Looking for a romantic relaxing getaway in one of the most beautiful spots on earth? Our spacious One Bedroom unit has ocean front views and great trade wind exposure. It is on the ground floor with no stairs and easy access from the parking lot. Walk out your sliding glass door, 30 steps to the ocean bluff that overlooks Turtle Cove and Queen's Bath. The Pali Ke Kua complex is unique for its spacious layout and lush grounds. It is situated on a beautiful bluff perfect for watching whales, dolphins or sunsets. Also unique to Pali Ke Kua is the paved path that takes you down to a hidden beach, known to locals as Hideaways Beach. There you will find a BBQ pavilion, great snorkeling of colorful fish and sea turtles, shade trees and the warm Hawaiian surf. Don’t forget you can rinse off that saltwater at the beautiful swimming pool and hot tub. If you don't feel like cooking in our well stocked, newly redone kitchen, you can enjoy dinner at the on-site restaurant. So come and sit on the lanai, sip your coffee while you listen to the waves below and see the whales blowing spouts in the air and slapping their whale tales.
The location is perfect for getting to all of the North Shore’s attractions. Play tennis or golf. Princeville has world famous golf courses played by the pros with 45 scenic holes. You are only a few minutes walk to the 5 star St. Regis resort with its fine dining, another secluded beach and magnificent views. Two miles away is the Princeville centre with grocery, shops, restaurants and gas. The little village of Hanalei and its world famous pristine beaches are only a 10 minute drive away. Hanalei has its own unique feel with a variety of restaurants and cute shops. Kileaua’s lighthouse, Princeville Adventure tours, a beautifully done miniature golf course are all just a short drive away.
Back at our unit, you will find it finely appointed and stocked for your comfort. There is a king size bed with luxury linens, and flat screen TV in the Bedroom. Another flat screen TV in the living room, which has substantial couches for your comfort. There is a small desk and free wi-fi, just in case you need to touch base with work on your stay. The Kitchen is new with stainless steel appliances and granite counter tops. You’ll find lovely dishes, utensils, pots and pans to whip up something to eat all the while hearing the ocean crashing on the rocks below. We’ve provided an AeroBed if you have an extra person or two. We have stocked our unit with beach chairs, 2 snorkel sets, 2 beach mats, small cooler and beach towels. The swimming pool, hot tub and new restaurant make this resort the place to enjoy the best of Kauai.
Ahhh the sunsets....
(we just put in new hardwood floors!)
Aloha! We are Richard & Cara (Newman) Ruyle. Owning at Pali Ke Kua is a dream come true! We have 3 great kids and have loved showing them the island of Kauai. We love sharing our passion for this beautiful island which is why we love sharing this unique location with our guests. Making memories to last a lifetime is our family priority and is our wish for you as well. Our hope is that you will love it there as much as we do. To be able to sit on the lanai having a sip of something special and hear the waves crashing below is just about as good as it gets.....
Cara Newman Ruyle purchased this condo in 2014
Pali Ke Kua is such a special property. The layout is lush, tropical and spacious. Nothing is crowded there. You have access to the only paved path down to the beach in Princeville. It is maintained beautifully. The North shore beaches are world class. Our kids have snorkeled and surfed and built sandcastles. The North Shore has the perfect combination of adventure and healing relaxation. There is a Mayberry feel to Princeville that makes us so grateful for the friendliness and kindness of our neighbors there.
This Ocean front Pali Ke Kua studio is the only one of its kind. There is no road noise like other condos. Pali Ke Kua is only a short walk from the St. Regis and it's elegant restaurants and views. And again, Pali Ke Kua has the only paved path down to a secluded beach. The on site restaurant is a great addition to the property. The views are spectacular in every direction..the famous Bali Hai view in one direction and the 7th hole of the famous Makai Golf course in the other. The sunsets alone are reason to call this Pali Ke Kua unit home for your special time on Kauai.
We had an amazing time in Kauai. We stayed in Poipu for the first 3 nights and then 6 nights at Pali Ke Kuna in Princeville. While the south island is beautiful, nothing compares to the north shore - Incredible! The unit we stayed in was overlooking Turtle Cove and surrounded by breath taking views. Everything up north was easily accessible from this location and Princeville is a very upscale, well maintained community. It's only a 10 minute drive to Hannalei and all of the world renown beaches up north. We'll definitely be back.
The only negative was that the snorkeling equipment was out of order. That said, the 1st big winter swell of the season made snorkeling sketchy anyway. The photos of the condo are accurate. They miss the wonderful shower though! I feel that the price is reasonable for the area..Princeville being very Resorty. Million dollar views in an updated condo..and the pizza is pretty good across the way as well. I would love to return!
We loved our stay at this condo. The views from the lanai and kitchen were beautiful; such a great way to start the day with a coffee and end the night with a beer. The kitchen was stocked with every possible appliance and tool imaginable, which made us feel comfortable and at home. There was also beach gear (towels, Tommy Bahama chairs, snorkel gear) that meant we didn't have to pack as much. Being within short walking distance to Hideaway Beach and Queen's Bath was a bonus. We also made use of the condo's pool and restaurant which were great too! If you are staying in Princeville, we'd highly recommend this condo.
We felt instantly at home and were able to relax into our vacation immediately. The view is inspiring. Sitting on the couch in the living room you look out over the ocean as the trade winds keep everything at the perfect temperature. Walk out a few steps to the edge of the bluff and you can look down on Queen's Bath and Turtle Cove. A short walk will take you to a paved (but steep) path down to Hideaways Beach for great snorkeling.
The unit is comfortable and inviting, clean and well-maintained. It is furnished with simple elegance-- neither ostentatious nor shabby. Cozy without feeling cramped, the openness, light and view make it feel quite roomy. It is very well-equipped. Appliances are new and in good working order, and the kitchen is well-supplied with all the dishes, pans and tools you need when you want to do your own cooking.
The location is convenient. Foodland (the supermarket) and Princeville Center restaurants are three minutes away. Hanalei is maybe 10 minutes away, and Kilauea is about 10 minutes away in the other direction. Or you can walk across the parking lot to Hideaways Pizza Pub for a casual but excellent meal. It may seem pricey when you first see the menu, but the portions are generous and the cuisine is truly excellent. Not in the mood for pizza? No problem. Try the Steak Sinatra.
We enjoyed long, lazy mornings in comfort and even our working mornings (our jobs tend to go with us) were relaxed and pleasant in this lovely place. A laptop, an iPad, good coffee, and a view of Paradise...what's not to like? After a day of out-and-about it really felt like we were "coming home." All-in-all a gem of a place.
First trip to Kaua'i to celebrate our wedding anniversary. This place is a gem! The condo was lovely and clean- everything we needed was there, including beach chairs and towels for our trips to Hideaways and Hanalei Beach! We enjoyed breakfast every morning on the lanai, and on our last night were blessed with an amazing sunset. Close driving distance to Hanalei town and Kilauea, and Kapa'a is not too far off- where we enjoyed the shops and markets. Pali Ke Kua has such a homey feel that we can't wait to come back! Thank you so much!
This was our 6th trip to Kauai. We came this year to celebrate our 40th Anniversary. This condo was perfect. We love the location, the property, and the amenities of Pali Ke Kua and this unit in particular.
The condo was clean and had everything we needed. We awoke our first morning to a beautiful ocean view. We watched gorgeous sunsets from the bluff overlooking Hanalei Bay. We love being so close to the gorgeous beaches on the North Coast, Kilauea, Princeville shops, and quaint Hanalei. Can't wait to return!
