135 miles of shoreline, over 20 islands, 2 public accessed islands (Moon and Bowman), and a community of residents and visitors who care and protect this spring-fed body of water make this one of the most beautiful places in the world.
This cottage is on the lake. Once you arrive you are set to enjoy a week of water activities without having to get back in your car; however, the cottage is located a mile from restaurants and the Holderness General Store if you need anything.
This cabin is an old camp in true New England manner. Very authentic and sitting right on the shores of Squam Lake which makes it ideal for water sports for the youngsters in your group. Our granddaughter's swimming improved hugely in the days she was there. The owners kindly provided linens for us as we came from California so it would have been a bit challenging to outfit the place for a week from afar. One thing to note is the proximity to the road so there is road noise. We had a good week exploring the area!
