Honua Kai Beach Resort is a four star master-planned resort and the ONLY beachfront condominium built in the Kaanapali Resort area in OVER 25 years. Honua Kai currently has two condominium towers with 628 units. The names of the completed condominium towers at Honua Kai are Hokulani and Konea, which feature residences of impeccable luxury and comfort. Honua Kai is a blend of contemporary with traditional island overtones, incorporating the highly desired 'island way' of seamless outdoor living. Final Development Phase at Honua Kai: Luana

“We are now able to confirm our anticipated construction start date of February 5, 2018. At this time, we will commence with site mobilization and construct the dust fence and construction access points. We anticipate that this work will be complete by the end of February, at which time we will commence with construction of Luana.

We have made arrangements with TJ Gomes, our site work contractor, to keep the temporary Konea Surface lot open as long as possible in February, and we will enclose that area last. It will however have to be closed before we commence construction. (Which is end of FEB)

Thank you to everyone for your help and support over the past year or so, and we are looking forward to getting underway with Luana, the last phase of Honua Kai.”

"Maui Holiday advantage 2011"

We have just come back from the best holiday we have ever had - We could not have asked for a better accommodation then Honua Kai-Konea - Unit 539 - all was there at our finger tips - the most beautiful Kaanapali North Beach Ocean view from our unit seating out on the wrap around corner Lanai each morning for breakfast and late at night was wonderful.

We were in the swimming pools each day -

Lots of walks on the beach - great boardwalk all the way along to Wharlers shops

Dukes Restaurant was a stone throw away for a most enjoyable dinner - Our Son said their Gym was one of the best going he was there early each morning.

B-B-Q on the grounds was great also to have available

Championship golf courses were close and handy for us to go and play - Times Supermarket was just across the road for us to get our supplies

Lahaina town was great to drive and look around at all the shops

Went for a drive up to the top of Haleakala Crater - very windy roads but well worth it when we reach the top - Everything was in easy reach staying at Honua Kai

- I could not find one thing wrong with Honua Kai - We hope to come again one day - next time with our whole family to enjoy also

Fantastic unit! Perfectly represented in pictures

We had the pleasure of staying in Konea 539 this past week and absolutely loved our time there! The unit was beautiful, very clean, in great shape and very well stocked. The pictures attached to the listing really give a true representation of what you can expect when you walk in.

The rental company was easy to work with and left keys for us to pick up on our way into town. There were a few things that could have made our stay a bit easier which is why we didn't give a full five stars but is also why we're writing this review so the next renter has a heads up. When you arrive at the tower we had no idea what to do: drive to the front of the second tower (Konea) and go inside to pay for your parking for the duration of your stay. They will then give you a parking pass so you can get into the garage. Upon entry take a sharp right, park and head up that elevator as it is the closest to your room.

The other things that we had asked about were if there were chairs or any beach items in the unit. We were told they didn't know but there may be something. Well after renting a crib, beach chairs and an umbrella (which the rental company did a great job helping us get into the unit before we got there so big bonus), we did arrive to find a pack and play, two beach chairs, umbrella, beach toys and small cooler in the units closet. We understand that these things may come and go as renters do but maybe wait to see whats there as there was some stuff.

The view is amazing, the fold out bed was a normal not so comfy thin thing but I've slept on way worse. The kitchen had a great amount of pots, pans, cups and a few spices. Watch out for the birds though! With the two fold away walls which made for amazing ocean breezes we also got hit on both sides by sparrows attempting to access any food scraps they could find. They're bold (made it in the bedroom even) so don't leave for the pool with the doors open!

Overall we had an absolutely amazing trip. This location on the property was fantastic, location to access the island was great and the grounds of Honua Kai are breathtaking. We were incredibly comfortable here with four adults and two children (lots of families and new friends to meet in the pool), and would definitely come back and stay in this condo again! We thank the owners for sharing it with us and look forward to our next visit to Honua Kai!! Mahalo!
