  • Honeymoon in Belize

"My (now) wife and I just back from our honeymoon in Placencia and we're already hoping to get back as quickly as we can! Placencia is definitely off the beaten path and it will take a little extra traveling to get there, but it's well worth it. The people are wonderful, the food excellent and you have the flexibility to either take it easy or go on an adventure with a tour agency (we went up to the ATM cave with Pirate's Point Adventure Tours and Shane was excellent) or book through Francisco, who works at the condo and can help arrange most tours if you ask him. If you go fishing and decide to keep your catch, a place called The Shak has a "you hook it, we cook it" option - unfortunately we found out about that too late, so weren't able to take advantage of it. The condo itself was excellent. It's a bit large for only two people, but that didn't detract from our stay. Having the pool on site was also a big plus. The condo is at the very end of the peninsula, which makes it an ideal location if you want a quiet place to stay. You do have the option to rent a bike or golf cart to get to and from the main part of the village; we walked most of the time and didn't have any issues. (If you're looking got do some inland adventures, most tour agencies can arrange transportation. Yes, you will pay for it, but it is worth it.) It's maybe a 5-10 minute walk and, even during the hottest part of the day, it wasn't unbearable. We are very happy that we stayed here and would recommend this location to anyone else looking to visit Placencia."

  • Beautiful tropical beachside home away from home!

"If you are planning a trip to Placencia, you will want to stay in the Tree Top Villa, the pictures just do not do it justice. The villa is in a gated development a short distance (~2mi) from the airport and from the main town of Placencia (~2mi). When my husband and I decided to travel to Placencia, we contact the owner Kristi who was indispensable in helping us plan this part of our trip. She answered all of our questions about transportation, getting around, and had great local knowledge of the surrounding area. She was extremely responsive and helped make it a highlight of our trip. The villa itself offers everything from home but of course in a Caribbean setting. The first thing that we noticed upon entering the villa after being picked up by Aaron (who acts like a concierge for the villa), was the air conditioning. This may not sound like a big deal but I assure you that Belize can get “warm” and you too will appreciate not sweating for part of your trip. The villa had a wonderful layout with two balconies (one with an outdoor tub), wonderful furnishings and a large bedroom with dual headed shower in the bathroom. Although used minimally, we enjoyed the kitchen and especially appreciated the washer and dryer. As per the description of the villa’s amenities, you will also have use of bicycles and a double kayak, which we made use of while we were there. We took the kayak (via a short sandy path) to False Caye which took ~20-30 minutes to paddle to due to the choppy waves on the day that we went out. False Caye is comprised mainly of mangrove trees thus the name. We did some snorkeling on the backside of the Caye where there is a relatively protected bay. We were able to observe a variety of fish, starfish, a manatee, sting rays, and even a baby octopus. We used the bicycles to travel to Maya Beach where there are some local restaurants and markets. The trip is a flat journey on paved roads that took ~10-15 min. Add 5-10 min more for Placencia. Maya Beach is where you go to have a quiet dinner or pick up a few quick supplies and Placencia is where you may want to go if you want a little more adventure than that. We were warned that Placencia is “over run” by tourists and although there are some tourists in Placencia, and indeed the entire area is growing, it still has very much a local feel. There are a lot of good restaurants, bars, and don’t forget to go to Tutti Frutti for the world famous gelato- thanks Aaron. Placencia is a wonderful place t"

  • Lovely

"This vacation rental was lovely and Jackie and Eloy were very helpful and friendly. We felt very safe and the apartment was very clean, comfortable beds, nicely decorated and kitchen was well stocked. Eloy took us out snorkelling and fishing a couple times and cooked a fantastic lunch. The setting for lunch was very rustic, which added to this experience for us. Eloy was a fantastic fishing guide also. We would definitely stay at this place again if we came back to Belize. The local people are friendly helpful happy and we really enjoyed the people and their food is fantastic."

Belize Travel Tips

Belize Resorts Place You in the Middle of a Caribbean Paradise

Belize is the ideal Caribbean getaway for everyone, from the adventure-seeking nature-lover to the newlywed searching for a tropical paradise in which to spend time with their sweetie. Belize resorts have so much to offer visitors that the choices are virtually endless for exploring the surrounding natural wonders of the area.

Stay at Belize Resorts for a Relaxing Getaway

Whether you’re on your honeymoon or simply need to reconnect and relax, Belize beach rentals can be as central or secluded as you please. You can stay in the best Caribbean resorts located directly on the beach for plenty of fun in the sun, and take advantage of local spa and salon services for plenty of pampering too.

Explore the Surrounding Natural Wonders near Belize Beach Rentals

Belize resorts boast the local barrier reef that is the largest in the earth’s hemisphere for snorkeling and exploring opportunities. The Great Blue Hole is another popular attraction for diving and water activities.

Belize beach rentals also offer easy access to local rainforests full of tropical species not easily seen elsewhere. Caribbean resorts hold the promise of plenty of local cuisine made with local crops for an exciting twist on the ordinary.

Schedule a History Lesson during Your Stay at Caribbean Resorts

There are several Mayan ruins located within hiking distance of most Belize resorts. Some are fully accessible, and others are still hidden within the thick forests. Several Mayan temples are available for full exploration and climbing, and many tours will be scheduled near your Belize beach rentals.

Of course, you may also simply choose to visit the local museums and view the many artifacts that have been restored and put on display for the public. Staying in Caribbean resorts in Belize offers several options for learning about and exploring the ancient Mayan cultural remnants still in existence.
