  We had a wonderful time in Maui. This condo was exactly how it shows in the pictures and the view beautiful. Everything we needed was right there for the beach and kitchen. Also the washer and dryer in the unit was a great addition. There was room enough for our family of 4 adults and 3 young grandchildren. We will definitely be back, hopefully in the near future.

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children.

  OK, this was our first time to Maui. We have been to the big island and Oahu before and found Maui to be a lot quieter and laid back. Our normal holiday is Mexico for at least a few weeks and there is always something happening, not always good mind you!! The condo was great, Gayle was great, view was tremendous and it was everything that she advertised.It was within walking distance of a few shops and restaurants and close to Lahaina by car. All the amenities were there,a wine cooler even!. I have to be honest, Papakea is very quiet and there never seemed to be anything going on. A lot of elderly and sun worshippers. Nothing wrong with that, just a little boring. I can't say enough about the condo, it was great but if you want a little more activity, not really the right resort.

  Recommended for: Age 55+.

  We had a great time at Papakea. This condo worked out perfectly for the two of us. We loved being on the fourth floor-wonderful view. It was nice being within walking distance to Times Market and some nearby hotels and restaurants. We spoke to Gayle before committing. She was extremely helpful and so excited about the place that she loves so much. All the staff were helpful too.

  We had a fantastic time during our trip and this unit is part of it. The biggest positive is the location. The condo is located close to everything, particularly a supermarket and the fish market (fresh fish). Short drive to farmers markets, Napili bay, Kaanapali beach and Lahaina downtown. Next, the property is good value. Parking and internet covered in the price. The lawn instead of sand along the beach was a nice place to relax. If you want sand, you can walk to the adjacent properties. Next, the unit is one of the prime ones. The balcony has an amazing view of the beach and overlooks the pool. The pictures in this page are accurate. The unit's kitchen is well stocked with spices/condiments and basic cooking essentials, and also the utensils. The unit also has a copy of "Maui Revealed" book, highly recommended. We didn't read it until we got lost on finding the red sand beach. Here are some tips for a better stay: keep the vents in the master bedroom open, that helps with ventilating the unit. This unit and many similar units in this resort have a loft not a full second bedroom. During our trip, the loft area was warm even in the night, but there are plenty of floor fans to circulate air. So, make use of the sofabed in the living area. It is very comfortable and it is also closer to the window air conditioner. We arrived at the unit in the morning, even though the check-in time was 3:00pm. The owner was nice enough to let us move in early. There is also an on-site manager to take care of your needs but we didn't find any necessity. Overall, we were pretty happy with the unit and we will consider it again on our next stay.

  Totally enjoyed this wonderful condo. It had an unbelievable view of the ocean as well as one of the pools and a beautiful manicured and landscaped garden area. Accomodation was very well equipped, updated, comfortable, and exceptionally clean. Went to sleep each night listening to the waves crashing on shore. The resort had kind and helpful people especially the conciegere who helped us select wonderful side trips. The Pacific Whale Company for snorkling and the road to Hana were unforgettable. When we return to Maui this will indeed be my first choice. Thank you for sharing your fabulous condo.

  Would not hesitate to reccomend this unit and/or the Papakea resort.The owners have done a beautiful job in upgrading and furnishing their condo.Every possible thing you could want or need is included and the owners are super easy to work with .In addition,the staff at the Papakea are very helpful and maintain the pool and grounds in impecable condition. My wife and I are looking forward to returning again in the near future.

  Amazinggg condo! TOTALLY equipped with everything you need and never knew you needed! Great view of the gorgeous grounds and ocean. Very hospitable staff. There's really something for everyone! My boyfriend and I (25 years old) rented a car and would highly recommend it. 5 minute drive to the gorgeous and quaint town of Lahaina and Kaanapali beach - lots of fun and awesome snorkelling. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED TO EVERYONE AND ANYONE.

  Our family loved this condo!! Great location. Close to market. Spectacular view from Lanai. Everything you need is at condo. Updated recently with nice upgrades. Very comfortable and clean. Our daughters 15 and 18 yrs. loved the upstairs loft type bedroom with a full bathroom all to themselves. We would definetly stay there again when we visit Maui in the future. Owners were great and very attentive. Made it a joy to stay there!!
