You will truly enjoy our new lake house! It's nestled in the heart of the Smokies on secluded 3 acres of forest. From the site you can view Wolf Creek Lake and surrounding mountains of the Southern Appalachians. We just finished construction in May of 2009, and are excited to share this idyllic setting with friends, family and visitors.
One of our favorite aspects is the feeling of total tranquility that is present. There are no other adjacent homes and very little boat traffic. It's like having a lake all to yourselves! Plus, our grandkids love it. There's a spot for camping and a canoe and kayak for your use. Your paddling enjoyment will be a peaceful experience on Wolf Creek Lake with 5 boats for your use. The lake water is very clean and swimming is a must! You will also enjoy hiking around on the roads and trails surrounding the property and in cooler weather, coming back and snuggling next to our gas log fireplace. We have an ideal natural setting for your mountain getaway. Come rest and savor nature's wonders to your heart's content.
My husband and I are originally from Texas, but have lived in the North Carolina Mountains since 1981. We couldn't imagine living anywhere else, and now we have a dream lake house to enjoy and make available to others as well. For a truly enjoyable experience, we invite you to visit our mountain lake house.
The Owner purchased this cottage in 2009
We chose Wolf Lake because of the scenic mountain views and the fact that the mountain directly across from our property will never be developed. It's a National Forest, and will only be used for hiking and camping. We also live only 30 minutes away, and can drive up easily for a quick weekend get-away.
We enjoyed ourselves immensely! Ada had a wonderful 1st birthday and we will have a wonderful memory of that to cherish.

We loved the house. It felt like we were really staying in a home away from home. This house had everything we could think of and even the things we forgot to pack. Really an awesome place to stay.
After I shared with my family that I had just booked a house on the lake that had no internet, no wifi, and no cell service they were less than happy. But being the troopers they are and knowing how much each of us needed to recharge, they went excited to see if they could survive. WE SURVIVED! And made wonderful memories too. The lake is one of the cleanest I have ever seen! And private. We felt like we owned it! We made full use of the boats, brought our own floats and spent almost everyday on the water. The hill down to the lake is a bit challenging but I just kept reminding myself we were burning some of those extra vacation calories. The house was clean and the perfect size for our family of four but definitely could have fit more. We played games, kids played nicely together (that's something crazy for a 12 year old girl and 15 year old boy!) We went into Asheville one day and went to Asheville TreeTop Adventure Rope Course. Very fun and challenging. A black bear darted out in front of the car on the ride home from Asheville on the absolutely beautiful Blue Ridge Parkway that evening. That was uber fun for the kids - not so much for me - the driver! We had a fabulous time and got back to family basics - spending quality time with each other - with no interruption from the outside world! Thank you for sharing your wonderful home! And a shout out to Carol - she was amazing from the time we booked to checking in on us while we were there.
Clean and inviting. Property management is really easy to work with. Rafting and Zip Line companies 1 hour away for additional adventure. Use of canoe and kayak very convenient. During our stay there were very few people on the lake and we found the lake and the house very private. Great for family getaway or visit with friends. Tranquil and relaxing.
We spent a wonderful Easter vacation with family enjoying the comforts of the house, kayaking ,canoeing and fishing in the lake, hiking and exploring many local waterfalls. We loved it!
Blue Ridge Parkway is located nearby, easy access for road biking. Lakefront on Wolf Lake for swimming, fishing and paddling. Lots of hiking around park-like setting
