  • Excellent!

"My family and I (husband, 12 yo boy, 9 yo girl) stayed at Cocoplum during April break and had a wonderful experience. This trip was our sixth to Cayman, but our first staying in both a VRBO and near 7 mile beach. We typically stay on the East End because we like the slower pace and quiet beaches. I was honestly a bit worried we would find ourselves in the middle of 7 mile beach hubbub, but that was not the case -- the spot was perfectly situated so we could jump into the fun of the 7 mile beach and Georgetown area quickly and easily, but we could retreat to the oasis at Cocoplum and enjoy the pool, the sandy beach, etc. The condo is beautifully appointed, with every detail considered -- we wanted for nothing. Cris was responsive, warm and welcoming during our booking process, and thoughtfully checked in on us while we were there. It was plenty big enough for a family of four, and we were able to easily settle in and felt at home quickly. The only issue (and this was minor) was that the upstairs neighbor is quite heavy-footed and there’s not a lot of insulation in the ceilings. Thankfully, we didn’t spend too much time in the unit so it didn’t impact our experience too much. IMHO this unit is really the best unit at Cocoplum. We were able to keep a close eye on our kids swimming in the pool while we lounged on the lanai and our view of the ocean was unobstructed. We also had direct access to the lawn area, where our kids enjoyed playing. We will definitely return if Cris will have us!"

  • Perfect location for a wonderful, chilled out holiday with fantastic snorkelling

"Just returned from 10 wonderful days at this property. After a long flight from the UK via Toronto and Grand Cayman we arrived at Cayman Brac airport, ready for a relaxing holiday with great snorkelling. This property and the island delivered on both. Having stayed in dozens of places across the world, this is one of the closest we have had to the sea, which also gives you privacy and great views across the water to Little Cayman. We had wonderful weather everyday, with mainly calm seas, so were in and out of the water all day. Although we checked out Radar Reef (nice nurse shark) and the public beach (nice sand with some waves), the snorkelling by the Barcadere was the best. Easy entry via the ladder, then off you go in any direction. We spent hours drifting all the way down the coast to the western end of the island, where you can then exit where the sand is and walk back.So much marine life of all sizes and colours; turtle, southern sting ray, yellow ray, small spotted eel, full range of fish including porcupine, trunk, trumpet, cow fish, all sizes of sea fans, lots of coral etc, etc. do take a torch and check out the rock pools by the house at night, you will see some amazing stuff and look at the stars! The house has everything you need and plenty of space in the large living room, the outside terrace and upstairs balcony, for sitting and looking at the views. The outside shower is really useful for rinsing off. Having the car provided was really helpful. We drove out to the lighthouse for a walk on the bluff and saw some young Boobies, and drove around the rest of the island to check it out. The small supermarkets are well stocked. We checked out the pioneer Bakery (nice cinammon buns), Barry's Jerk Chicken three times (do try the pork if he has cooked some, it was yummy), PoPos pizza by the airport, Star Island (good value local food), Captains Table (nice ribs) and Tipsy Turtle at the Brac Resort (nice sandy beach and hammocks). The whole vibe on the island is relaxed and friendly and we truly had the most chilled holiday we can remember, but still feeling active with all the snorkelling. There were very few other people at any of the places we went to, so you you have the place and the sea to yourself. It's a world away from Grand Cayman. Two local cats made the house their home for our ten days, including the black and white one mentioned in another review, enjoying the treats we gave them, so hope that continues. Next trip being planned!"

  • Whirlwind trip to Grand Cayman

"What caught my eye about this condo was the price and after looking at the pics yea lets go for it . We were not let down as the condo was everything and more. Nice to have a combination lock to the door and not having to worry about keys or cards. Great view from the lanai and just a nice resting spot after a day in the sun. The pool was awesome and the water temperature was just right, nice to stand in just to cool off. Went to the beach across the road as it was quiet and very few people. Thanks to Mitch for giving some restaurants we should try. Went to the Lighthouse, Over the Edge, Italian Kitchen, the beach restaurant at Rum Point, as well as Kaibo as we ate there twice, taking in the beach BBQ was great lots of food and great music. Overall the condo is awesome and would come back in a heart beat as we had to cut our trip short as we had a family emergency that turned our holiday into sadness. Anyone looking at this condo to book go for it as it is well worth the money. thanks for the memories and the enjoyable time in Grand Cayman and the weather was great only rained a couple times."

Cayman Islands Travel Tips

Cayman Island Rentals Are Bases to Discover Paradise

Discovered by Christopher Columbus in 1503, the Cayman Islands were originally named Las Tortugas after the numerous sea turtles there. The Cayman Islands are now ideal locations for today’s explorers. Cayman Islands rentals give independent travelers bases from which to discover the myriad of attractions on the Cayman Islands. Cayman Islands villas allow you to discover exciting activities at lovely Caribbean resorts.

Cayman Island Villas for Relaxation and Education

Seven Mile Beach is one of the Caribbean’s premier beaches. Located on Grand Cayman, it is easily accessible from all Cayman Island villas. South of Seven Mile Beach is Georgetown, the capital of the Cayman Islands and home to several Caribbean resorts. Located here is the Cayman Islands National Museum. There are more than 2,000 items portraying the natural, social, and cultural history of the Caymans. Take time away from your comfortable Cayman Islands rentals to visit the Cayman Turtle Farm. This is a fascinating excursion where you can see the work being carried out to bring back the population of endangered green sea turtles.

Explore Sea Life at Caribbean Resorts

No excursion from Caribbean resorts is complete without visiting Stingray City. Conveniently located close to Cayman Islands rentals, this attraction is where a large number of stingrays gather. It is believed that the fish come to the area because local fisherman used to clean and gut their catches here. Now visitors wade onto the waist-deep sandbar to pet and feed these amazing creatures. This will be an unforgettable experience to remember when you look back on your time in Cayman Islands villas.

Caribbean Resorts for World-renowned Diving on your Doorstep

Cayman Islands rentals offer the more adventurous some of the best scuba diving sites of all the Caribbean resorts. World-renowned sites such as Bloody Bay and Jackson's Bight are located on the north side of Little Cayman. Famous for its sheer cliff drop offs, it is definitely for the experienced diver. The spectacular natural beauty, activities, water sports and interesting places to visit from Cayman Islands villas makes the area the perfect vacation destination.
