Overview

About the property

Cabin, 1 Bedroom + Convertible bed(s), 1 Bath, (Sleeps 2-4)

This quaint cabin offers sleeping for 4. There is a Queen bed in the bedroom and the living room shuts off, to offer a second sleeping area on the La-Z-Boy SlumberAir double sofa bed.

Built in 1948, this cabin still maintains it's old Tahoe charm. The knotty pine walls, hardwood floors and cabinetry are all original. The bathroom, however, has been updated and has a stall shower and washer and dryer. The living room has a rock fireplace with a log mantle, 32' flatscreen TV with cable and DVD player, I-home radio/docking station, wireless internet, free national long distance phone calls, sofa sleeper, leather chair with ottoman, and of course, a bed for the dog. The kitchen is fully equipped with gas range, refrigerator, toaster, coffee maker, coffee grinder, espresso maker, blender, pots, pans, dishes, and utensils. There is a bistro table and four chairs. Outside, there is a charcoal barbecue, picnic table and patio chairs - weather permitting.

Relax and enjoy one of the quietest streets in Pineland. Sit on the porch and listen to Ward Creek, or stroll around the block and walk along it's shores. We also allow dogs - upon owner approval - and this large lot gives them plenty of room to run around.

This charming cabin is located approximately 2 miles south of Tahoe City, on Tahoe’s Magical West Shore. A ½ mile walk will take you to Sunnyside Resort or the beach. Just down the street, at the end of Ward, is Kilner Park offering tennis, volleyball and a playground area. Located in North Lake Tahoe, this cabin offers easy access to the bike path and mountain biking and hiking trails in summer, and a short drive to Alpine, Squaw Valley, and Homewood ski areas in winter.

Here's what some of our guests have had to say:

Loved your cozy cabin! Our boys had a ball as well as our dogs - we have rented many houses/cabins in LT in the past and by far this is one of our favorites.

------------

We came for the last days of snowboarding at Homewood, and the first days of spring hiking. Such good times!!! Your cabin sometimes made it a tough choice when to go out ... whenever we were inside the generous windows and vaulted ceiling seemed to bring the beauty inside as well.

----------------

Loved staying here! We had nothing short of a great time. Great little/quiant getaway to relax and write. Our dog was in heaven ... as we were. --------

Everytime we walked in the door, I was killed with pleasure at the sight of our sweet little temporary home. Thank You.

-------

Thank you so much for letting us stay in this cute, awesome, one of a kind cabin. This sure beats hotel rooms that are too impersonal. We will definitely return to enjoy more bike rides, the lakes and the creeks.

-----------

Your cabin was the perfect spot for a mother and daughter reunion.

----------

We were very comfortable in your charming cottage. It was a great family vacation & we can't wait until we can come again!

-------------

What more could a family want for a vacation spot in Tahoe? Thanks for making your cabin so comfortable and inviting.

--------

We loved the quaintness of the cabin and the quietness of the area. The location is fantastic and we definitely plan to come back.

Great spot for a couple and their dogs

  • 5 of 5

This cabin was terrific for us. It was just two of us and our two dogs. Although the cabin is small, it doesn't feel small - lots of windows and nicely laid out. The location is great - sits among the trees and is close to the lake and Ward Creek. Also would have been a short-ish walk to Sunnyside, but the snow kept us from doing that. On top of all this, it is a great value compared to most Tahoe houses - especially if you only need a small space. Cheers!

Owner's Response: Thanks Jon ... glad you liked it. And, the walk in the snow a month or so ago would have been hard to get around the block! Hope to have you back again soon!

Cozy convenient cabin, so close to the slopes!!

  • 5 of 5

We are a family of 3 that like to ski and this was just the perfect spot...minutes from Heavenly or traffic free travel to alpine (against incoming traffic from Hwy 80. We were lucky to be there just after a storm and the roads were cleared promptly so we were able to enjoy the slopes with all the fresh snow. The cabin had all of the comforts of home and more...a roaring fire, fully equipped kitchen and comfortable bed & sofa. We would stay here again and again!!

Charming Tahoe Cabin

  • 5 of 5

Despite the fact that there was atleast 6+ feet of snow engulfing the entire neighborhood and Tahoe City, the management company made sure there was more than adequate accessibility to the cabin. The driveway was clear and plowed and so was the entrance to the cabin. This being my first time at the cabin and Tahoe City, I was very much thrilled and satisfied with the accommodations and its access to my 10 day ski vacation to Alpine Meadows/ Squaw Valley. The cabin is just as the photos depict, a true Tahoe cabin with wood burning fire place, a full and efficient kitchen, cozy bedroom and warm and inviting living room. The furnace is more than adequate on those cold nights and the fire place just adds to the ambiance, a perfect get away for one to four people. This cabin exudes charm, warmth and coziness. It's quiet and only 10 minutes to Alpine Meadows/Squaw Valley as well as Homewood Ski Resort. There is a wonderful grocery store and eateries within 5 minutes of the cabin in Tahoe City. I rate this cabin and the management company and owners who pay attention to all the details that makes for a very comfortable stay 5 stars and I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it...you won't be disappointed!

The property was just like it was listed. It felt just like home!

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay here. I was 8 months pregnant when I, my husband and our dog stayed here. I felt so comfortable. Extremely welcoming for our 4 legged friend Gypsy. Didn't feel like we had to worry about her being there at all. Had a welcoming dog bed and all. Super peaceful and quiet. Just what we needed from the hustle and bustle of Tahoe's busy season!. Close to dog friendly beaches and shopping. We would absolutely stay here in the future. So nice to have a washer and dryer and full kitchen after a long day out having fun. Way better then a hotel any day! Also plenty of room for another couple. We would love to visit in winter next time with our dog and now with our son too!. Thank you for the memories!.

P.S...I would however ask for the lock box number. I accidentally locked us all out one night. Oops!..All part of our memories!!

Lovely cabin!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I had an awesome stay here at the cabin! It was exactly as pictured. When we weren't out exploring the area such as hikes or local shops and food, which happens to be quite close we enjoyed time watching tv in the living room next to the warm fireplace! We created our wintery pregnancy announcement right outside of the cabin with writing in the snow, pine cones and pine needles! We wish it had snowed a bit more, but we did get snowfall on our last full day there! We would love to come back again during the winter and summer! Wendy got back to us right away if we had any questions. We highly recommend this cabin!
