This charming beach house is located on a 2/3 acre lot, in a quiet neighborhood adjacent to Saquatucket Harbor. It is an easy walk (6 houses from ocean) to 3 southside beaches, overlooking Monomoy Island. A homemade ice cream store is located at the end of the street.

Ferry to Nantucket Island - a great daytrip - and fishing & nature boat trips are located at the end of the street, at Saquatucket Harbor. Golf available at nearby Cranberry Valley Golf Course.

Upstairs has two bedrooms, one with double bed, the other with a double bed and a twin bed, and a full bathroom. Downstairs has a master suite with one queen bed, a twin bed and a 3/4 bathroom (shower/no tub.), full sized kitchen, dining room (seats 8), living room with Cable TV, DVD, stereo, washer and dryer in powder room off kitchen, sunporch with picnic table, chairs, private backyard with patio, picnic tables, gas grille.

The bedrooms have all been recently renovated. This house is well-suited for families, who can walk and bike easily back and forth to beaches or the ice cream store, in a quiet, exclusive neighborhood.

Why phil chose Harwich Port

We bought this property because of the fact that it was in a quiet neighborhood with close proximity to three ocean beaches facing Nantucket Sound. Once you arrive at the beach house, you can walk to the beaches and a homemade ice cream shop. We wanted a place where our children and grandchildren could easily walk to the beach without having to pile into cars and fight for a parking spot at a crowded beach lot.

What makes this house unique

The most important benefit to this property is the easy walk to the beaches on a quiet street. Families with young children appreciate the short distance to the beaches. It is common to see parents with young ones in strollers or bicycles walking back and forth to the beach. Surf casting and fishing from the rock jetties is also a popular activity. The ice cream shop at the end of the street fast becomes almost a favorite daily activity for most visitors. The quiet and private backyard provides a great spot to play a little catch with the kids while waiting for the hot dogs to come off the gas grille.

The location can't be beat! A great home!

This home and location have so, so much to offer - it is spacious and clean with 3 bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths plus outdoor shower. It has a patio and large yard. The screened/windowed sunporch was our favorite room for meals where we experienced the ocean breezes. We loved the small beaches, especially the one that is private - part of the Saquatucket Bluffs exclusive area, both a very short walk from the home. We rented for 7 days starting July 23 rd, 2016. We hope we can return some day.

There is a reason our family has spent the past twenty summers in this house. With two bedrooms upstairs and a master and half bedroom downstairs, the house is big enough to comfortably sleep a large family without feeling crowded. The spacious kitchen and living room lead to a screened-in porch, one of the highlights of the house. With the windows open, this airy room catches every breeze coming off the ocean, is full of light throughout the day and comfortably cool in the evening.

The location alone is enough of a reason stay in this house. The beach at the end of this very quiet, residential street is less than a five minute walk away and perfect for families with children of all ages. School House Ice Cream is at the other end of the street.

We could not have found a more perfect location to spend our summers or a more perfect house to watch our children grow up in. We're looking forward to the next 20 years!
