We invite you to come stay at our Newly Remodeled Cottage. It has 3 BR and 2BA. Two queen beds and set of twin bunks. Great for families. Beautiful front porch with rocking chairs and spacious back deck for lounging. Large yard with creek. Great space for kids to run and play. Private neighborhood with easy access, even in the winter.
10 minutes to Downtown West Jefferson and 20 minutes to Boone. Close to New River for Kayaking and tubing. 30 minutes from AppState Stadium, Appalachian Ski Mountain, and Tweetsie Railroad.

Wonderful girl’s weekend

We went to visit my daughter (sophomore at App State). She brought her roommate and I brought my mother in law and my 7 year old daughter. We had a really good time. The house was beautiful and clean. My 7 year old loved the ‘babbling Brooke’ in the back and watching deer in the morning. We visit Boone often but this was our first time visiting West Jefferson. It was wonderful! Would definitely go again!

Get away trip

The cabin was very clean and very peaceful. You could set out on the deck and just hear the water moving slowly down the stream. Great place for a BBQ. Next its a must.

Christmas In W Jefferson and concert Saturday Night

Clean and well put together and comfortable. Close to all activities. Main TV has apple control took some getting used to for 99 yr old mom we figured out😊 Will stay here next visit! Owner very committed to pleasing and helpful for us.

Great weekend getaway

Great lil place in the mountains

We had a girls weekend up here and it was amazing! Very close to downtown West Jefferson and 30 min from downtown boone! We had a very good time!

Great cottage

This was a perfect place to stay close to downtown Boone. It was very clean. We say deer and groundhogs from the back deck! We enjoyed the town of west Jefferson. Would definitely stay here again!

Great location, great hosts

We were in town for a funeral, and ended up having weather issues. Winter advisory, lots of snow and ice. The hosts were extremely accommodating - offering to get things if we needed for the storm. We also had vehicle trouble the following day and had to leave our vehicle somewhere and ended up having to stay over our check out time. The hosts had no issues with us staying over our check out time and even offered us to stay another evening if needed. The house was very clean, and had everything we could have needed.

I was born and raised in the Deep Gap, NC area and my husband was born and raised in West Jefferson NC. We have 2 children. We love sports, hiking, hunting, fishing, kayaking, golfing, etc... We love hosting others and being able to help families have a great time in the mountains.

Why they chose this property

My husband is a contractor and found this house in 2021. He fully renovated it and we decided to turn it into a vacation rental to host others that want to see the beautiful place we call home.

What makes this property unique

This home used to be a shed. Someone had turned it into a 3 bedroom, 1 bath house in the 80s. We stripped it down to the studs and added a master bath. We named it the Crooked Creek Cottage because of the "crooked" creek behind the house.
