom with the bunk beds to herself. She enjoyed her own bedroom. The place described exactly like it was mentioned on your website. The beach are close by and walking distance. You have a great awesome TV in the living room and one suggestion is, it needs to be eye level, it is hard to watch TV looking up, but otherwise everything in the house is great. Thank you and hopefully we could go back and visit your beautiful home.

A few weeks back we stayed at the property in Encinitas. It was everything promised and much more. The location to the Beach was great (about a minute or two drive or 10 minute walk) and easy access to the great shops and restaurants on 101. We loved having the beach cruiser bikes to ride and the edition of the boogie board and beach toys was great. The condo was very comfortable and had more supplies than we could have imagined. Access to Legoland and Sea World was exactly as stated in the property description. We would highly recommend this rental to anyone. I have no idea why anyone would rent a hotel when you can get rentals like this from Nancy's Vacation Rentals. To give perspective to future renters of this property here was our situation: My wife and I had the upstairs master bedroom and our two kids (4 and 8) had the upstairs bedroom with the bunk beds. Our friends (husband, wife, and toddler) had the main floor bedroom. Perfect size for 7.
