  My husband and I absolutely loved this place and would stay here again in a heartbeat! The owner, Bill, was a wonderful host…always pleasant and accommodating, yet never overbearing. He was around when we needed him and gave us our space and privacy at all other times. The apartment itself has all the amenities of home, is within walking distance of 2 great beaches, and is only a 3 mile drive along the coastline to downtown shops and restaurants. We cooked several meals on the grill and spent some time lounging by the in-ground pool in the lush backyard. We stayed in the top floor unit and the view was gorgeous! Oh, and let’s not forget about the price…what an incredible value for all that is included! Our vacation was truly relaxing because of this place…100% better than staying at a hotel.   We had a great time during our stay in Kona, 60 days of warm wonderful sunshine. The rental was well located, and convenient to White Sands Beach and Kahalu'u. We travelled all around the island, and the Kona side was definitely our favourite. This rental also has a nice sun deck and pool, which is great if you have youngsters with you. There is also a parking space out front. We spent most of our time snorkelling, and boogie boarding. We had an incredible time. You can also access Kona easily from this property. If we had a problem it was sorted out quickly and we are going to stay in the building in front of this one next year, which is owned by the same person.

  Unlike Ulrik L, we really enjoyed our stay in Bill's house end of June. Regarding the price (well, this is of interest for a lot of ppl), we believe that this is a very good value for such flat size fully furnished. Well there will be always people to complain about a knob or a curtain... this was not an issue to us even if we stayed in the same flat. Enjoy this convenient location and the architecture of the house, few minutes walk away from 2 nice beaches! You'll feel in Hawaii there, just entering the place. Note that Bill provided also a crib for our baby and accepts late check-out when possible (depending on house rental schedule)

  We stayed in the appartment on the top floor and found it pretty basic. This is a place that with some more care could be very nice but now....The shower knob was broken when we came, the in-sink erator didn't work and the blinds in the bedrooms where not working. The beds where creaking and unstable and the kitchen wasn't well-equipped with only 4 knifes and forks. The pool was marinated in chlorine and the sunbeds where half-broken. But the view from the balcony is very nice and it's a quit neighborhood. The location is good with a 10 minute walk to each of the beautiful White Sands beach and the great snorkeling beach of Kahaluu. With some more passion in the caretaking and better quality equipment this place could be closer to Heaven.

  My wife and I stayed on the top floor during our anniversary trip. The pictures of the property are accurate. This was a great location for beach access and water activities (snuba, snorkeling, paddle boarding, parsailing...). The breeze from the ocean keeps the floor relatively cool, especially at night, and there are ceiling fans throughout the home, so heat was not an issue for us. Kitchen fulfilled our needs and the home was clean. Most of the home is surrounded by sliding glass doors, which made for great views of the sunset and ocean. The pool was a great addition. A family was on the second floor for part of our stay and we heard them sparingly. The street and a nearby home could limit privacy. We would recommend this home, especially to those who want to spend a lot of time at the beach.

  Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

  Property was beautiful, stay was peaceful. Easy access, yet private. Well maintained. Would definitley recommend. As a matter of fact, a member of our wedding party wants to stay there when he comes back. Beds not super comfy, and could use air conditioning, lanai could use a good power wash. Other than that, a Great place to stay! Never got to meet Bill, but he was super nice on the phone. Maybe next time Bill! Aloha

  We stayed here 4 days... we enjoyed the spacious area of the 2nd floor and the large deck plus the pool. It's located .7 miles from the best place to snorkel at in Kona and only a few minutes from several good restaurants.

  Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.

  This was the last place we stayed on our 2 week Hawaiian vacation and it was a perfect ending spot! It ranked at the top of the list for the places we stayed on the islands. It was a great set up and my daughter was thrilled to have her pick of 3 different beds! She loved using the pool and was the only one in it while we were there. The house was in a great location, but offered lots of privacy. We were on the second floor and had the very large lanai. Bill was out of town when we were there, but he was great to deal with in setting up the stay and was very responsive when I called with questions. He also allowed us to stay longer on our last day at no additional cost. This was wonderful as we had a late in the day flight home. The house had everything we needed and was very comfortable. I would highly recommend this house to others. It's an amazing place for the price!

  I went here with 2 other people and will definitely go back some day. The place is perfect, has all the amenities you need and has a gigantic deck. There is always something to do on the big island and with a car you can get anywhere from this place. Magic sands is only a 5-10 min. walk and I would rate it one of the best beaches for snorkeling, boogie boarding and there is a volleyball. There is also another beach in the other direction where there is also very good snorkeling and surf board rentals. A cab ride to the bars and restaurants was only $15 with tip so it's not too bad. Bill was a good host. Greeted us on arrival and was always there if we needed something but at the same time left us to do our own thing. The kitchen is well equipped and the place was clean and well maintained. I would suggest if you rent a car to go up towards the volcano direction and stop to eat at Senor Billy's during happy hour. Half price appetizers and margarita's! Great food and for a good price. Thanks again Bill, till next time. Brian

  This place was fantastic!!! We stayed in the middle unit and it was enormous. The full kitchen was well appointed. Having full size laundry with supplied detergent was an added bonus. This unit is great for travelling with teenagers because the second bedroom was equipped with three single beds. Beaches are near by and so is fine dining. The pool was an added bonus and is beautifully landscaped. For the men there is a barbeque by the pool and the tank was always full. Great job Bill!!!
